Dec 10, 2012I for one like the direction that the game is going, but if you don't it's not like you are forced to play with the new content. Don't like the end? Don't go! Don't like enchanting? Don't use it. It is really that simple. I don't understand how adding depth to a game is bad.Posted in: Survival Mode
Dec 7, 2012My last post was deleted rather than moved for whatever reason so this is a remake of the original topic.Posted in: PC Servers
I am looking for 1-5 active and trustworthy players who would be interested in starting a fresh survival server with the ultimate goal of defeating the ender dragon on hard without the use of cheats, creative, difficulty swapping and perhaps mods (the only one I am considering is the /home mod). We can build and make elaborate bases/structures, I am in no rush to make it to the end but would eventually like to make it there, legitimately.
In order to see if you are the type of player I would enjoy playing with I would like to get this basic information from you. If you can fill this out it will help me in choosing players.
Do you have a mic:
Do you have Skype:
How often do you play every day:
What country are you from:
Is English your first language:
Can you speak English fluently:
What do you enjoy doing in minecraft:
To give you an idea of who I am I will fill out this information as well.
IGN: Classified atm
Do you have a mic: Yes
Do you have Skype: Yes
How often do you play every day: 3-4 hours ( more on weekends)
What country are you from: The United States

Can you speak English fluently: Yes
What do you enjoy doing in minecraft: I like building bases, exploring, and trying to beat the ender dragon without cheating.
Dec 7, 2012I was actually thinking about this today, I would like to play with someone else as well; how old are you and what would your goals be? Just building, trying to beat the end, etc? Also would like to know if you have skype and a mic.Posted in: Survival Mode
Let me know and ill hit you up, I have a server that we can use. It was used to play with my buds but they all quit on me.
Dec 6, 2012They will not spawn inside of a 24 block radius, they will not spawn outside of a 128 block radius. They will also start acting very odd outside of a 36 (not completely sure on that number), basically meaning they will randomly de-spawn. From what I gather this means you have a 12 block range in which you can make your trap, too much closer they won't spawn too far away and they will start acting strange.Posted in: Survival Mode
What is more than likely happening is that your spawner is too close to the ground, this causes mobs to spawn on the area around your trap instead of inside it, and that is why your spawn rates seem so low.
The best floor would probably be floor 200 (feet level), this should be far away enough that mobs will not spawn anywhere but in the trap.
I highly suggest using this video as a guide to making a trap as it is simple and effective.
Dec 6, 2012I am just curious as to how everyone keeps from getting lost when exploring caves, strongholds, mine shafts etc. I often get lost for one reason or another and am considering installing a /home mod.Posted in: Survival Mode

I am working in a "Perimeter spawner" all the perimeter of my base is a giant monster spawner, they send mobs to the center of my base to a sorter system.
That would be okay but unless you build your base in the sky a floor level exp farmer will be far less effective. Since mobs are constantly spawning on the ground and not in your trap. Caves could also take a hefty toll on spawn numbers

Sounds like the average run of the mill xp farm like this one .
Pretty damn impressive.
That was the first XP farm I made. I recycled some parts of the design. However, it felt a little slow to me so I tried to improve it.. and feel like I succeeded.
Dec 5, 2012Well I spent some time brainstorming up a very simple yet effective exp farm. Mine involves nothing but lots of cobblestone, couple of ladders, 2 vines, 2 signs, and water buckets.Posted in: Survival Mode
I know enderman farms are probably much better but 20 hours is a little absurd, my design can get me to 30 in about 5 mins and shouldn't take more than 3 or 4 hours to make. If I was any good at making/editing videos I would show you guys. Not to toot my own horn but I think it's pretty damn impressive and haven't seen anything like it.
