Radeon HD 7700 Series....though I am a few drivers behind so I'll see what happens if I update.

ok, updated drivers to latest, still crashed, BUT I did realize the log mentioned the FML loading screen, downgraded to 1388, BAM! works.

It is the loading screen that is causing the issue.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm I'll have to get with fry on that.

I tested it with just forge, so that is the first hurdle that has to be taken care of.

Oh, then it's a GPU issue... in which your hardware doesn't fully support what I'm doing to the rendering engine.

What graphics card are you using?

A Bug from Voxelmap and Colored Lights Core:

The problem is,if a press the M Button (Fullscreen Map) MC shutting down.

    Paste Bin Link:http://pastebin.com/gdLM7AEZ

    Version from Colored Lights Core:1.3.7.37

    Version from Voxelmap :1.5.6

Your pastebin was deleted, so I never got a chance to read it. This might be a mod incompatibility, or it might be a GPU issue. A full client log would be idea, but if you can only paste the crash report, then we can work form there.

PS. If I normal small Map open all OK

    That's good

    PSS.Please this Mod for 1.8

So........... 1.8 is going to be terrible. I'm hopeing to fix a lot of the existing issues over time as I learn more about this setup, and once I have a better framework for this in place, then there are roughly 3 or 4 major milestones that need to be hit before I can even consider working on 1.8. Minecraft changed the rendering pipeline's front end, which makes my job a whole lot nastier.

i was waitin for this for years :)

but looks like it can slowdown even more my minecraft D:

because i can now use shaders at 30+ fps ¬¬

good luck with the project :D

Currently, you can NOT combine this mod with the shadercore... so you can only use CLC, or shaders. Considering I'm not moving very fast, you'll have a much more complete experience playing with the shadercore. (Those look pretty sweet even without colors) Thanks for stopping by!

do you have plans to update the mod to 1.8? also add a thing called chisel packs which could add new chiseled blocks by just making new textures.

Oh, and about "Chisel Packs" I'm just going to say no. It's too open ended right now, and you'll have world save issues everywhere. You'd need to limit a feature like that quite heavily in order to make it useable... but at what point does that become more work than just adding the requested blocks directly? (Or retexturing already-existing blocks to look different?)

It might be more worth your time submitting new block ideas, and maybe even textures (if you feel up to it) here or to Github. There's no harm in asking, but there's no guarantee we'll accept it either. If you think it's so cool that it has to be in Chisel-2, then there's a chance we might agree! So don't be afraid to ask about new blocks... just... not in the way you're thinking about it.

Open ended "pack support" just sounds like a large nightmare to maintain and write code for. I don't think it will work.

is there a way to add blocks to a chisel group? clear glass from Tinkers Construct isn't chiseleable, but all other forms of standard glass (including quite clear glass from EnderIO) are chiselable into the other types.

Yes, but you have to install Minetweaker3 and Modtweaker, and then write a script to modify your chisel configuration: http://minetweaker3.powerofbytes.com/wiki/ModTweaker:Chisel_2_Support

Adding a bit to what WarlordJones said:
Mods are having a ridiculously hard time finding what they need in 1.8. The entire front-end to the rendering pipeline (how we draw stuff) was simply dropped/replaced. What was old and familiar is now completely different. To make matters worse, it's a bit more complicated (in my opinion) and not as fully featured.

From what I can see, mods that added cool (non-cube) block designs or entities are now missing half of their content. It's not that we have to spend the time figuring out how to make the update work... It's that we have to rebuild all of the missing components completely. Chisel-2 was hit hard, because of all of the automatic fancy things we do to blocks. We have to rebuild all of that, and it's a slow and somewhat painful process.

We have a guy who has been looking into moving some of the source to 1.8. It will take some time, and we have to make sure everything is rebuilt properly. I took the time to catch up (and see how bad everything is) and identified some things that forge may need in order to help everyone through. As for now... it's still a waiting game, as we deal with the massive (and really cool) change that minecraft threw at us.

It it possible to have light "dyed" by colored glass,

Like white light going through blue glass to make blue light?

What you are describing is "Colored Opacity" and a planned feature, but it requires that the lights work all by themselves first :)

Heaton put some great effort into the Hardcore darkness issue. We're probably going to find a way to extend the dark/moonlight color out to the api... with a specific hook to enable hardcore darkness! (maybe in our own config) But we were messing with the color of moonlight this evening, and we were able to make it look a bit like it does in hardcore darkness!

Botania, BluePower and GardenStuff also have CLC compatibility (those are off the top of my head - I think a few others do as well). I think Reika's mods do as well, though I've not tested those thoroughly because reasons. Keep in mind - Project: Red's CLC compatibility needs to be enabled in its config, and as of P:R build 75 the light colors don't match the lamps. Check the compat spreadsheet linked in this thread's OP for an example of that I'm talking about.

Hmm... they probably reversed their metadata->color order... and didn't change the lights. That shouldn't be hard to fix.

Hardcore Darkness did lower the surface light level at night, but only to about the level of light you see in caves. So it took away moonlight. In any case, I only did that as a test. I don't actually play with Hardcore Darkness, I was just trying to see if entities would still glow in darkness.

Maybe it has something to do with how shader rendering affects entities? I've noticed a very slight brightening of mobs with some shaders - though not all of them. RRe36's shaders, for instance, did the brightness thing, but Sildur's didn't. I know know what the difference is between them.

It's very possible that I defined brightness "incorrectly", but I suspect that the entity renderer isn't correctly modified.

In darkness, there is a very subtle increase in the brightness, but it's really most pronounced in sunlight. Here's a comparison for darkness:

There is one oddity that I can't figure out the specific cases it appears in. It may just be associated with darkness, but sometimes things have a bluish cast:

I tried installing hardcore darkness, though it wasn't pitch black, but even in the lower light level, entities still glowed a bit:

The pigs don't seem to have a bluish cast there, though, or else it's just hard to see it because the pink cancels it out.

If anything glows an unexpected color, it'd be blue. So that makes sense on a hunch.

As for the hardcore darkness thing, they only change one line of important code.

I wrote an entire rendering engine that avoids the line of code they edited (basically)............. I replaced the lightmap, with a shader, so while the hardcore darkness mod is successful in editing the source code of Minecraft, I edited everything else... so it won't work.
    More about that here: https://github.com/lumien231/Hardcore-Darkness/issues/5
