Farm mushrooms like so-
-place 5 in a cave
-stand outside the cave for 5 minutes
-harvest the endless bounty
But does it work in the nether?
edit: it works in the nether yay! :biggrin.gif:

I'm sorry but I have to say it... It's how to, not how two. Two = 2.
Yeah I know I just felt like typing it like that ^^

I don't believe the stone texture is allowed to use transparency, so a texture pack making this happen would be impossible. If you're just looking to save on farming sand, forget it. Your best bet is to use an x-ray mod if you want to see through stone, something like this:
Someone correct me if I'm wrong on the transparency thing.
Texture packs with see thought stone is allowed....just like any other texture pack. If someone wants to see thought stone in there own world fine.....people online may not like it but nothing you can do :/
Jun 13, 2011This thread is about everything MUSHROOMS!Posted in: Survival Mode
Okay, since Mushrooms slowly spread in dark areas this has got me thinking... Are there any blocks mushrooms can or cant grow on? Also how long does it take brown or red mushrooms to grow in the dark?
Also in what level of light? If mushrooms have a light of 1 a lot growing will light up a room....will that stop the growing of other mushrooms?
Also if someone where to grow mushrooms in a dark area there is a chance a creeper or spider or something might spawn inside the growing area.....to all who worry about this I had an idea.
Make a mushroom growing room in the NETHER!
No creepers or any bad things that spawn in the dark besides zombie pigmen who are harmless if you dont bother them and since the room would be sorta small ghasts cant bother you ._. Thats what I did anyway :S ....but does that work?
What have you done? what have you learned? Share your tips and methods or just ask questions yourself :happy.gif:

Is there any way to 'delete' the dirt part of the texture pack? Because the sides of the dirt occasionally look like obsidian, and it annoys me. Any help? :cool.gif:
thats because there is new side grass where the removed crying obsidian is :/
