Hello all, I come here today seeking some help, but first let me tell a little about myself. I currently lead a PvP battalion of a fairly large PvP clan, and we are based on a towny server. The battalion itself is more geared towards rapid response attacks and so we are very well-trained, but also currently undermanned. We have an easily defensible fort in the polar region of the map, and resources are not a problem at all. However, a large rival has announced an invasion of the server to be within the next week, and so here is my question/problem: What shall I do to prepare further, and how shall I go about doing said preparations?
Firstly, my utmost concern is the lack of forces available. Recruit has been rather slow due to the qualifications needed for the battalion (mainly PvP skills) so I was wondering if any of you knew of any ways to recruit efficiently and quickly.
My other concern is of how to defend the fort itself in the event of an attack. While my battalion will be doing most of the assaults along with defending the capital city, there is still the chance that our base is attacked itself. While we have standard walls, what defenses do some of you know about that could possibly prove to be helpful in our defense?
There are going to be some fairly large battles, both sides field about 30-40 active fighters each. Any help would be greatly appreciated, it's going to be a lot of fun, but I wish to be on the winning side ! Thanks for all your guys help.

How mature do you think you are, why do you think so? I'd make my self a 10 when it comes to situations which require maturity. When casting a ballot, fighting a war, or doing anything that requires seriousness, I am the kind of person who will treat those situations with the amount of maturity to get the job done. However, I do enjoy having a good time and enjoying myself whenever I play this game.
Do you have any military experience? Real life and/or Minecraft simulation. (Cadets count): I was the Legate in TRE and have been in multiple other military clans.
How many hours do you play per week? Usually 1-2 a day minimum but there will be some days that I will not be able to get on at all every once and a while.
When are you usually on? Earliest to latest in military time (or normal time with AM’s and PM’s), if it varies give a rough estimate. Around 6-10 PM on week days and then any time during the weekends.
Why should you be accepted into the ERMC? The experience I will be bringing and the enthusiasm, after having found a rare gem of a serious clan, I will be showing will not only help the ERMC reach its full potential, but develop its military so that it will become very efficient and effective.

Information about yourself: I'm a 17 year old guy who has been playing MC for around two years now. Since my wrestling season is about to be over and with that a lot of free time, I have decided to find a good, mature server and put a lot of effort and work into it. Craftburg seemed to stick out to me, and upon joining I really became hooked (the architecture is amazing!) I was notified that Madelaine is in need of a mayor, and I am hoping that I am able to receive this position, as I come from another server with around seven friends who are also thinking of joining the server. I myself am a relatively chill guy, and although I can be mature when needed, I enjoy joking around and having a good time.
Past experience: I've hosted multiple servers and networks, have been on staff for multiple servers, and have led many, many clans in my entire MC experience, and I hope to add Craftburg to my long list of good times and memories!
Hm, so it may just be that people while playing this game tend to be more and feel more independent, even though in real life we are all apart of these large groups of people.
Hello all, I've come here with a question that can hopefully spur some discussion. Why is it that players never group together in large number? Servers may be the closest thing we have to a large grouping of players, but even then on most servers people are either independent or in small groups of people. In all my time playing this game, I've never come across any large groupings of players that are organized, like a town or anything of the sort. I wonder what it is that limits us players from forming anything colossal and why we just tend to play with a few other players.
