    We've all been there, died at an unfortunate time and spilled our items all over the ground. The next 5 minutes are crucial, so why waste time getting dressed?
    My armour equipper will have you fully dressed, with a hotbar full of weapons, blocks and food, all in a matter of seconds.

    posted a message on Tilde notation issue?

    Relative notation (tildes) does not work in selectors, you will have to put the actual co-ordinates in. For example:
    /clear @p[26,63,0,1] minecraft:fish -1 1

    Note there are 4 arguments, for X,Y,Z and radius. You have to put in a radius otherwise it will search infinitely. Though if you're standing on the command block itself, you won't need the co-ordinates. The "@p" selector targets only the nearest player, which will be the player standing on the block.

    I've used a hipster design that will do what you want. Switch out the fences for dirt blocks, and you can have them hide away or pop up the dirt from under the floor. Slightly smaller footprint too

    posted a message on Always Active vs Impulse + Clock. Which causes more lag?

    Looks like you've taken some good measures there. Another good trick would be to use loot tables to prevent the creepers from dropping anything. XisumaVoid has a video describing how to make the EnderDragon drop an elytra (linked). Follow that through, but make two changes:
    Set the selector to type=Creeper,r=128 as you have with your kill command.

    In the .json file, change the number of rolls to zero.

    Now, whenever a creeper in that radius dies, it will use the loot table to choose drops, and drop nothing at all, as it can never roll for drops :)

    posted a message on Help Needed - Using potions as crafting ingredients

    Hi 'crafters,

    I have a 1.8 mod which uses potions as crafting ingredients. Previously this used damage values to determine which potion should be used. With the change to potions in 1.9, and NBT tag is used to identify potions. I've switched the ItemStack used to one which accepts NBTTagCompounds as arguments.

    However, the NBT tag I've set isn't used. Any potion can be used to create my item. Any ideas on how to force minecraft to only accept potions with the desired tag?

    NBTTagCompound speedpotion = new NBTTagCompound();
    speedpotion.setString("Potion", "minecraft:swiftness");

    //SpeedII Armor
    GameRegistry.addRecipe(new ItemStack(ModItems.speed_leather_helmet),
    "AAA",
    "ABA",
    "AAA",
    'A', new ItemStack(Items.POTIONITEM, 1, 0, speedpotion), 'B', new ItemStack(Items.LEATHER_HELMET, 1, OreDictionary.WILDCARD_VALUE));

    posted a message on Scoreboard - set to beginning?

    When you come to type your objective name, press the TAB button to auto-complete. Keep pressing it to scroll through the present scoreboards.
    Alternatively, use "/scoreboard objectives list" to find your list of available scoreboards. Note the case is important

    posted a message on How do I mob-proof an automatic piston door?

    Place trip-wires at 3-blocks tall?
    So you can jump to activate it, but mobs won't jump up to get in. Only thing this won't work for is endermen (which can teleport, making doors somewhat irrelevant) and wither skeletons. If you're living in an area with wither skeletons wandering around, you've got bigger problems than a door :P

    You could also use "add" instead of "set" to just add the desired amount.

    posted a message on Should I give up on Minecraft?

    Sounds like you've boxed yourself in in terms of imagination. It happens, people get stifled.
    I suggest rather than trying to create new things, use the game to take things in.

    Try downloading adventure maps and minigames.

    Watch Youtubers how do what you like, be it building / Redstone / PvP etc (we can help with examples).

    Take a break for a while. If you're frustrated then the beest thing can be take time off and cool down.

    If none of that sparks and interest for you, Minecraft might not be the game for you. Sit it in an archive somewhere and find something you enjoy. There's nothing wrong with not enjoying something :)

    posted a message on How to make mobs UNABLE to attack?

    Max, that's a good idea, though I think that'll only affect meelee mobs. Is there an explosion power tag for creepers that you know of?

    I shall have to look into how to ID arrows and potions shot/thrown by mobs to kill them

    Have you tried giving them the blindness status effect and seeing if that stops them from detecting players?

    posted a message on How can I stop a moving mob if it encounters it's enemy?

    I'm not entirely certain on what you're after, but it sounds like the NoAI tag is what you want. The command:

    /entitydata @e[selector] {NoAI:1}

    will turn off the AI of any mob targeted, making them just stand there motionless.

    posted a message on Scoreboard - set to beginning?

    You can do it manually. Get the death score of each player (either by the game save or ask players) and use

    /scoreboard players set Name Objective #

    Where:

    Name is the name of the player.

    Objective is the name of your scoreboard.

    # is the number of deaths.

    posted a message on Deleting WELL over 5000 scoreboard teams at once, is it possible?

    Before doing any of this, it is recommended to take a backup of your world and store it somewhere safe.

    You can access the information stored for the minecraft world using a program called NBTExplorer, found here:
    http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-tools/1262665-nbtexplorer-nbt-editor-for-windows-and-mac

    Once downloaded, open the program. Press the "Open Folder" button in the top left corner, and point it at the save folder for your Minecraft world. (By default it will be pointing at your local world saves folder). Once your world is visible, press the "+" button next to the save to expand it. Go to:
    Your world name - Data - Scoreboard.dat - Data.

    Select the "Data" folder and click the red cross in the toolbar to delete the folder. This will remove all scoreboards, player scores and display slots for that world. If you want you can delete individual scoreboards by expanding further and deleting the desired scoreboards in the "Objectives" and "PlayerScores" folder.

    Click the "Save" button, and you can re-open your world in Minecraft, free of scoreboards.
    Feel free to reply if anything's unclear,
