I believe feather is a continuity thing; it would not make sense to suddenly implement scientific accuracy into the movies. Also, I doubt they have an enormous interest in doing so at all...

There were barely any animatronics in Jurassic World. With exception of the Apatosaurus scene, every Dinosaur was CGI. I even recall some stating that other animatronics were made, but not used... And some said that one or two WERE used, but they added CGI over them. If Jurassic World was like that, that decision is not really a surprise to me.

This news, though, comes from an interview that happened before the movie managed to gross more than a billion dollars. Things could change, but I think it's more about their choice of doing so rather than a lack of budget.

Well that's disappointing. However, I care more about the story than how they make their dinosaurs.

(Also, no animatronics doesn't necessarily mean CGI, does it? Maybe they'll use chickens in costumes! Or maybe they plan to recreate prehistoric creatures by then)

((Now... To introduce the good guys...))

Three people seemed to appear out of a flash of light from nowhere. One, a strange demonic cat man kid. One, a blue female. And the last a mysterious man in a suit.

The man in the suit looked around and sighed. He looked at the girl. "Belle. This isn't Maple Falls. It isn't close, but it is closer than it has been."

The cat boy chuckled. "At least it is better than 1863 Gettysburg." He spotted a road and began to walk towards it.

The man was now a little mad. "I happen to like the Civil War. And you had your fun with that battalion you slau-"

Belle, the girl, fell to her knees and began to cry. The man walked over to her. "Stop crying. There is no need to. We are at least in the same timeline and time period. We can get a car from here. Pheelyks. Look for a-"

Pheelyks, the cat boy, was all of a sudden hit by the car Alex was driving.

    Belle, the girl:

    Pheelyks The Feline:

    Lupin Feed, the man:

"Curses," Alex exclaimed angrily. What was that? A deer? An owl? He was sure he had sent a message to get out of the way. Stupid creature. Or maybe it was some kid with their hair all weird. Why not, he might as well check it out. Hitting the brakes hard, Alex found himself flung against the wheel. Stupid old cars. Alex pushed himself off of the wheel, turned to the door, and with his hand on the handle, kicked it open using far too much force. The door slammed against its hinges, rebounding a bit and hitting Alex in the hip as he exited the car. He hit the door again with his knee, this time forcing it to stay open, only to slam it closed again as he turned towards the rear of his car.

"What on earth..." Alex remarked, his sentence disappearing as his mind tried to give a definition to the creature that was sitting on the road. It looked like it had come straight out of Tartarus... That's got to be a costume, Alex reasoned, Some kind of dumb prank. But it looked so real. Then Alex saw the man in the suit and the strange, small girl with the blue hair.

"Hey, woh, I didn't mean to do anything. That thing jumped in front of my car," Alex argued, a strong, serious edge to his voice. He glanced between the two humans and whatever the other thing was as he talked. The man in the suit could be a police officer, but he seemed to be comforting the girl... Oh god... what if the girl had been the strange demon's friend? Hold on, where am I getting these thoughts? Alex realized his brain was working overtime. He was nervous. I should just get back in the car. This whole Maple Falls thing was a bad idea...

Jahira started to shiver more and more as fear started to take over. Buck's head shifted slowly. His ears perked up, and his eyes widened, allowing in more light, if there was even any. His head seemed to be following something. Jahira could feel his movement, and as he moved, her mind instinctivly started racing. She started to think. How could I not have seen this before? Large eyes and ears, for sensing in the dark. I even found Buck awake, in the dark. She was quickly forming a plan. I hope this works. Jahira lept onto Buck. *whispers*"I'm sorry..." She hits the rusa, sending him forward, like a horse with night vision. Please work please work please work please work please work...

The Rusa rushed forward with a grunt, forcing Jahira to fall forward onto the Rusa, her head now bouncing against Buck's warm, welcoming fur with each pounding step that the animal took. Out of the darkness, something snarled, and pounced forward. Jahira could feel sharp claws scratch her arm, and then they were gone, as Buck galloped her to safety. Something pounded into the floor behind her, and ahead of her, she could feel the jungle, getting closer, and closer, and closer... And then the sound of Buck's foot fall changed. The hard, consistent beat of hooves smacking against stone was gone, replaced by the softer emanation caused by dirt, and grass, and mud. The jungle was back.

"Where ya goin'?" asked the taxi driver as Alex slammed himself frustratedly onto the back seat.

"Maple Falls," Alex grumbled, rustling through his pocket.

"I'll take you to the airport," the driver said, starting up the car.

"No way. No planes. Just take me to Maple Falls," Alex insisted, wishing he could manipulate this guy like he could manipulate an ant. Speaking of insects, there was a wasp on the window. A devious plan forming, Alex began to roll down his window.

"Kid, this is Seattle. Maple Falls is in California," the driver argued.

"How do you know?" Alex protested, spotting the wasp's nest hanging off a ledge of one of the buildings.

"Kid, I know geography. I'll take you to the airport," the driver insisted, but just as he began to pull away from the curb, a horde of wasps swarmed through Alex's window, surrounding the taxi driver. Alex laughed as the driver reacted in fright, pushing himself against his seat. "What is this? What are you doin'? Stop this!" the man screamed, panicking. Alex leaned in, the wasps keeping a distance of an inch or so from his head.

"I guess it must be a sign," Alex said in as calm a voice as he possibly could. All he really wanted to do was laugh, laugh at this petty little man and his predicament. The man struggled against his door handle, yelping in pain when a wasp stung him. Finally, he got the door to spring open, and he jumped out, running frantically away from the cab. While Alex laughed at first, the irony of the situation began to sink in. Now he had a cab and no driver, so no idea where to find Maple Falls.

Cursing his impulsiveness, Alex climbed over into the front seat. As if in an act of god, he noticed that the driver had left his phone in the car. Alex smiled and grabbed the phone, turning it on to see there was no security system. He mumbled an insult and went straight to an app that allowed him a GPS. He typed in "Maple Falls", correcting two errors after the fact, and then hit enter. While waiting for the results to appear, he slammed the door shut and put his foot on the gas. He had stolen a car before, but had no official experience driving; he hadn't ever found the need for a driver's license. He didn't regret it, but those who saw the taxi speeding and swerving through traffic certainly did. Luckily, he was already on the outskirts of town and hadn't been forced to drive far through the busy city streets.

When he had checked back to the phone, he noticed just how far away Maple Falls was. A remote town outside Los Angeles, it had next to no tourist attraction. Could've chosen somewhere closer, Alex shot the thought out towards the heavens and whoever had sent him the invitation. Almost like you don't want me to come.

I'd be happy to know them, as I'm curious; that is, of course, if you're willing to share them.

Of course! (Also congratulations on 500 Posts).

    • Suchomimus lived in an environment with creatures who also overlapped with the creatures that lived in Spinosaurus' environment, and when I make big ecosystem enclosures, I don't really need them both in the enclosure. Meanwhile Baryonyx lived in a place with essentially no other spinosaurids.
    • Baryonyx was one of the first dinosaurs I learned the name of, so that's a more selfish reason.
    • Baryonyx was one of the first dinosaurs added to Paleocraft, which makes it historically significant.
    • This one kind of relates to the first one, but it just seems better to have dinosaurs spread out to represent all of the world.

Baryonyx over Suchomimus, I think, for a menagerie of reasons.

"That was fine fighting sir, I have not seen its equal," Kartha remarked. Leif turned momentarily as they stepped through the exits, nodding and replying to his subordinate.

"Yours was equally impressive, soldier," he said, using the same tone she had. He gave his compliment with full sincerity; he regretted that he had been forced to spill blood, unlike Kartha, but it was only the blood of a savage. General Arant would certainly liken their blood to that of a bear. Then again, one could eat a bear, and one would not eat a human, lest one was a Wild Man. But the Shcots were nearly Wild Men themselves... For a moment, Leif was worried that this small girl might attempt to eat his flesh off, but the sensation quickly subsided. Meanwhile, he sensed a mutual respect developing. between himself and Kartha.

He then stepped outside, where he had been expecting some darkness, but was surprised to see the sun was not quite beneath the horizon yet. At least, he guessed it was not below the horizon. He could not quite be sure, because the Phoenix was creating a grand shadow over him, emanating from a silhouette which blocked the sun. It was not quite a solar eclipse, but for Leif, it was just as unlucky.

((One does not quote one's own posts. Unless said one is very lonely. Or if said one has now met another one and become two and therefore, technically, is no longer quoting one's own posts but rather one's former self's posts, just as when one eats a fish, one is not eating a distant relative but a distant relative of a distant ancestor. Except one is eating a distant relative. Maybe we should stop talking about one?))

Laire burst forward, the Phoenix being such a remarkable creature, and her inhibitions being as diminished as they were. She was near to touching the bird when common sense kicked back in and, remarkably, she remembered that this bird could sprout fire. She took a step back and admired the beast for a moment longer. Then, Laire decided there was no point in living if she couldn't pet giant pyromaniacal birds.

When her right hand touched the bird, she felt so many things course through her, feeling of happiness and warmth. Perhaps no exactly feelings, these were more akin to senses. A rewarding primordial instinct. She felt as though everything was clear, and she realized just how bad an idea it had been to enter the bar. Of course her father was right. But then, as quickly as the thoughts had arrived, they were replaced with happy emotions. Of course father will understand, he won't be mad, she thought, smiling. But she did not smile on the outside. Here, in this place of her brain with happy emotions, she was completely cut off from her outside body. She could feel her hand brushing against those soft, warm feathers of the Phoenix, but she could not feel as she fainted, her body tumbling to the ground.

Leif watched as the girl collapsed, cursing himself for not reacting sooner when the girl had moved towards the Phoenix. This useless beast had done nothing but interfere with his mission. If ever there were an excuse which would not land him on the General's good side, this was it. "Oh, sorry, but the most rare and legendary of mythical creatures, which you may or may not believe exists, happened to confront me at every turn and stop my mission from succeeding. I would say it won't happen again, but with my luck, it probably will". Indeed, t'was not a good excuse. Luckily, Leif had no plans to finish this mission with an excuse.

"Kartha, you're going to get the girl to safety. I plan to annoy this monster until then," Leif said, realizing that some of his inebriation may still be seeping through, despite his mental will against it. He then remembered why the girl was so important, and added, "That's the Cheif's daughter, by the way."

Leif removed his sword, stabbed it into the air beside him, and reflected the blinding light of the sun into the Phoenix's eyes. If the legend was true, this would, theoretically, have no effect. If it weren't, then Leif would finally have found a way to hurt this creature. He had to admire its abilities, though. A creature as strong as the Phoenix in the hands of the Garlants would be ideal.

Jahira paid no heed to the fluttering creature. It did not seem to want to do her any harm. What was more troubling to her was the shadow blocking the glint of light. Jahira held her breath, and kept Buck close. Hopefully they were hidden by the darkness of the cavern. She kept still as the creature fluttered around her. She though that, if they kept perfectly still, the shadow may leave, thinking that just another gust of wind could've disturbed the fluttering animal. For now, she kept still and held buck closer, trying to keep the shadow from noticing and coming nearer...

A low, rumbling sound emanated through the cave. Slowly, the shadow disappeared, but the glint did not return. Whatever had given the rock its shine was now gone. Something else was there, hidden in the darkness. The sound from before resonated again. It was a low humming, that crescendoed and then descended again. But it was a frightening hum.

The wind of the storm picks up. In some unobstructed areas, the winds are strong enough to knock over trees...

Nigel's tipi is still intact as the storm goes on. Not much has changed in the area he is in. The surrounding forest keeps the winds from blowing too hard, but in the clearing ahead, the force is deadly. Nigel starts to feel more worried as he hears a dangerous sound. A large screeching sound, the splintering of wood. The sound is louder than the surrounding storm. Then, a thundering boom as the tree hits the ground. The sound echoes around the area...

The storm starts to die down, but don't be fooled. The eye of the storm is very misleading...

Meanwhile, far to the north, the approaching storm in the south began to worry some of Set's soldiers. Their fear brewing, they contacted Pollux, their trusted scientific superior. Upon observing the storm, and hearing from one or two scouts, he deemed the storm insignificant. Set's army could hold against anything, he reasoned. Secretly, he was too consumed dreaming of the torture that would be administered to that felon, Loki, when Set learned of his deceit.

Kyro was suddenly caught in a large gust of wind, which sent him flying off course. He struggled against this demonic force, screeching in protest as he was slammed into a tree, his wing membrane ruined. Suddenly, the wind grabbed him again, throwing him up above the trees. He had never felt something so powerful. And yet the wind seemed to be triggering a positive feeling in him. Something told him the wind was not all bad. It was helping him, in some omniscient, unknown way. This wind was bigger than him and his wing membrane, it was bigger than his life. It was bigger than the forest. It was the island, and the island was sending a message.

Odin felt the storm hit before it actually did. He was travelling with Jak and his friends, moving slowly but surely towards the cave where his children were. He felt as though they were in danger, and none of his reasoning could change this. Hapy had been quick to grant him leave. What gave away the storm was the way the trees on one side of him began to brush against him more firmly. He leaned his head below the upper branches of the trees to conserve some body heat, and saw the others walking solemnly. Something seemed to say that today was going to be a good day. He looked up again, and saw that he had nearly reached the mountains. Perhaps that was it.

Certainly, it was not the Lythronax that was following him, with a pack of her minions in tow.

Set had a bad feeling about something. Obviously it was nothing, but still, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was not going as planned.
