Its funny because you can still use a texturepack without using the resource pack converter by simply replacing the vanilla textures, assuming that the new textures are still in the same alignment in the files.

The name you have now would become your "base" name and stay at that, you wouldn't be able to change it, while the name you can freely change is your display name, which shows up to you and other players, and can be used with /tp, /give commands and such. However, you would be banned, whitelisted and blacklisted from your base name, and ops would have a command, for example, /name Crimsollite, that would reveal your base name.
That's just my idea on how it could work. -

We both enjoyed exploring the mansion and fighting the edited mobs without caring how any of it worked, but at first we thought Herobrine's status field was some sort of freaky lag.
I couldn't keep a straight face in Zatho's (am I saying it right?) boss fight, it was hilarious to see my friend being attacked by floating Jack-O-Lanterns with golden hoes.
However, one thing I'd like to point out is that in the Wither's boss fight, you can just use the Herobrine Madness axe to destroy the jukebox, thus activating the BUD switch and ending the game with the final boss being killed. But overall, by far the best map I've ever seen.
And to all the people stuck in the first room, command blocks need to be set to true in your server.properties file. -

Mine was when I'd just bought Minecraft; I was in a hole in a cliff. I'd been digging a diagonal rudimentary step mine for some cobblestone, and it started RAINING. This tremendous roaring filled the whole place.
"Is something coming for me?"
"Is the computer screwing up?"
"Is the world ending?"
I've also been creeped out a bit by the ambience noises in my early days. Even now I look up the top of my mine when I hear one underground.

Some guy went into our house while we were offline, and locked all our furnaces for himself.

I knew creepers were bad, but not that they could only spot you from 16 blocks off. This particular one was at about 30.

New survival world, I was lodging in an NPC village overnight (it was right next to my spawn). In the morning, I woke up, wacked the door open and went straight outside.
A creeper was waiting in the one-block wide space between the door and the first window v_v
I had no armour and ended up with a heart or so left, and the whole front wall was blown out.
