Hello everyone! I have a problem and I hope someone here could help... I just started modding with forge, and I am making a simple mod, but I need help with recipes.
So how would I change the 'S' into a maybe a stick, or diamond, or something?
Try looking at this:
this.addRecipe(new ItemStack(Item.bed, 1), new Object[] {"###", "XXX", '#', Block.cloth, 'X', Block.planks});
That is the code for the bed crafting recipe. After your ‘S’, say block.whatever. For instance if you wanted planks your coding would look like this:
GameRegistry.addRecipe(new ItemStack(mod_MainClass.SteelBlock, 1), new Object[] {
"SSS", "SSS", "SSS", 'S', Block.planks mod_MainClass.SteelItem
});Also sticks and stuff are considered items, not blocks. So sticks would be Item.stick
I am making redstone tutorial videos. Although the first is very basic, more videos will be coming out with harder stuff. I will put the links to all the videos below! Enjoy!
The Collector is a Minecraft challenge. The challenge is to fill a double chest with every block and item in the game! I am trying to do this! You can see my progress below!
I think the enchated pumpkin is too overpowered. Let's say you spawn in a world. Right next to you there is a ravine with iron. There is surface lave. You see a group of 7 pumpkins. BOOM. You have something that can fight for you in a matter of a few minutes. You should then have to put the enchanted pumpkin in an enchantment table to work. Different amounts of experince levels (is that what you call them) would do different things such as:

Once again this was the answer I needed Thanks very much! Upvote for you!

Thank you very much for the reply. It helped and now the crafting recipe works! I will be sure to upvote your comment.
P.S. Is there somewhere I can go to find what the blocks are called in the code?
