The main purpose of LAN is for people on the same network. I do know about the vpn thing. If you are looking for a much easier option, again, just use realms.

As long as you're using the lvl 30 enchantment, you should eventually get decent enchantments. It is luck based for the most part

I started playing around beta 1.7.3, but I really got into the game during 1.1 - 1.2.5 2012-13ish. I remember meeting so many great people on so many great servers especially in 1.2.5

Details: I've played minecraft for around 10 years now and want to join a server that has a friendly community. I honestly don't play as much as I used to back 5+ years ago but I'm looking for a reason to be more active. I can play for a couple hours a day.

It's very hard for the Alphas when the majority of the work that needed to be done was in plugins/coding, something we can't help with. Since we're a large chunk of the Staff team rendered pretty useless during the down time we started working on the build server, and like a lot of people said it was pretty unnecessary for it to be changed so much, but it was the only way for us at actually feel like we were contributing something. Since we finished building a while ago there's been absolutely nothing. The Staff has been sitting around uselessly because any changes we make to the build world would not have been saved after the files had already been sent to Hex. I realize that in saying this I'm pretty obviously trying to shift the blame off of myself/the Alphas, but that's because there was never anything for us to do to begin with other than give random ideas that normally went nowhere due to lack of communication. But of course the Staff is a team and we take the blame together, I'm sorry that the server hasn't gotten up like it was supposed to. After the files were sent to Hex I basically had the same amount of knowledge as you guys. We sat around for weeks waiting for the occasional update from Viper and you guys sat around waiting for us. If it were up to me I'd share much more about what's going on with you guys to get you out of the dark, but that's what Penguii did and now everyone makes fun of her and is angry at the server for false promises. So, what do you guys want? We give you an estimate and you get angry, we do nothing and you get angry.

We're working on it. Just give us time. Complaining about the server not opening gets you nowhere. I'm upset that the server isn't open too guys but that's just life.

I remember "pulling a penguii" coming into terms b/c of him/her begging for a guard spot back.

If I could down vote, I would do it now, staff trust rules, yeah... That's why you told us there are fights between the admins, right? Something isn't adding up, there is something you guys are hiding from us. I'd still like to play on the server if/when it opens, but in all honesty it will be tough to tolerate any of the staff after all the fallouts you guys have had with us, the basic players.

A while back SDA posted the template again. I cannot remember the page, but at least 10 pages ago. If you were active on the forums during then, there was a ****-storm of applications. As a result, I chose to wait so mine might gain some exposure Sorry for the confusion haha.
