posted a message on Anyone want to share their survival stories that went up in smoke?

@Miracledinner Dang man that sucks. I also expanded the land greatly as well shoveling down hills and uneven terrain in minecraft to look a lil more realistic not to mention make the village less death proof from high heights as well as expanding my land to build the giant farm. Each crop would have a 5 by god knows how many rows of 5 but it was enough to get 2 stacks of 64 wheat and 3 stacks of 64 carrots and potatos and beetroot.

I'm a very prideful minecraft player I do not like dying under any circumstance. What would of prevented this death was simply Feather falling boots and obviously watch where I'm going better, But I only wanted to use it with my diamond armor and all i had left was literally the boots. Otherwise I stuck with my iron armor which was anywhere between 25-10% durability left.

posted a message on Anyone want to share their survival stories that went up in smoke?

Hey guys! How we doing. I'm currently in the dumps atm just died on amazing progress. Almost to the point where I develop the strength of the insane if you know what I mean.

I figure I make a return to the forums after a while of not talking on here. I was hoping anyone on here could share their stories on how well some of you did up until the point you die in game.

Details preferably but yeah, hopefully I feel better after this. I wonder if anyone has a similar if not worst experience than me.

Spawned in a world. Found a village almost immediately, Built a house, Create a strip mine at layer 12. Built a large farm and got crazy rich off of minerals and resources. filled in the entire map and lived up to 90+ days. the very bane of this seed was that there was too many ravines. Ravines that were 30-40 layers deep obviously meaning death. I fell a one time and luck would have landed in a block of water. I felt my body tense up, then tingle, as I gave a big sign of relief.

As I left the village to go on a trade venture, I found a village, spent the night there, and went off to another village I knew that wasn't far off.

I was in a swamp The very place I least expected anything out of place and As Soon as I came ashore I fell into a ravine, I landed on a ledge Not thinking I was going all the way down half health, then jumped accidentally because obviously I was in full on panic mode and saw how much farther there was I was like DUDE.... *Dies*......... UNCOOL...... score 12k

Deleted it out of a slight rage but eh what else could I do. I treat normal worlds like Hardcore, Dead dead. Game over. I don't like looking at my stats saying you died once or twice. I like that number to be at 0.

Well Is that the worst you endured?

posted a message on Anyone have a good seed for console?

I haven't played console in forever, I noticed a giant batch of new achievements for me to get.

But I would like to know a good village seed, Where I can make a house, have a good farm, strip mine at layer 12, and in general just gather these new achievements.

Feel free to share a seed from a recent patch, or leave a link to a site with console seeds.

    Thx.

    Quote from SmugSmirk»

My ideal home is the massive underground hive structure I've been building off and on for a while.
In survival, I usually expand a villager's house and just build a massive basement underneath it. If I can't find a village, I usually carve an area out into the side of a mountain or hill or something.

Cool I do like the idea of building underground. You could farm xp with mobs down there if if wasn't well lit. I can see people carving out a mountain rather than a hill, unless the hill is over 12 blocks or more in height to make it like a bunker.

I'll sometimes take over a villager's house, though if a village isn't around, I like to build a house with 2 floors usually. The house I have right now is 3 floors; an upstairs where my bed and some valuable stuff I don't want thrown in a chest; the main floor, I don't have much on the main floor; and the basement where I keep my furnaces, chests, and enchantment table.
As for where I prefer to settle, I usually go for water-fronts. I like the view, and I can get some pretty cool items from fishing like enchanted books, name tags and saddles.

    Nice

posted a message on ideal house size and location?

Everyone's house is unique in their own way. But I want to build a house where I could be able to store every one item that is important.

For example I usually build a house with 2 floors and a basement. the main floor is where everything is kept, crafting bench, furnace, chests full of minerals, food, tools, weapons, fluids once I go to the nether, Etc etc. the foundation and basement are built usually on a 12x12 or 15x15 in width and at least 16 or so blocks high, just enough to where if you fall, you will have 3 full hearts left. a painful fall.

the 2nd floor is where I usually keep my bed, a jukebox and some additional chests for extra storage. if tall enough I can squeeze in a portal and an enchanting area.

The basement is like a primary storage area and leads to a mineshaft I built to strip mine at Y:12

When It comes to locations, Preferably I like to build my house in a village and be part of the village. Trade with the villagers and protect them.

I haven't built a home outside a village for a long long time, especially after how useful they can be..

Whats your ideal home? and where do you tend to settle.

posted a message on Does Mods effect your gameplay/advancements?

I have steam, and there are games where you can get achievements but achievements get disabled unless you have certain settings set or if certain types of mods enabled.

When it comes to Minecraft, does mods effect getting advancements or no?

    Thx

Getting mods on curse is like getting mods on steam right? once installed its on the game and it can be disabled at any given time? As you might see I'm quite green in this department

Use the lead. Trust me. It's better.

I've tried to get chickens. For some reason, in my world were no animal near me. They were like 0,5 km away. Back then, I had no leads. I didn't even knew where some swamp biomes are. Haven't seen slime. It took me about 1 whole game day. Half of that distance, I've spend in water, because it was night. NEVER again.

I did something similar with rabbits. Imported from desert, about 3,5 km far. Tied them up and drag them without stopping. Most of the journey was in the ocean, so I cannot even imagine how long it would took without lead.

My point is: use lead. Tie that animal and then drag it. Take 2, reproduce them in your base, keep reproducing them until you have several hundred of them, then start killing some.

I mass farm, I build a rather Small/medium size barn for the standards of a mass farmer, But you can cramp a ton of animals in a pen. Once FPS becomes an issue due to the amount of animals, Thats when I start taking some out xp farm as well. Especially chickens, Out of all animals Chickens take a tow on your fps after throwing so many eggs and feeding them seeds 10-20 baby chicks are born at a time.

I'm also in a village, so having a butcher is a major bonus especially if you got pigs and chickens.

I assume it's a script of some sort that runs on a timer, or in other words AI reacts to something than just runs out and lose interest, until a amount of time goes by.

It happens usually on long journeys back to the barn we create. It gets annoying after a while, but its never a problem if you built your house and barn in an area surrounded by animals.

    Anyone else relate to this?

Guess it's time for me to start using that lead that has been in the game for a while.

posted a message on Anyone know any good village seeds that don't have poor infrastructure?
    Quote from BigAlanM»

Spawn is about half way between the two desert villages which are about 200m apart.

Good location for a spawn chunks iron farm.
Two blacksmiths and two libraries when using 1.13.2.

    Quote from starflyr3»

yes. There are 2 villages like that in this one:

    -626375857

one of the villages is : -492, -1004

the other is visible from that one. And there are 2 sand temples right nearby plus 2 drowned villages and a ship.

Thx guys, I'll check the seeds you sent, I'll give you my opinion after evaluating the seeds.

posted a message on Anyone know any good village seeds that don't have poor infrastructure?

I don't normally go to the forums unless it was a last resort, I've checked The seed share sites that have some thorough details on spawn points, Coords of certain structures, etc etc. Now I know that Minecraft generates terrain at complete random, There's really nothing we could do about it, other than manually improve infrastructure with a Pickaxe and shovel. to flatten out the terrain to make it safer especially if there is terrain that is 4 or 5 blocks high to cause fall damage, or remove cactus in a desert village.

So what do I mean by infrastructure, the terrain, I prefer a more Flatter terrain, Low maintenance, Little to no risk of Villagers getting hurt or killed. Plus with Flat terrain, I make medium to large houses for me to live in. Some with a basement, ground floor and a 2nd floor, with an interior or exterior farm. Basement I usually have as a storage/entrance to a stripmine to Y12 for diamonds.

Anyone has good seeds? Just a seasoned/veteran gamer returning to the mines, or other corny lines I can think of.

    Thx folks!

posted a message on Anyone familiar with the navy?

I'm currently creating a fleet, named after me.

So far I have 1 submarine, 1 destroyer, 1 light cruiser, 1 heavy cruiser, 1 Battleship, 1 aircraft carrier which is in the works atm.

I feel like I should show what I've created so far. Only downside, due to the lack of resources in game, The priority wasn't a matter of artistic detail, but rather making the ships the way they are seen in being.

If anyone is interesting in seeing my fleet, I'll take some screenshots to share here.

    Thanks.

posted a message on Does playing another version effect your worlds on the current version?

Now that I have the launcher to go back to previous versions, I thought about what the fate of my current games be? would something go out of code or files go missing or something like that? I got a survival world, and a world of creating a naval fleet. don't want to lose that hard work if switching to another version would effect the games saved.

So what would happen if I were to switch back to versions like 1.5 or when I started at 1.2.5.

posted a message on Am I in the right place?

Well its been a while since I was on here.

See a whole lot of new stuff.

Anyways I came on here kinda as a last resort, because I'm looking for what many people might call a "rare" seed.

I'm looking for a seed I'd like to call well developed. I do understand the worlds are generated at complete random but It gets really old to see NPC villages spawned in very unstable form of infrastructure where villagers might fall and get hurt on a regular basis, Its bad enough that village AI has been pure panic especially at night endangering themselves to the zombies whether if they are running around outside or standing in the doorway making their "Hitbox" exposed thus they get hit by the zombies just by standing at the door.

Anytime I try a random seed, its basically a roll of the dice, good village, or bad.

I have taken advice from some on here a while ago to simply cage the villagers in their homes with the use of fence, that way they don't endanger themselves. but mainly I want a village seed that has an NPC village with well developed infrastructure if not well developed at least one that will take little construction effort in making the village safe.

the Best seeds sites haven't really worked out in my interest. so if you have a seed you'd like to share, I'll gladly look into it.
