    I'm well aware :smile.gif:
Thus why I encourage people to post. So far this is going very well.

This is OT but I think it's hilarious how the danasoft signatures are always wrong.
They either always display the ip of my gateway or something totally off...not sure what the gateway's ip actually is.

    Quote from 12345blitzkrieg

Apple is aimed at kids basically. Apple doesn't even control the phone market they only own 10 percent while android is catching on nearly at 13 percent. Blackberry owns the most apparently. I hope windows 8 on the phones kills the Iphone.

I hope Windows 8 kills the iphone, and then that Android kills everything and dominates the phone market with an Open Source platform.

    Voting for other:

I use Kubuntu, as I'm unsure of how specific you wish to be I'm applying this under "unsure."
I will delete and alter my vote to Ubuntu/Mint upon request.

Edit: On a side not, you mentioned that you want to provide better video support. I would definitely recommend that you do videos with at least one type of GNOME desktop Linux distro and one type of KDE desktop distro, I know that when I was a total Linux noob a little under a year ago I had no end of hell trying to understand/find the right information on how to actually launch Minecraft. Part of this problem stemmed from KDE's lack of auto-recognizing things like being able to launch a program with java unless the distro configures this for you; the rest of my problem was of course user ignorance  .

posted a message on HUGE 1.9 Pre2 Bug!
    Quote from VresiBerba

Hardly. I'm having the same problem; 1.9 (pre 1 and 2) keeps crashing to desktop when creating a new world and sometimes during game-play on an old world as well. Neither happens with 1.8.1 though.

If it works for a ton of other people there are two possibilities

    1-you're doing it wrong
2-the game doesn't like your hardware+software configuration for whatever reason

In the case of option #2 unless you're a Mac user with an older version of OS X and an integrated chip that doesn't have OpenGL 1.3 or higher graphics driver support then we have to know your hardware, version of Windows (not just XP/7 but the full name, i.e. Win7 home premium), 32x/64x and whether you have the correct (32x/64x) java for your computer.

I stand by the belief that user error is far more probable in this situation.

You're installing the game wrong if it isn't working. That or your graphics card is an integrated chip from pre 2000.

posted a message on 1.8.1 Very Annoying Bug
I know that in 1.8.1 when I launch minecraft from the command line using a furnace/crafting bench/etc. will frequently result in an error message along the lines of "attempted to place a tile entity where this is no tile!"

I imagine whatever causes that is related to this bug, and the one that was causing furnace crashes in the pre-release.

Photoshop is better than the GIMP and paint.net. However, the other two choices are free whereas Photoshop is a professional design suite with a professional price tag.

posted a message on Ubuntu Unity vs. Windows 8
    Quote from Ratnix

Seeing as I am still on an XP computer and plan on building one in the future, how long depends on financial issues, I will have to buy a new OS.

That will either be Win 7 or possibly Win 8.

I can't stay on XP forever, even though I would rather, I need the new DirectX for games.

XP would be my choice if I had to use Windows for anything...it's the most stable, least confusing, and my school system still uses it so I'm more used to it relative to other versions.
