posted a message on Algae[80% Support!]
So, I was watching some pics of a underwater shelter today, and I noticed for the first time that in Minecraft there is a real lack of underwater plants and algae. Later when playing Far Cry 3 I also noticed many plants in some places, so I suggest that underwater, there is a grass-like block that grows on dirt. It has a fern-ish physical appearance(but algae, obviously) in that it is 3D, but it spreads very much like dirt in the dry lands. These Algae could be harvested and maybe used for foods and other crafting recipes.

A sub-type of this would be kelp: It doesn't spread horizontally. Instead, it grows upward, not unlike sugar cane on land. I can't really think of any uses for this one, so it would be mainly decorative. Kelp usually spawns alone or in small patches with 2~5 kelps side by side in the ocean bottom, but more rarely there are kelp forests, with massive amounts of kelp, sometimes over 25 individual kelps per forest.

We could even make two separate underwater biomes: Near the shores, where algae grow and maybe there are even coral blocks, and there is a lot of fish, and the deep ocean, with no algae and little fish.

It would serve as a renewable source to mossy cobblestone: Place one cobblestone near a underwater algae, and it will spread to the cobblestone, turning it into mossy cobblestone. An alternative way to make this would be just a crafting recipe: One cobblestone and one algae in any position = 1 mossy cobblestone. They would also be used to tint glass: Green or other colours, if multiple types of algae are ever implemented. Still haven't decided if it should be crafted(making the tint change permanent) or if the tint would be applied when the algae spreads over the glass(making it possible to remove without losing the glass), but in my opinion the first option is preferable.

One possible crafting recipe would be a bandage, that increases health regeneration by a small period of time. It would be made with one sheet of paper in the center, one rose and one algae in each side, and produces one or maybe two bandeges. An alternative to the bandage would be healing salve(which, IMO is better). It has the same effects as the bandage, but a different crafting recipe: It would be made with a gold nugget(or ingor), one algae and a wooden bowl. Alternate recipes would include a red moosh besides the rest, or just a bowl surrounded by 8 algae.

Another use to algae would be as fertilizer, but acting in a different way to the Bone Meal. Instead of being applied in the plant while growing, it would be applied directly in the farmland, and it would make the next harvest of crops more productive.

posted a message on Sorry Atheists, Pope's Mistaken, You ARE Going to Hell
So what? That's like a hippie coming to me and saying "I'm going to kick you right in your aura!". I don't really care because I quite frankly do not believe it exists and it is not going to make any difference in my life. They are just trying to get attention.
Btw, I think this Pope Francisco seems a nice guy actually. Better than the last couple ones, at least.

    Support.
Although I think it would be better if it was sold by villagers too.

    Quote from NukeDuck

Not bad ideas, but you can't craft with more than 9 items, one per slot. You can't craft with multiple items in one slot and use them up in one. Sorry.

A solution to this would be to make the ship in "modules" e.g the hull, seats and the sail and combining them into a single ship. But this would mainly take up space in the IDs.

posted a message on I understand horse armour and name tags are supposed to be hard to acquire but...
This is a great idea, but I think that each village should have maybe a "limited stock" of them, e.g the Blacksmith can make 10 iron horse armours, then he can't make anymore armour of that type unless you bring him the resources. This would prevent people abusing it to get infinite armour.
