I'm glad to see you fixed the issue. It may have been a bit of malware that snuck onto your rig and started camping out in your ram that restoring your machine got rid of. Others have been having issues with 1.8 lagging but I haven't heard so much of server de-syncing.
Well my drive shouldn't be too much of an issue. I've done many downloads on steam while playing mc on my SSD.
(still uploading footage of it, if only my upload speed was as good as my download speed)
I would still check those other points I mentioned. Maybe a new program started running in the background since the last time you logged in (before today).
It sounds kinda like a server de-sync issue. Make sure you don't have any programs in the background reading/writing to your hard drive a lot, including other programs using the windows swap file heavily. Also check to make sure you don't have anything using a lot of ram or cpu (other than javaw.exe).
If that doesn't work try giving javaw.exe above normal priority in task manager. If all else fails someone smarter than I may have a reasonable explanation lol
I think its awesome to see girls/women getting into games, especially when they're better than I am. And thats my very adult male perspective. Just as its already been stated, its most likely kids doing the harassing. They probably think they'll get cooties from girls/women playing on the same server.
Hmm... I'm no expert on forge or anything, but maybe try removing "XX:HeapDumpPath=MojangTricksIntelDriversForPerformance_javaw.exe_minecraft.exe.heapdump" from your startup parameters in your profile.
Maybe a little too pointless? Maybe just an asthetic thing imo. But what I think of fire boots...
When you run around in them you leave a trail of tiny flames that do nothing to the environment, just randomly lasting between 1/4 of a second and a full second.
You still melt snow when you walk over it, but only melt ice if you stand still for a couple seconds.
You have a 1% chance of taking a 1 second hit of fire damage when putting them on.
Walking over flammable blocks won't catch them on fire (really, when's the last time you caught something on fire when you put flames to the TOP of it?)
Standing next to flammable blocks or another player too long will breifly catch them on fire.
Theres a random chance between 1% and 5% of the boots going out by stepping in water.
Gives 15%-25% fire protection when walking thru flames, but no protection against falling in lava.
They randomly will let out fire particles every now and then (kinda like lava).
Crafted by placing one magma cream in the crafting grid with leather boots (blaze powder has to have a way to actually stick eh?) and you get flammable boots. Wear them and walk thru flames or place them in a crafting grid with a flint and steel to ignite them (walking thru flames will still hurt the player if not already ignited).
So. I've tried removing, re-adding and than removing, re-downloading then re-adding. Also, I have changed NEI to utility and cheat modes in each case but NEI still acts like it's in recipe mode, where the left hand side has only the options button. I was wondering what I needed to do to get this working right. I really love this mod and want to use it.
I am on MC 1.6.4 and am using these mods
Chicken Chunks
Ender Storage
Not Enough Items
+ CodeChickenCore
+ NEIPlugins
Extra Doors
Forestry
Inventory Tweaks
Mo' Chickens
Buildcraft
TreeCapitator
+ bspkrsCore
Thermal Expansion
+ CoFHCore
Zan's Minimap
Project Red
+ Power Crystals Core
+ Base
+ Integration
+ Mechanical
Open Blocks
+ Open Mods Lib
Morph
Mr. Crayfish's Furniture
Tinkers Construct
Mine Factory Reloaded
Damage Indicators
Waila
Ore Spawn
Any help would be welcomed. Thanks.
Heh... I'm having this issue in 1.7.2, but being in cheat mode, I try to give myself one of anything (mod related or vanilla) via a right click, Minecraft takes a dump on me. But somehow, sometimes it'll randomly start working normally and not have another issue. But on my servers it works perfectly every time.
Edit: I think I figured it out.
Go into your saves folder and open the NEI folder. Then open the folder matching your save name and open nei.cfg. Change cheatmode=0 to cheatmode=1 then reload the save.

Btw, what version of minecraft are you running?
