I am so excited for 1.9 now that I might explode... *BOOM*... Yep it happened. Anyways, Im glad they went with the customizable shields, I believe I recall someone (possibly on twitter?) recommending that. And the end overhaul... As soon as it comes out, I'm making a gigantic end base.
They said that you can't get to the other island without these "Ender Gateways", however, Im interested to see what prevents you from pillaring over. Personally I would like to be able to bridge between each island, would be a pretty cool looking build.
