I just host a small server for myself and my friends and it works out just fine. Does not cost me anything, and when I get around to expanding my computer I may allow more to play on it. If anything I think I would have fun finding pay to win servers and reporting them. I can't stand most Minecraft players anymore and I hope this flushs alot of the Crap servers and there players out. It's a game that you pay for once. (at least in my case) and then I enjoy my updates, hell not the most costly game either for all it can do. Most people today have little repect anymore.
Hello, Trying to put together some small server ideas and I was wondering if the community could point me in the right direction for any Plug-ins or the like that would allow me to apply character class system and/or anything that would allow me to control what can and can't be crafted on the server without the use of mods.
I'm on the hunt now for anything but if anyone would like to help me out I would be grateful for the aid.
I Think is has all but did this texture pack, I've been updating my version and making new textures (combining from others I like too) for so time now, going to have to work on some new things for 1.7 here soon too.
Had an odd and completely evil idea for an effect of flux in the new system: Fake mobs. As in, when flux reaches a certain point, you start 'hallucinating'. Mobs that aren't really there. A creeper only you can see. Stuff that wanders in and out of the edges of your vision. That sort of thing. Imagine how amusing it would be to watch someone who just didn't care about flux levels suddenly fleeing around your server because he's convinced there's a group of charged creepers chasing him... or suddenly seeing the Ender dragon flying at him in the overworld.
Alternatively, if it was at all possible, some sort of client-side mobs that actually can hurt you but wouldn't actually show up for other players. Obviously in this case you couldn't have creepers or anything that can damage terrain, but still interesting.
While this is a fun idea, I hate to say that the illusions being able to harm you may upset some people and I mean in other ways. I have a friend that sometimes sees things and after seeing that idea they stated that she would not play this mod anymore in fear of triggering something. May sound off but sometimes it good to think of people like that, like how most people don't implement rapid flashing light effects.
Skeletons can be hard but Any corner or curve will trick them into getting to close, having some blocks to place and lure them in works well and in numbers you line them up and get them to attack each other. If anything it Cave Spiders I don't care for...
I think I'm going blind but I cant seem to find the entity ID's in the config, looking around for the ID# of a few mobs, Does anyone know where I can find them?
So far this mod does look great, I like the dark almost hidden Feel I get from it, like a hostile world of great returns but without a measure of peace of mind in sight. Looks as if the world is crawling with nasty creatures or the thick darkness that hides them, hell your not safe in the water.
Though it does look to have been slow down a lot I still wait to see when it may release someday. ^.=.^
Hello I'm enjoying seeing this mod buildup but I do what to ask, do you plan to add sounds to the minions? Maybe changed zombie sounds or so. It can be hard sometimes to tell when one has been killed, that and some people relies on sound more then sight sometimes like me. ^^
I would rather see this mod continue, I'm sure you plan on developing this mod in the direction you would enjoy. On top of that your up to date unlike the Aether. >_>
Though I do recommend a possible name change to at most remove confusion when it comes to mods.
If you ever need help I often have rather decent ideas that I don't know how to code yet, though I can do some texturing.
Thank you for the help Tedster. With that program I managed to delete the bad chucks, so that the world can rebuild them, and could repair the damage to the city easy in creative mode.
Hello all, I have ran into a set of holes in the main city of a survival game that I host for LAN's often.
They are alike the world holes I've seen on servers but these will not go away... I'm wondering if maybe the save file has become corrupt or so, just before this happened there was a power surge that shut all the computers down here while playing. like I said I'm wondering if the sudden power loss damaged the file.
If this is the case what can I do to repair it?
I greatly Apologize if I'm in the wrong thread for this or if this is a often asked question.
This happened after place the magic mirror on a dirt block, the game locked up and quickly turned black before crashing.
I am also running the newest version of the mods, Optifine(normal), Twilight wood and I have forge.
I'm hoping this is just a ID conflict between the two mods, if so can someone remind me how to fix that? (if it can be) That would be so kind.
If not a ID issue I have the error message for the makers future trouble shooting.
