Reason for joining: I've been looking for a good Tekkit RP server for a good while, and this looks like it could be it.

Character Name: Asterius
Age: 20
Character description: Brown hair, blue eyes, average height and build. Has various scars on his hands due to some poor choices made during his youth as well as from tinkering with machines. Tends to come across as a tad eccentric, but is otherwise quite good company, as he is humorous and enjoys a bit of fun here and there. Beneath the joyful exterior, however, lies an intelligent mind, able to cut to the core of a problem in mere moments and solve it in even less. He always carries a book on his person, though no one but him really knows what it is. He collects interesting knick-knacks as well, his favorite being bookmarks.
Biography: Asterius grew up in a well-off family, getting an excellent education. He had 2 brothers and 1 sister, along with the requisite mother and father, and lived in happiness for a good part of his youth. He showed a talent for figuring out how things work, and absorbed the lessons of his tutors like a sponge. When he was 15, his city was struck by a plague dubbed "the Medusa plague" by the locals, as it turned those afflicted by it into stone. There was no known cure for this, and before long the entire city had fallen victim to it. All except Asterius, as he was off in the mines collecting materials with which to build machines with. Upon returning, he found the sole survivor (aside from himself, of course), his brother, in the final throes of the disease. He told Asterius about the plague, and that he needed to flee before he too was petrified before turning to stone himself. Asterius fled for many miles until he found another city, one in which he hoped to start a new life in. He has hopes that he may eventually find a cure for his petrified city, and free them from their imprisonment, however.

Backstory/Biography: Griffin never knew anyone. At the age of 2 his parents were killed he was the last of his family. He was taken in but he has no idea who for at the age of 13 he was exploring a jungle and fell he has suffered from Amnesia ever since. All he can rembber is his skills at magic and engineering

Having been on this server for a while, I'd like to leave a review.
This server is great, the community is great, the environment is great, and all in all I have a blast on this server. Pretty much the only thing I can complain about is the ridiculous amounts of time the server is down. I'm not sure what time zone you readers are in, but I woke up in the morning, checked the server status about noon or so, and periodically checked it every now and again and it wasn't up (for an extended period, at least) until after I had dinner, and I'm wanting to say it was around 7 or 8 when I checked and it was up, but I can't swear to that.
Final Verdict: Great server, truly great, and I hope that it continues to grow.
Also, make sure to look to Asterius' Slightly Used Goods Emporium for all of your slightly used goods needs (AKA my shop)!

Tekkit experience (Not required, but we wont teach you IG): I'm pretty good with Tekkit, though with some of the mods (like redpower) I'm not that experienced with it, but I'm pretty good with the machines and such.
Are you mature? (Scale of 1-10): 6.9 (just kidding, it kind of depends on what the situation warrants, as if the atmosphere at the time calls for maturity, 10, if it's crazy and everyone's just partying or something, 6 or 7, but I'm not going to like run around throwing eggs at people or anything.)

Define Meta-Gaming and Power-Gaming in your own words: Metagaming is basically just not doing the RP stuff, like referring to someone by their OOC name, or knowing things that if you were your character you couldn't possibly know, such as that Bob is fighting creepers deep in the bowels of the mines while you're tending a field. Powergaming would be where you get a bunch of energy drinks, don't sleep for 40 straight hours, and just focus on leveling up your character until, for example, someone tries to hit you and disintegrates on contact. Beneath his somewhat cavalier persona lies a wise soul that can offer good advice, or basically psychoanalyze someone and/or be a psychiatrist to them, and help them realize things that had been the cause of an inner turmoil that they had the answer to all along.

On the eve of his 20th birthday, the great Ender Dragon beset his village, burninating everyone's thatched roof cottages, and everyone other than Asterius perished, as Asterius was off collecting materials for machine building. When he returned, he rushed home to find that A: his house was burned down, B: his family was dead, and C: ... okay, actually there is no C, that pretty much covers all the bases. He swore revenge on the dragon that had taken everything from him (he knows it was the dragon because of two reasons. One, he saw it flying away from the village, and two, the dragon left a crudely made sign saying "LOL ENDR DRGN WS HRE" in body parts). He gathers the few materials that survived the blazing inferno, and sets out to the east, where he saw the dragon go.

Understood. Here's one of my youtube videos, a 2-player coop video I did once with a guy that we never continued because we mysteriously never talked again for some reason. It cuts off about halfway through our session because I was going to split it into two parts, but after noticing the lack of talking to him again, failed to see the point in getting part two up there. I think it's still on the computer somewhere though, so if you want I can get part 2 up there.
