These ads can do automatic downloads, and worst of all bring up nasty pop-ups. I'm just saying, why would mods use a WEBSITE that's known to give users problems and pop-ups.

On all my years clicking adfly link, i haven't seen an "Automatic Download"
If you're too scared of the pop-ups then use a "fair" ad blocker, so you only hide malicious ads.

Maybe when he finishes the mod he could work on compatibility with other mods.
Right now i don't think that is his top priority

don_bruce posted a message on Realistic First-Person Rendering (A re-invention of First Person View)

    NOTICE:

Due to the fact that all the current bugs are nothing I can fix (double-hand bugs with Shaders and body errors with Animation), and the fact that this mod was supposed to be a one-off mod, I am formally discontinuing support. The code is open-source, however, so anyone who wants to continue the project is free to do so. I don't expect someone to do so (dreamers are a dime a dozen), but if someone happens to do just that let me know and I'll lock this thread and re-direct all people to the new thread.

This mod does one thing and one thing only: renders your body while in first-person view.

Not much else to say about that...

What can be said about Realistic First-Person Rendering (RFPR) is that it's right here, right now, and won't crash on you. RFPR does not use coremods or reflection, as it only consists of a single class file. It uses the default rendering system in Minecraft, which makes it 100% compatible with mods like Optifine, Mo' Bends (thanks GoblinBob!), and Better Animations. The single class file makes updating a breeze, so I'm able to bring it to you in a slew of versions. Like all my mods, 1.7.10 will be supported forever.

Pressing F1 will cycle you through the various mode. You can change the properties of these modes in the config file, and even delete and add new modes. By default, 5 modes are enabled. They are:

    1. Visible 3D arms, visible body, and visible HUD.
    2. Visible 3D arms, visible body, and hidden HUD.
    3. Visible 2D arms, visible body, and visible HUD.
    4. Hidden 2D arms, hidden body, and hidden HUD.
    5. Visible 2D arms, hidden body, and visible HUD. (default Minecraft mode).

Beware that shaders breaks mode 1, so if you end up with two hands (or three) that's shaders getting in the way. I will not fix shaders-based bugs! They stem from a failure to use the event system in rendering calls and are beyond my power to fix.

Also note that some items, like maps, will use default to a mode with 2D arms instead of 3D arms when held. This is because these items only work when rendered with 2D arms. By default, maps, compasses, and clocks cause this switch. There's a spot in the config file for you to add other items (or delete one of the aforementioned ones) should you wish.

Take a look at what you get with your download, and then give it a whirl. You'll be surprised at what you've been missing!

Guns were never our one focus, probably why.

Better gun mods always existed. It just so happens beardie here has made perhaps the best.

Very true, you have made vehicle quality that I could never even dream of making =P

    Quote from TheOneAndOnlyOrion»

    *sigh*

And i though Mods like these and FlansMod would be able to run alongside, not having Acid spit at each other by more or less random People. Woo.
One of our Community memebers Cobbled together this nice, little list. I'm sorry to kinda go offtopic a bit, that's why i'm gonna pack it into a Spoiler. Dont read if you're not interested whatsoever.

This is a more or less direct Quote from said Member:

"- Minecraft is limited to 20 ticks per second. To get past that for better fire-rate would mean to break the core code, which means asking Mojang to do something for us, and screw everyone else's mod up and as well as their own.
    "recoil system"
    - Granted, original FM recoil isn't that great. But FM+ is.(FM+ being an Improved, 3rd party Version made by the Japanese Community)
    "lock-on rocket system"
    - If he can apply better vector mapping for lock ons, why not?
    "ammo system"
    - It's almost as realistic as what Arma can apply."

FYI: Some FlansMod Community people just felt a littlebit offended.

Delete this, if you want, It's decently offtopic afterall(I guess.) But it's still explaining those points from another perspective.

Here's my replies to those replies =P

-Yeah, even my mod doesn't have correct fire rate because of the tick rate.
-Lock on isn't even a valid argument since my mod doesn't even have it, so I'm questioning why Will used it as an argument.
-Ammo System is barely different between the two mods. My mod simply allows you to refill empty magazines with bullets, which could be a pro or a con because it makes it a bit more complicated. It's up to the user's preference which one is better for them.

While almost all of my fps aspects are equal or better to Flan's mod, weapons seems to be the smaller point of Flan's mod. If I remember correctly Flan's mod was originally a vehicle mod, and that's what it does best. It's a great vehicle mod if I do say so myself.
Flaming other mods is pointless, I shouldn't have even thanked Will for his message. We should be working together, not against eachother.

I should have paid more attention to how offensive his comment really was, I apologize for that.

This mod is amazing! but I have just 1 request , you can improve animations when they crouch and proning? because is a little bit anoying while i´m in F5 mode, and a cuestion: are you from mexico or something like that? because in the screenshot it says "Dificulty changed to easy" in spanish

PD: Sorry for my english i´m from mexico and i don´t talk english very well

F5 mode smoothness is not a priority at the moment, but the proning lighting glitches are =)

I am not from Mexico, but I speak a good deal of Spanish. I am very bad with Spanish grammer however =P One day I was just decided, "You know what? I'm gonna set my MC to Spanish." Later on I decided to keep it as a way for Minecraft to help keep my Spanish going xD

Wait, just out of off-topic curiosity, are you more of a Call of Duty person, or Battlefield person?

If those are the two options, Battlefield. I never played a Call of Duty game until this year actually, and it's to unrealistic and arcade styled for me.
I like Battlefield for it's large scale battles, but what bugs me is it's damage model unless playing the realistic mode that nobody plays =P

My favorite game of all time though is Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad. It is the most realistic shooter I have ever played, and certainly the most realistic WW2 game in existence.

My goal is to make this mod as realistic as possible within the confines of minecraft, but there will always be commands to turn off the realism for fans of Call of Duty. For example, the arcadeMode option lowers the damage which makes it less tactical, you can just run around shooting without worrying about dying the moment someone spots you.

The amount of soldiers fighting in a battle makes it feel more realistic as well, more bullets flying, etc. Unfortunately until the official server is ready it will be hard to have such battles with just bots, since they require more processing power(Pathfinding, searching for enemies, etc. while the player uses their own mind).

My inspiration, however, does not come from any video game or movie. My Great Grandfather is a WW2 Veteran, and last year he was telling me about some of his experiences, he got me interested in WW2, and very soon after I thought of making this mod. Since then WW2 has been my primary interest, I now have many books, airsoft guns, and even clothes from the era. My Great Grandfather even just gave me his M1943 field jacket a couple weeks ago.

Update 2.1, Download on first page =)

    -Added content pack system!
-Refined some game features involving the Team Deathmatch weapon selection
-Many other things I forgot =P

    Bug Fixes:

    CTB#15: Bots can't damage anything
CTB#16: Exiting a gui will cause your gun to shoot

As of now, the content pack system has been released! Tutorials are coming as soon as possible. Until then, you can begin making models. They currently support .obj, still waiting for permission from Flan to add support for models made with Toolbox 2.0. Please note: .obj allows for higher quality models, but is harder to get positioned properly in the game. If you are all about ease, wait for Toolbox 2.0 support =)

Someone must know how to setup Github for this mod! We're so close to open source! We can't give up now! Everyone who reads this, please try and find someone willing to help!

I'm taking a crack at it now.

I do want to get it to a working state though before I create an opensource repo for it. Appreciate the decompilation you did, it helps.

Unfortunately, it's not *that* simple - decompiling is an art, and a lot of the original code needs to be manually reconstructed. Also I need to change some core stuff as not to breach Mojang license - Click_Me had to modify core classes, which itself isn't bad but we are not allowed to redistribute the SOURCE of these changes for legal purposes.

TL;DR: I will work on it, but I need to re-write a bunch of stuff - I will make GitHub repo after I get it to recompile and verify that it works.

Luckily it's not a very large mod, so I should be able to figure it all out pretty quick. Stay tuned :)
