- RP scenario number 1: Has to be answered in RP, so you could not bring a "crafting bench" with you according to the scenario.
- RP scenario number 2: Please note that in all scenarios they have to be answered as if another player was interacting with you. That answer to this scenario shows the presence of Power Gaming, which is against the rules in Aetherial.
- RP scenario number 3: There was no warning, which would mean you would not have time to pull out your dagger and stab him directly in the rist.
- Skin: If you choose fire imp then you will need a skin that would resemble a fire imp.
Hello everyone, we are excited to release a major server update that is currently in ALPHA. We need help from the players to gives us feedback and improve the server so it can be enjoyable for everyone. The update details can be found in the spoiler down below. Talk to us live on the website (tomorrow all day) and stay informed on when we will be opening the update to the public.
I have completed the "Support" page on the website! If you find any plugin issues or unfriendly players, please report to the support page located on the website!
What is it about Aetherial that made you want to apply?: The idea of a new generation RPG server really interested me since all the ones I used to play on got boring since you didn't have the freedom of choice.
Do you agree to follow all of the rules of the server?: I agree to follow all server rules
Secret Code: w (it said the secret code is the first letter of your username, so does it have to be more than one letters or just one?)
Do you have any previous bans we should know about?: I have no previous bans that you should know about.
II. Questionaire Explain some of the rules of Aetherial (2 Minimum): • No greifing: That means, don't break blocks for no reason/get out of your way to break. If someone has an obsidian fort, you only need to break 2 to get in, not 10 from different spots. • No powergaming: Don't force people to take actions they don't want to. (Will - Hey let's check out this cave! ... Zach - No I don't want to go in there! . . . Will - *picks up Zach and walks into cave*)
Explain what you think Roleplaying is, to the best of your ability: Roleplaying is playing from a third person point of view in fantasy/reality situations. It gives you abilites to take different paths of your choice and live the life you want unless it is chance based then you will just have to get lucky.
What does Power-Gaming mean? Explain: It's when you force someone to take an action they don't want to take.
What does Meta-Gaming mean? Explain: *I'm a bit more confused on this one* It's when you act/use different information from what you originally said.
You are on a journey to an unknown, faraway land and only have space for items you can carry on your person. You will trek through many lands and environments, and the travel will take you four days. What do you bring with you on this journey, and why?: I will bring a small hunting knife which would take up about 2/3 of one front pocket. I will use this to create sharp sticks *spears* for hunting. I will bring some flint and steel which would take up about 1/3 of a pocket. I will use the flint and steel with kindling I find along the way to make small fires to cook food that I hunt with my spear. In my other pocket (assuming I only have two baggy front pockets) I will carry a small journal and a pen which will take up my whole pocket. Inside I will journal all animals/plants I find so I can use that information in the future for tactics.
You enter a large tavern one dark, rainy night and find yourself in the midst of a drunken brawl. Able to avoid the mess, you go around to the barkeep and order a drink. Just as you receive the drink you requested, a large man with a body built for chopping lumber grabs your shoulder and spits on your face as he demands, “Who ‘re yuh’, ye’ god-damned four-nur’!?” -What drink did you order, and why? And, what do you do and say after the large man grabs your shoulder?: I (seeming like a weak man) ordered a milk hoping not to get drunk after seeing the two men brawling. I tell the large man I am not looking for a fight and am just traveling after a four day journey through an unknown land. Assuming he continues to instigate a fight I would stand up and tell him to stop one more time. If he gets ready to fight, since he is much larger and clumsier (assuming he is drunk) I would have to be quick on my feet and not waste too much energy.
On your way to your house, a tall and muscular man suited up in chainmail armor and wielding an iron sword lunges at you, swinging his blade down to end your life. There was no warning, no reason. The man has the training of a professional warrior and cannot easily be defeated by someone of your skill. How do you survive this encounter?: Assuming the blade was going at a stabbing position towards me (lunge) I would quickly move to the side. He would stumble a tiny bit from missing then I would push him and make an escape for it. Since he is wearing chainmail armor I would head for a river/large water source since if he entered he would drown. If there were none nearby, since he is wearing heavy armor I could most likely outrun him and get to high ground.
III. Character Information Character Name: Sneak
Character Gender, Race, and Age: Male, Human, 23
Character Faction, Job, and Class: Desolation, Blacksmith, and Assasin
Write a detailed and well thought-out backstory for your character. Include your character’s appearance and personality, as well as anything else that would help define who your character is. Avoid any and all clichés, and avoid providing your character with any exceptional skills. (3 Paragraph Minimum): His name is Sneak. He prefers to keep to himself and that's why no one knows his real name. He got his nick name when he was caught trying to steal an iron ingot from his neighbor. He came into town one day as a 8 year old boy. The blacksmith brought him in and taught him some skills as it his current profession/job. Nobody knows where he came from or anything about his parents. He doesn't answer those kind of questions. The only thing he brought into that town was some old white and red clothes that looked to big for him. He has now grown into it and it fits him pretty well. He continues to work with the blacksmith and has a good bond with him. He likes to keep in the shadows and practices skills such as pick locking and sneaking in his free time. People want to know him better but never know how to start a conversation with him. When he learned that the blacksmith was sick he vowed to find a way to save him. Sneak's adventure had just begun here when for the first time he is going to have to travel someone since he was 8. He always has free time and no one knows what he does with it. He doesn't know what he does with it either. He usually likes to think and imagine trying to keep himself sane. When he doesn't have free time he is always practicing some skills such as blacksmithing or some "thief" skill. After a while, the blacksmith has become even more sick. He realizes this isn't some normal illness, but instead the blacksmith has been poisoned. And this is where Sneak starts his journey.
What are your character’s goals in life?: My character's life goals are to become a renown thief and assassin while helping the poor. He is more of a sneaky Robin Hood and wants to master his "thief" skills while conquering every dungeon he can trying to figure out who poisoned the blacksmith.
Anything else you would like to include?: It would be an honor to be in the server since it seems like so much fun and I haven't played on a great RPG server in a while
