    When I said Iron Shield, I meant one made of full Iron that made Iron the primary ingredient in the shield. The Current shield uses primarily wood, and only one iron ingot, in the crafting recipe, and is, therefore, a wooden shield. Plus, Just because something can block faster, doesn't mean its the only thing that will be used. If you had to choose between a shield that took 0.5 seconds to equip, but had a 50% chance of not blocking the attack or a shield that took 0.75 seconds to equip, but had a 100% chance to block an attack, I'd go with the safe bet. (I know that this isn't the case, but its just an example).


    I'd also like to add that I don't very much appreciate your accusation of fishing. I'm not trying to take other people's ideas for anything. Just because you think I might be following the actions of someone else that does that kind of thing, don't assume that you know my intention behind asking for other people's ideas. I am genuinely interested in what other people would want added to this game. If your interested in other people's ideas, then just read the main suggestions forum. That is where people are supposed to post ideas.


    But, I do appreciate your criticism and your desire to make ideas better.

    They may have been, but leather would be equal to wood. Wood tools are the equivalent of leather armor. So therefor this isn't a valid suggestion.
    I wasn't being rude, if you call that rude, you have a very sheltered outlook on life. I stated my opinion, nothing more, nothing less, and I have every right to do that.

    B: It was a bone instead


    That way, the bones would be used to tame it, then once it was tamed, you could give it an additional bone that it could chew on.

    More Shields would be fantastic because we have more than one type of armor, more than one type of axe, sword, shovel, pickaxe, anything used by the player that can, and will, be used in combat by the player. (Not all tools, weapons, armor have multiple types. Shears, Fishing Rods, Flint and Steel, Bows.) Not only would they be great, it would make so much sense to be in the game. (But why? I see no desperate NEED for it.) Starting from the wooden Shield, each tier of shield would be able to do the following:


    -Block More Melee Damage (Player currently takes 30% of melee damage in a blocked attack, a better tier shield could reduce that to say 15 or 10%) (Way to overpowered, by the time you get diamond your basically invisible)


    -More Durability (A better item means more durability, right?) (No, as I stated before, even though gold is listed as the third tier of tools/armor it has the lowest durability, even worse than wood.)


    -Faster Equip time (I noticed this because I started making a monster arena in a single player world using the new snapshots, but when you block with a shield, it doesn't instantaneously block the attack in front of you, there's an offset in the time it takes to press the block button and for the shield to block, with better shields, this offset time could be a factor to decrease (or increase for shields with Pro's and Con's) ) (But then people would just use the default one because it could block more attacks, and its cheaper to make, therefor making this whole suggestion irrelevant.


    -New Looks? (Maybe the Golden Shield looks like a Kite shield and the Iron Shield is a large Buckler shield? Not a need, but would be cool to change) (No, banners and shields are already combinable for this reason. We don't need new looks for shields, we have endless new customizable looks already.)


    Responses in bold, absolutely no support for this idea. There isn't a need for it. It doesn't have any major use.

    Yeah I understand about everything now and it wasn't a new feature. But honestly have full support for the second chat but lets be realistic here, why make a new command that does the SAME THING as the /tellraw command except for the delay part! It honestly is just a waste of time coding in a new command insted of upgrading the current /tellraw command which would take a lot less time.


    I agree with DIamondKing, theres no need to put mojang through all the work of making a whole new command, just make it so that the /tallraw command can have a "wait" tag.

    And also, theres no need for a second chat, if this is just a delayed input of text it doesn't need another chat taking up the gameplay screen.

    Im not going into specifics, just the overall idea of what the update could be.


    In 1.7 and 1.8 we got an update to the over-world and ocean biomes, with new biomes, blocks, plants, trees, a new mob, a new structure, and a new boss.

    In 1.9 we got an end update, with a new structure, a new mob, a new plant, and endless amounts of islands, and a reworking to the dragon fight.


    I suggest, that in 1.10, we get a nether overhaul, with new biomes, a new mob or two, various new blocks, structures, etc.


    As I said, I'm not going to go into specific, this suggestion is for the update as a whole, not the exact items/blocks.

    Horses already have unbreakable gear, as many people have already stated, just get a goof, fast, high jumping horse & you won't have the problem of it dying so quick. Or just continue using potions. It isn't that big of a deal.

    I agree that minecraft is in need of more biomes, and blocks... (1.10 The building update (PLS)) However, I think they should focus on adding biomes to the NETHER, in 1.7 we got new overworld terrain/generation, in 1.9 we got new end terrain/generation, so I think its past time that the nether got its overhaul. However, some of the suggestions here would make a great addition to the nether. So, I guess that would be considered partial support? Great idea!

    Iron Shield: Iron is already used in the crafting recipe for the default one, therefor this is technically already the default shield. Golden Shield: A shield of gold? Why? Gold armor, tools, & weapons are all known to be of very low durability, & are almost never used. Leather Shield: The only use of this would be to dye it, but we can basically already do that by adding banners to shields, so... Diamond Shield: This would be too expensive to make, and why do we need this when the basic one is fine?

    I personally love the new combat mechanics for 1.9, in my opinion combat in 1.8 and below (PvE and PvP) where, to put it simply, boring. Shields, cool down times for weapons, new arrows, flying fights, lower protection on armour, all pluses in my opinion.


    And honestly isn't this what we've been asking for for years? Better combat? Better fighting mechanics? And now that we've finally gotten what we wanted all I see is people complaining! Its ridiculous.


    (Also, 1.10, Building Update, PLEASE!!! O_o)
