Taming:
Once you found a wild dog you can feed it dog biscuits to tame it. After you have tamed your dog it will not follow you until you right click it with a dog collar and then right click it with a leash. To make it stop following you right click on your dog while holding the leash and the dog will free roam.
Care:
If your tamed dog gets injured you can not feed it directly. Placing a dog dish down and right clicking on it while holding a meat will fill the dish and your dog will eventually go over and eat to regain health.
Breeding:
Put two tamed dogs near a torch or fire and feed them both a cookie. They will immediately produce a puppy that look like miniature versions of their parents.

Nice skins so far. Could I please request a camo skin, fitting into the colour scheme of Minecraft forests? I've tried myself but wasn't too happy with the result. Black boosts and gloves to fit in with a solder theme would be good too. I look forward to seeing your work!

Speaking as a guy with years of experience with game development, most decent coders stay away from the people with overambitious ideas and no team.
You never hear of a successful game or mod that was led by a guy with zero experience asking for everybody to do all the hard work. I'd suggest you take the time to look at the better designed mods and their developers. More often than not, the leader is also a coder and sometimes texture artist.
With that in mind, I'd suggest you pick up a java programming book at your local library and start learning. Oh, and also please for the love of god pick up a dictionary while you're there...
