posted a message on 0.8.0 and what you would like to see...
A redstone update all by itself that adds most or all features of redstone. I don't care how long it takes, as long as they take there time and don't just add pressure plates and levers, and don't leave it covered in bugs *even though redstone is bound to have tons of bugs hopefully they'll try to get rid as many of possible before sending it to the public to test and find more bugs* then I'll be fine :)

Still doesn't speed up the development time of MCPE any further.

There could be 20 million people/sales and It'd still probably be this slow >_<

Its taking long enough for it to be posibble.

I ain't getting my hopes up, all I see in the near future is realms improving with bug fixes and performance, and perhaps a nice looking final product in the future with skins.

I'm not sure, but I believe name tags are coming in 0.7.2

This thread has become a rep party.

I debate that spamming rep is bad and will argue to the death on why it's bad!

    Just kidding :P

Just a tad bit of a bump here, but does anyone know if this still works for 0.7.0?

I tried it jailbroken survival mode, and it doesn't seem to work.......

EDIT: Your suppose to put 6401010D not 6401000D as suggested by the tutorial ._.

posted a message on Nether Reactor Tip (DON'T LOOSE YOUR GOLD, DIAMONDS, AND IRON!)
    Quote from dlcoates1

I know this post is old, but I thought since there is a lot of new MCPE players, and since the MCPE discussion thread has really picked up since this post was first created, I thought it might help people out. So, friendly bump ^_^

I do have another reason for posting though. A question if you will. When you first created this video, and got the gold back as well as your core, did you get your core back by chance? Or does it simply not turn into netherrack/obsidian? I couldn't really tell, but it looked like you mined the core after the nether reactor shut down, which makes me wonder if it doesn't change like the rest of the reactor does.

The nether reactor core itself turns into what Johan describes as a "scar". Pretty much a dirty blackened core. But when you mine it out, it become blue again and can be re-used as many times as you want.

It simply does not turn into netherrrack/obsidian, but rather stays as itself.

posted a message on Zombies not having burning animation
    Quote from GM027

Lol, I know I set myself up for these sorts of things, so I have to say not to chew up my post, because I know it will happen. :P

I don't know about performance issues though. I run a 16GB iPad 2, 2GB of free space, I don't see how it could be a performance issue. Though if you mean the game itself and not the device's hardware, I can see that, there are an awful lot of mobs that roam the night-time, which is also why I play on peaceful when I'm building my house or want to simply take it easy. When I want TNT or some bonemeal, that's when I turn the mobs on.

Well I believe back in the 0.2.0-0.3.0 there was performance issues with zombies burning during daytime, so to fix that issue they made it so that only zombies in your render distance start burning to death. It was sort of a surprise when you see a zombie or a few zombies for the first time after several minutes into day time burning. And whenever a large amount was burning, it was kinda laggy, even with the smoke animation.

But still, they managed to re-fix that again to where all mobs on your map burn, or rather smoke out to their death. I think they may be holding back fire on mobs at daytime because of older devices. Then again they could just make it fall in animated water/fire/ option. If it's on, they have fire when exposed to daytime, if it's off, they emit smoke.

You don't like survival mode normal difficulty? Why not? I find it addicting to come out of my home at night, with my armor and sword, and beat the heck outta every mob out there. Whether it be creepers, spiders, zombies, or skeletons *Skeletons and creepers being the most annoying* :P

Btw, the reason why I may seem to be a bit impatient was because when spiders first came out, some people reported bug reports because the spider was as slow as a zombie. Well, 0.3.3 to 0.7.0 it was never fixed. I fear the same may come out for this bug as well, unless there's some reason for it such as old devices and performance, but I suggest they put it under that animated water/fire option as explained above :)

posted a message on anyone had a house fire yet
After what I thought was a stable fire place in my 0.5.0-0.7.0 , became a horrible house fire after I came back from mining and exploring caves underground.

Let's just say that world creation is no longer among us in this world......

Methinks some people have better control over their patience than others.

Personally, I see the bug yes. Could I care less? Much yes. As long as the game has no severe bug like you can't collect wood or can't eat the food you make, I'm not complaining at all.

Though I do wish they did fix the burning in the new update, whenever I burn trees with flint & steel, the fire shows up all black. Ah well, I have my patience, I can wait it out. :)

Don't think about chewing me up, Crazy minecraft, I try to avoid these types of arguments regularly.

But you look so chewy D:

Meh, maybe I can ask a mod maker to fix the bug and upload it as a patch.

Perhaps the reason why theres no burning animation is because of performance issues? Now that I think about it theres tons of zombies and skeletons at night waiting at day to burn to death and that could be unstable for older devices.

Agreed, it's alright to provide some constructive criticism, but pure flaming isn't going to be tolerated here.....

I meant us as players, not me in particular /:

And it's not like you're the only one who didn't get a Realm, there are a few Realms servers up in the section (including mine) that you could join. You don't have to be completely left out.

I'm talking about the huge population MCPE has behind it in general. I'm sure those people who keep to the appstore as a source of news were thinking "Hey, multiplayer is coming 3-4 months from now, Awesome!" and not "It's going to be a slow process, I may not even have much of a chance to test it out, but multiplayer is coming out 3-4 months from now. It may be imcomplete..... there may be barely any servers...but hey....it's progress!....right?"

I'm not exactly sure this is true, but last time I checked, I believed there were no servers available, that or barely any servers available. Any servers released were literally gone in the blink of an eye. The casual experience to enter and play multiplayer is taken away, it's now first come first server, and you have to be a lottery winner to be there at the right place, and the right time to host a realms server. What I'm saying is, realms should of been secondary. Making a server application run off your PC, hosting it for free....that would of been much better. Why? Tons and tons of more testers! More progress for the devs to solve out, Mojang wouldn't have to worry about server costs and their own servers in general. Just how well the application runs for most people's pc's! And the end result is we all get to enjoy that product for free!

Nah, I'll be glad I jailbroke and am now enjoying a casual experience of entering a PocketMine server. I'll wait till Mojang can pick up and realize the majority of players who want to host a server want one with more hack protection, plugin support, and most of all: the end result is free! Of course Realms is perfectly acceptable to make it a paid service, but I'd prefer a server I can run off my own pc or phone for free, so that other users can enjoy as well. I'd prefer Johan putting in the work to make a server application like that for free, rather then working on realms.

We're the other developers, we're some of their biggest help in rooting out the problems.

Stop whining and enjoy being part of the experience.

Not meaning to be rude, but if your part of the other developers, why don't you have some sort of verifcation like a badge that says "Mojang" on it for your rank.

Sorry, but unless you have that, you seem like a fake to me.....

Oh yeah, sure, I can be part of the multiplayer experience!.....Oh wait...I can't... because even after waiting 3-4 months for the hyped multiplayer update....I gotta wait even longer until the whole MCPE community can join in on the fun......because of realms....

    Yeah.....
