Banished Isles is....A combination of Prison and Adventure. You play the role of a Banished, an inmate convicted of serious crimes and sentenced to hard labor on the Sky Isles. Do you have what it takes to success?.The server features quests for banished to complete, involving delivery jobs, dangerous experiments, betrayal, and murder. As a banished, you have been exiled to the isles. You have nothing to lose. Do whatever it takes to advance.

Guards patrol the isles looking for rule breakers. Unlike most Prison servers, these guards do not have enchanted gear. Enchanted gear does not exist on the server, and guards drop everything on them when they die. If you are feeling brave enough, perhaps you will be skillful enough to take them on.

Be a part of a new kind of Prison server concept.

So, When you join the server, you're a banished. Banished can do anything and everything. Almost. There are a few things that banished cannot do. Non-important things. You might not even notice you don't have them. However, by applying to be greylisted, you allow yourself full access to all of these things, regardless of how trivial they are in nature. This is entirely optional. You may still play without applying.

posted a message on MCProHosting - World's Largest Game Server Provider - Official Host of: Hypixel, ZexyZek, LootCrate, SkyDoesMineCraft and more!
Do not, under any circumstances, be hosted under this company.

My experience with the company has been constant downtime and headaches. I've received weeks upon weeks of free time due to the issues that it got to a point that I was always 2 months ahead of my payment without ever actually paying anything, and the gap kept getting wider and wider.

When I was first looking for servers, I was floored to see DDoS protection provided for free and such great reviews praising the company by BebopVox and Hypixel. The amount of sponsors MCPH has is staggering, so I knew it must've been a great company and I took the dive by ordering their most expensive plan, the Bedrock plan, right away. Immediately, I was set up and ready to go and all was looking very, very well.

When I ordered the server, I was surprised to learn that SSH access is not provided ( http://i.imgur.com/VAZpT7Q.jpg ) . Strange. A lot of MCPH's competitors offer it, so this was an immediately downside to the company, but I digress.

Within the first week, severe DDoS attacks caused my node to go down for nearly 48 hours ( http://i.imgur.com/8hr2rpZ.jpg ). This brings to question their supposed DDoS protection, but alright. Sure. Whatever. We'll let it slide. I just got here at a bad time, right?

Unfortunately. This downtime was merely par for the course in the grand scheme of things when it came to the disasters that were about to unfold due to this company. About a week later, my server had went down again for about 24 hours ( http://i.imgur.com/YCQJ2Q4.jpg ).

All day everyday, the most sincerest of apologies. I can't hate them for saying sorry, but eventually it got old. If only I had any idea just how bad it was about to get...

Here's what happened. Late one night I realized that my server stopped saving. I couldn't backup. Player data wasn't being saved. Nothing was able to be saved. I sent in a ticket ( http://i.imgur.com/PWzPS5L.jpg ). They eventually told me what happened. Someone on their node managed to generate a server.log file that got so big so quickly that it messed up the entire harddrive. The fact that that was even possible is a HUGE red flag and speaks volumes of MCPH's lack of hosting experience.

At this point, I'm fuming. I'm starting to look for a new host, but decided that nothing has been too awful serious so far, so I'll stick with them, thinking that it will get better. Which was easily the biggest mistake I've made so far. Because, believe it or not, it gets worse.

After the issue of the node not saving was fixed and my server brought online, a new severe issue was brought to light. The contents of my FTP were irreversibly deleted ( http://i.imgur.com/rYgvzER.jpg ).That's OK, I'll just utilize the backup system they provide, right? Thank goodness I have some backups. Wrong. The backup system MCPH provides only backs up the main world, not any other world or plugin folders. Do not use it.

The reply to the ticket basically told me I'm ed. I asked them if they could roll the harddrive back 24 hours as this no doubt effected everyone under the harddrive. The response was that they didn't have such measures in place because it simply wasn't important enough. Yeah. My FTP being wiped is not that serious. Sure thing, MCPH.

At this point, I'm done. It's time to look for a new host, so I start searching immediately. I do eventually find one, and the move goes fine. Thanks for asking! I still have some time left on the MCPH host, so I use it as a bit of a test server for a while.

All seems well for about 2 weeks, actually. Sadly, 2 weeks is the longest expanse of time I've went with MCPH without serious problems. Guess what happens after 2 weeks? My FTP is wiped again. Can you believe that? I couldn't. Here's the best part. The grand finale to the disaster that was being under MCPH. I sent them a ticket asking about the FTP being wiped. I was pretty rude about it, but at this point, who wouldn't be? Check this out: http://i.imgur.com/0y5FUt3.jpg

I quote to you the response I got from this ticket:

"We're sorry about the issues you've had with our service. The issues you seem to be having may have been caused by your server exceeding our Acceptable Usage Policy causing some of your server files to be deleted to make space and prevent damage to the node itself."

This literally implies that MCPH has an automated system that can and will delete files in your FTP if it meets some kind of invisible criteria! The funny part? Because I was using it as a test server, nobody was ever really on it. None of the tests I did were significant. So, because nobody was online, I overused my server?

If you love your files getting randomly deleted, MCPH is for you. If you like actual service, go somewhere else.
