posted a message on Best Headphones for $40-70 (Australia)
Hi I'm Jay, and I'm searching for a good set of headphones to buy, but I'm looking to get the absolute best for my money. I enjoy music and play games occasionally, so the sound quality is what my main concern is with. Also looking for quality in terms of build, don't want them breaking after a month. The microphone is mostly a non concern because I rarely voice chat online.

I've asked a lot of groups this question and I seem to always get extremely conflicting responses that don't really solve anything. People throw brand names and no actual suggestions and it also doesn't solve anything.

Can anybody recommend a quality set of headphones for this price? It'd be really appreciated.

    Quote from SlamDrag

Oh, one of those kids who thinks they're entitled to be rich.

You have to WORK for money. You don't just get money. Get some skills (because currently you have none), practice those skills and work hard at them. Then start working for someone else using these skills. Working in a professional environment will develop your skills way more than just learning on your own. Then after you've saved up a bunch of money perhaps then you can start thinking about starting your own business using your skills.

99% never make more than million bucks in their lifetime.

Anybody who thinks this are those 99% that will never make more than a million bucks in their lifetime.

You've pretty much lost before you've begun.

You've heard the phrase "If you have to ask, the answer is no"? That's what applies here.

If you're a person who is capable of making $50k at age 11, you wouldn't have to ask a bunch of random people on a forum how to do it. You'd already know, and you'd already be doing it. If you have to ask, you're not going to get a useful answer.

    I agree with this.

The people on this thread aren't going to give actual success advice because they haven't succeeded themselves, and that's why they think it's impossible, except for that one guy who said he made $45000 from an instant message program at age 12.

OP, you're going to have to come up with your own action plan and really put action to it, otherwise you're not going to get what you want.

    You know what, you're right.

Human nature, it is how it is. One of your friends, or you, will develop feelings. Some day, it will happen. You can't hang out with opposite sex without this happening.

Sounds terrifying. I will bide my time and lay low until the day all my female friendships suddenly collapse into dust and sex.

Well screw these forums I'm out

    I'm new here lel :3

EDIT: Forgot to add that it was a fact I read on twitter about how psychology suggests that it is impossible to be truly friends with the opposite fact :\

My second comment is merely my opinion, and I can't be bothered to back it up with evidence.

There is a line between 'friends' and 'truly friends'.

Just saying 'I have female friends' does not prove my point invalid yet. You have not elaborated on how close your bond is with your cohorts, and your age, sex drive, etc. There are many different factors determining the definition of 'friendship', and desire for sex (sexual tension) is also a key factor. I will not elaborate any further here lelelelelel

    Quote from Deemez

There's a difference between having girl-friends and really close girl-friends.
Sure, you can be friends with the opposite sex, but the guy above me speaks as a fact.
Having a close relationship to a girl is near impossible, because in nearly all cases, either one of them will develop stronger feelings.

    Okay.

I have female friends that I can hang out with, go to the beach, go to the movies and still just be friends. I can talk to them and confide in them. Even if I find them attractive, it doesn't mean I want to form a further relationship with them.

If you guys can't keep a friendship going without blurting out "I NEED SEX" maybe the problem lies with you individuals, and not "psychology". This thread shows there are plenty of people with close female friends that aren't torn to shreds by sexual tension.

Not sure if this has been said before but might as well

psychology says it is near-impossible to be friends with the opposite sex

    Quote from InternetTooFast

The single biggest reason that deep friendships between men and women fail is sexual tension. Women I spoke to consistently said that it is “difficult to impossible” to have fulfilling friendships with men because as the friendship develops, men will inevitably want to elevate the relationship to a romantic level. Similarly but in much simpler terms, men I spoke to said that it is difficult to be friends with women “when you want to sleep with them”. Apparently, the tension between men and women can be so thick and muddies the waters of friendship so much that both genders are resigned to compartmentalize each other as a form of self-preservation.

I have female friends, point invalid.

Your "psychology" has nothing on evidence.
