You obviously do not understand how the game world works do ya?
One simply cannot go and up make a game, get LWGL and learn how to use it as a java graphics renderer.
Prepare to write over 1 million + lines of code. If i remember the classic minecraft was 2 million + lines of code.
Look for some open source indie games similar to Minecraft or something, there is quite a bit floating out around there, considering it was where Minecraft was born.
"What I do not understand is how the hell do I work game-maker, or unity."
Game maker has no business here.
Mimicking a game isnt going to get any attention really, why would people go with a new game, when they can just mod a current one to match?
Programmers dont do free work, they need a strong interest or some form of salary for their time spent.

This is nobody else's problem but yours. If it is not interesting now, it won't be interesting once you learn it, either. -

Better for what? Better when used by who? If you don't know either language and don't know what you'd do with them then it really doesn't matter what you pick. If you know the languages and you know what you want to do with them, then you wouldn't ask a question like this because it's clearly the wrong question to ask. -

Linux automatically installs all drivers needed to run all hardware in your pc, or whatever you may install. Have you ever used LInux?
Except if the drivers don't exist in the case of a lot of hardware. Then you have the whole reverse engineered drivers most distros use by default. Also missing the applications to manage the drivers, my mouse is unusable without some custom drivers someone wrote installed and even then it is missing dozens of features it has in windows. My Wireless card can't scale its power usage under event he most recent drivers. For years the stock Ubuntu install would be incapable of loading the GUI granted installed the AMD drivers from the CLI is not impossible just a pain and that is for someone who is pretty damn familiar with the OS. The Kernel also lacks anyway to tell if a CPU is in a Turbo state. Intel wrote custom drivers that can be ran however until recently there was no way to implement no generic interface for software to be written.
Understand where and why Linux is used, for a lot of people gamers especially there is no reason to run Linux. Regardless of anyone personal opinion of supporting FOSS you can not lie about the usability and things when recommending people to run something. -

This is false.
UNIX was used in mainframe servers and large systems. It was and still is a commercial operating system, not open source. And it had a myriad of inherent design flaws due to oversimplification of concepts to make implementation easier, such as treating everything as a stream. (which is why it was easier to port to other systems). NeXT, founded by Steve Jobs after his exodus from Apple, create the NeXTSTEP PC system, and the NeXTSTEP Operating System was based on the kernel of the BSD distribution of Linux, which was made available for free.
OSX as we have it now is based on a merging of the NeXTSTEP operating system's design principles with Classic Mac UI to create some weird lovechild that neither side really cares about.
Linux, on the other hand, has absolutely zero code from Unix. Linus wrote it and made some of it aim to be simular to UNIX, but Linux is in no way shape or form UNIX- it's a faux UNIX designed specifically to provide a UNIX-Like system on x86 PCs. -

Linux =/= UnixQuote from MushroomLT
Where have I told you that INSTALLING is similar? I told that the OS'es are more similar, because they are both Unix. Theyre definatly not the same tho. But if you want an easier install, and better hardware compatibility, and somewhat more similar OS, you should check it out.

So you have no money and are going to purchase a computer? Well that's going to be awfully difficult seeing how currency of some sort is needed in exchange for goods/services. I don't suppose you've got any goats or other animals for trade? You might be able to scavenge some rare earth metals by digging in your backyard, but that would be awfully tedious. If all else fails, the black markets booming right now. I'm sure they could find some use for your organs. That should supply you with enough money to rent a proper server.
