EVERYONE. SHUT. THE. F***. UP. STOP ASKING FOR UPDATES 20 MINUTES AFTER 1.3 CAME OUT.
He'll update when he can. MCP has not been updated yet. It's not our fault that you upgraded to 1.3.1 probably KNOWING that this mod wouldn't be updated yet. Try creating an extensive mod and then update it to the newest release a few minutes after it's released WITHOUT the required tools you need. Not easy, eh?
The update was released a week ago specifically for this reason. So that mod makers could update their mods before release.
Anyway, I haven't read through the entire thread yet, but I was curious if you'd support mods that change the way the default model looks. Specifically, I am asking for support for the Mine Little Pony mod. Thanks!
I'm looking for a mod that allows for a whole tree to be "killed" when you chop the bottom block. I've found one for SSP, but I want to install something like it on my server. Does anyone have any ideas as to where I could find such a mod? And preferrably one that does not require client downloads.
I think Mojang have changed something on the rendering. Maybe because of the dynamic lights. I've been obliged to change the spider eyes texture for example... But I can't do the same trick with the terrain.png so I'll look at this small bug later.
I just tried in 1.7.3 without any mods or anything, and it seems that the game just makes anything less than 100% transparent into completely opaque. This has the problem of making everything look kind of jagged and blocky around the edges, especially on the grass, leaves, and sheep textures.
EDIT: Here's a better comparison.
Render Distance: short. I get strange sky-coloured outlines on everything but do get semitransparent pixels.
Render Distance: normal. I get no semitransparent pixels whatsoever. All 99% transparent or less pixels are made completely opaque, making the vines and grass very blocky and ugly.
I'm sorry you were overlooked. I'm generally pretty good at keeping an eye on this thread, but somehow I missed you before.
That's a really odd problem you're having. Did you run MCPatcher first? Are you running any mods? Is this in 1.7.3, or 1.8PR?
No mods, this is on 1.8Pre. It also appears on 1.7.3 with optifine (sprout launcher). Could it be my video card or something? I'm running on a laptop with Mobile Intel Express 4 Series Chipset... I know it's not the best but it runs Minecraft. I also have Java 1.7.
I absolutely love this texture pack but can't use it. The main problem I have with this is that a lot of item textures have semitransparent pixels on them, which means I'll get horrible randomly coloured outlines on everything unless I change my fog distance to normal or higher. I know this pack isn't exactly made for people with lower end computers like mine, but even when I do set my render distance to far, all it does is force all the semitransparent pixels to be completely opaque. It kind of makes the wheat and grass look like ass because it loses all the finite details that shape out the texture.
Do you think you could make a version optimised without transparency? If not, does anyone know any workarounds to this? It's very offputting.
Wheat, render distance Normal
Wheat, render distance Tiny
This affects doors, grass, mushrooms, windows, fences, vines, sheep, and a few other things. I do have MCPatcher on, by the by.

I just want it to be able to handle 3 people playing on it. No more. I can't host the server myself because my computer is way too slow to run both minecraft and the server. I can't find any other way to host a server, and most free hosting sites will not offer java or SSH.
