Welcome to Oubliette, a Minecraft PvP minigame by CosmosSurfer.

Your goal is to find the three stones hidden within the Oubliette: the diamond, emerald, and prismarine shard. Take them to the center, and the trapdoor will open for you. However, there are zombies wandering within the Oubliette, and other players will try to stop you from succeeding. When you carry a stone, your location will be revealed. Be quick, resourceful, careful, and strategic. Good luck.

Unlikely. This require a lot of time and I don't find this really fun. If you have any question about map making, I can give you an answer.

Could you explain how you made it so that the player cannot drop items?

This map is incredible. I found a problem in one room, however, if you wanted to hear.

It's the room with the one redstone block on top of the central pillar. I discovered that you can place redstone blocks on the top of the preexisting redstone block on top of the pillar, and when you've done that, you cannot retrieve those blocks. An easy fix for this would be putting a barrier block on top of the redstone block on top of the pillar.

Do you think in the future you may upload tutorials on how certain mechanics or rooms in the map work? That would be much appreciated.

Here's a relatively simple Capture the Flag map. It's pretty self-explanatory, but if you have any questions or suggestions, ask me in the comments.

Make sure to enable command blocks on your sever if you are the host, if you haven't already. To do this, go to server.properties and insert enable-command-block=true in a new line.

I've been attempting to figure out what the /stats command in the 1.8 snapshots does, without any luck. Does anyone know what this command is used for?

It does seem weird to have the button outside the room.

I just removed the button and placed a new invisible button (like in the blue room) in another location. Same with the green room, to keep it consistent. Thanks for your input!

I saw it at the beginning. I'm still not sure what it did!

Hm, I think I'm going to hide it better. If you hadn't clicked the button, the corridor leading to the exit would have not been there.

This is amazing! I love how you kept teasing the exits. I thought the button puzzle in the blue room was very clever!

Thank you very much! I'm still tweaking things, so I could use a little input if you don't mind. Did you think it was hard to find the button on the ceiling before the red room?

If you could fix the download or maybe tell me where to go to start that would be nice because i really would like to try this out!

I was just flying around the map trying to find the start and it randomly said "You won!" and I laughed so hard. I was like "I didn't even do anything!" XD

kyledude252, did you ever play the map after I fixed it? If so, what did you think?

Have you played The Code III: The End by Jespertheend? It is, in my opinion, the best non-euclidean map. Unfortunately it's for 1.7, so there's no smooth teleportation, but it's amazing even without smooth teleportations. Here's a link:

    Fixed it.

Oh, and if that doesn't work for some reason, the coordinates of the spawn are 0 72 -2 I believe. Or 0 64 0 to go straight to the main room.

also what command did you use to see when the button is pressed? I'm also an amateur mapmaker and I was wondering how did you have a button connected to nothing run a command!?!?!

Oh, I absolutely love having a command connected to a button that isn't visibly attached to a command block. What I did was this:

First, place a command block near where the player will be when the player pushes the button. Then use it to summon a spawner that has a range large enough so that it activates when the player is far enough away from the button to push it. For example, I used this command for the button in the red room:
    /setblock ~ ~-1 ~ minecraft:mob_spawner 0 replace {EntityId:XPOrb,SpawnCount:1,SpawnRange:1,MinSpawnDelay:1,MaxSpawnDelay:1,MaxNearbyEntities:32000,RequiredPlayerRange:5,SpawnData:{Pos:[1.5,102.0,21.5],Age:5999}}

Then, put a pressure plate connected to a clock at the coordinates you specify in the command (they would be 1,102,21 in the example). This way, the clock runs if and only if you are in range of the spawner. Hook up a command block to the clock that is triggered by the spawner with a testforblock command to test for a pushed button that is the correct kind (wooden or stone) in the correct position and orientation. In the red room I used this command:
    /testforblock 10 68 31 wooden_button 12

Then take a comparator output from the testforblock command block and have it run your command.

I love this kind of minecraft "magic trick." It makes for a very clean display. Even better, I would argue, would be the "invisible" button I had at that one part in the blue room.

I fixed the inaccurate teleportation in the blue room, by the way. Thanks for pointing it out.
