most of the coordinates are for the version generated by TU12. Map features have changed since then so anything freshly generated now will have a different output.

    Quote from XxthakultkingxX

I am having a really bad problem with my enchantment table. the max amount of levels i can put on an item is lvl 8. I have about 14 bookshelves around it only one block away. it sucks, but makes a new challenge to make a high level weapon one book at a time. no issues with my anvil, other than it seems to cost more in material and xp than it does to make a new item. 4 iron ingots to repair an extremely damaged axe. xp cost seems fair. renaming is fair. its still cool though ty 4j for the update ill try to pst any more unknowns.

Make sure you have nothing but empty space between the books and the table. Nothing. This includes torches AND carpets.

posted a message on Are there dungeon finder websites?
It's true that if you do any sort of exploring you will stumble across dungeons eventually. But a dungeon finder has many useful purposes that are much harder to do if you are just searching randomly.

    1) locate dungeons that are totally enclosed. You can be within a few blocks of a spawner and never know its there, especially if you are quickly going by and mobs don't spawn soon enough for you to hear them.
    2) find dungeons by type. When you are randomly exploring you never know what you are going to get
    3) find dungeons by loot. Some people are looking for specific stuff they can find in chests.
    4) find dungeons by proximity to location or each other. Real useful for building mob farms near your base or spawners close together that can be exploited to make even bigger mob farms, etc.

Unless 4j starts moving a bunch of stuff forward much faster then they usually do, we aren't likely to see horses for a long time. I'm thinking TU20-24

posted a message on Minercraft coming next gen console's rumors and things you need to know
You almost got it right. The recording feature will be in the xboxone console itself, not in the cable box. You're probably getting it confused with some of the tv control features the new console will have. Basically the new kinetic can serve as an infrared remote control and flood your room with the same ir-signals that a remote control would use. With a little setup your console should be able to pretend it is a universal remote and control your tv and cable box.

PS4 is also supposed to have the game recording ability and both console are supposed to launch with Twitch integration. Don't remember seeing anything confirming that YouTube posting will be available at launch, but system updates will probably come out in the first few months to add it if it isn't.

posted a message on Minecraft is unique. Let's try to keep it that way eh Jeb?
What if horses had a unique drop that could open the door to whole new possibilities? Would they then be 'okay'? If I recall correctly, horses in real life are a major sores of fibers for certain kinds of rope. So what if minecraft horses dropped cords that can be crafted into rope which then can be crafted into such things as rope bridges, rope ladders, grappling hooks maybe, and whips--which I think would be a nice medium range weapon addition with more range than a sword but not as much as a bow. Also, hog ties--use them to tie up a pig, pick them up, and move them more easily then with wheat/carrots.
