i love it man. great job. u got the essence of the city down very well. the default texture pack looks fine. however there are higher definition versions of the default texture pack that look very nice too. u may want to look into those. wool still looks the same but with more details.
the colors are great and the street layout is awesome. i love how the roads twist and bend in random directions
Thank you so much for the kind words I will definitely look into one of those texture packs, they sound cool!
I took my honeymoon in Cinque Terre. One early morning I went for a run along that very qauy as a squall came ashore. Your screen pic @ dawn/dusk was absoultely it. I can still hear the waves crashing ashore.
Of all the things in the world to build in minecraft! To recall that moment is a real serendipity. Thanks and job well done.
I envy you! Ever since I saw the first picture I have been wanting to travel there. Thank you for the kind words, and I am glad you were able to connect with it like that :3
Really nice and when you look from the top wiew,
the roads going everywhere is really nice. It makes it more italian.
And all the color really makes me happy.
I like it, really nice and cosy, not presomptuous but well executed.
Maybe you should try and find a Texture Pack that suits it a little better than the default one.
Thank you, and yes I would have liked to find a good texture pack, however the main problems with the ones I tried were with the wool textures. They were either too bright or had too much of a defined texture. Any recommendations?
Hello all! Today, I bring to you the city of Manarola, a moderate-sized personal project that I am particularly proud of. Sadly, the server I built it on no longer exists, but I was able to sneak out a file of the city so I can play in it on a singleplayer world. I also was able to get some screenshots, and would like to share them with you
The city is based off of the fishing village, Manarola, in the Cinque Terre region of Italy. Here is what the real-life Manarola looks like:
What I took away from it was the bright, vibrant buildings; the tall cliffs; and the narrow, crowded streets. I tried to use these when crafting my own version of Manarola. After adding my own personal flare to the design, here is what I made:
So, what do you guys think? Did I get it right or did I miss it completely? Thanks for reading!

Thank you!
That is one of my favorites too. It was the hardest to build because I had to carve into the mountain though :3 Thanks!
