I can open up my world just fine, but I can't interact with objects (levers, etc), any changes I make are reversed after logging out, and other chunks load -incredibly- slowly. Unmodded 1.3.2 - have updated Java and forced a MC update.
Any updates re: this challenge? How many more houses do you think you'd need?
I'll take as many as I can get - my aim is to have fifty or a hundred total, whatever I don't get from others I'll build myself. It needs to be enough that someone playing the map isn't going to go "oh hey, the same house I already did". I haven't worked on the map in a bit since I'm in my last semester of college, so I've been busy with other stuff (read: playing LoL to avoid being productive). It is not shelved, though, and I expect to resume work on it over summer.
What material looks good with endstone( I have made a skeleton but I need a material to fill the gaps in the walls. Also I might be going to skimpy on the lighting... Could you check once I'm done(I use peaceful so....)
1 Last question. Is a 2x2 block well to much water?
Sandstone, Lapis, most colorful blocks, glass. Low-level lighting is fine and even good, most likely I'll be removing most of the lighting from the zone anyway to allow for some combat. 2x2 blocks of water is perfectly fine, I just didn't want something that looks like it was built by freaking Aquaman.
Hey, when is the next map gonner come out? I really love your work
And are you ever going to update your maps to contain 1.0 content and make them work with the hunger system?
Forgotten Depths will probably never be updated, if only because I consider Sandy Hollows a successor to it. The Skies already work with 1.0 fine. I'm in my last semester of college and school/money is taking most of my time, but I haven't forgotten about the maps.
If you want to make a 'complex' of multiple structures linked by bridges or the like, you can do that too - there'll be a 3 block wide 'street' between the buildings.
Well, that makes sense now. Do you plan on any of these buildings having goodies (goodies =/= basic supplies chest) or wool?
Also, what if you make the floor out of a wool already used (e.g. using white wool in the last section)?
Goodies will be scattered around, yeah. Probably nothing too amazing, maybe a chest with a few gold bars or an enchanted iron sword.
The wools will be well-hidden enough that players might decide to come back for them later, so no to that. I know it's a bit of a restriction, but there's no avoiding it in this kind of map design.
I assume that if you're a CTM maker, you know Vechs. If you've seen Legendary or Nightmare Realms, there is hardly any stone until the later areas.
I don't give stone out immediately either; the zone these buildings are fairly late in the map. That said, my maps aren't anywhere near those difficulties and never will be, by design. There's a difference between "challenge" and "repeated kick in the nuts".
Hmm. I won't be able to help you anytime soon but I will ask: If this is CTM, why is stone allowed?
I'm not sure why it wouldn't be. Stone is too essential a material to make a monument block; you can't even make a furnace without it. My monuments are typically wool, metal blocks, and perhaps obsidian.
Can i just give you part of the base and you place it over the rest? Like I'll give you 3 blocks of the base and you place it onto of the other two layers?

Sure, but I think you may be misunderstanding the problem, unless DirectX causes network lag. My framerate is fine. What specs do you need?

Unfortunately no, since that's one of the blocks I -am- using for the monument. Snow and Lapis work well.

Oh. Yeah, I can fix that, no problem. That's literally a ten second fix.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by this.
Keep them coming, kiddies!
