    Vazkii, I don't understand how it's possible but I just used your heraldry banner on my house and I went from having a completely blank thauminomicon to it being totally full. I have done NO research and did not use the cheat sheet either

    Additional: After removing CraftHeraldry I now have an empty Thauminomicon

    a similar solution could work for thaumcraft, with a disenchanting block, that is running on vis.

    i especially like, that the system gives you a use for that enchanted gold armor from mobdrops.


    Minefactory is a mod I haven't used before. But that, in essence, is similar to what I was thinking originally, but it turned into an argument about over-poweredness and my idea kinda got ignored

    I would like a way - endgame if you will - to outright craft enchanting books with specific enchants on them. Using EnchantView I rerolled a sword over 20 times to get "Repair" on it once... and it gave me Repair II, Sharpness IV and something else potent.

    This tells me two things:
    1. EnchantView is still cheezy.
    2. The alternative is worse. I am not going to level myself to 30 TWENTY BLOODY times (and use a spell cloth each time to wipe the bad try), per piece of gear, to get Repair on my items. I've generally gotten bored with a particular game and started a new one long before that would happen even once.

    I do not build XP farms. I view them as cheezy and they turn the entire enchanting process into a game of how-long-am-I-willing-to-afk to get what I want.

    At the very least, consider extending the spell cloth mechanic so that, if there are books in the inventory, or some other conditions are met, the removed enchantments are written into enchanting books - perhaps at reduced levels.

    And/Or consider an essentia aware variant of an Enchanting table - along with recipes for each (known) enchants would - along with specific trigger items - consume nearby essentia (and XP as normal) for an 'enhanced' chance for specific enchants.

    An enchanting "research" table with two slots - one slot takes a book (and only a book) to be enchanted, and an item slot, if the item in the item slot is enchantable, then the book will be enchanted with an enchant specific to that item class - so drop in a thaumium sword to get a chance at the usual sword enchants, or Repair (as its a thaumium item), on the book. Incur a viz cost?


    A lot like what I was thinking with an earlier post. You made your point better than I could though

    Netherwart contains: Fungus, Ignis, and Mutatio
    Malum is in: Zombie Brain, Wither Skeleton Skull, and Ghast Tear.
    Those are what I have, I would recommend checking the wiki to see what else has Malum

    I don't know if it's just my bad luck or what...The fluxometer is working for me now but I am unable to build an infernal furnace. I have the correct setup, wave my wand, and nothing happens. After removing Thaumic Tinkerer I was able to create an Infernal Furnace.

    Vazkii, what info do you need to (hopefully) trace out this problem, assuming of course it's not something on my end?

    Additional: Turns out I can make an Infernal Furnace in Twilight Forest, The Nether, and The End. But not in the overworld.

    I can see where it would be helpful to have a way to purchase materials and essences for research purposes. Something like an alchemist villager. But would they take emeralds or something else for trade?

    Several people have said to look directly down. I still am unable to see anything using it. I've tried with and without the goggles and still get nothing. Is there something else I'm missing?

    LOL! You are an evil man! Harvesting is the part I was the most curious about. Very well then, I'm off to vanish into the depths of minecraft for the rest of the day while I figure this out. One question though: for harvesting the leaves can the TDT be used?

    Edit: You were talking about just harvesting the tree, that I figured out. What I'm curious about is if there is a way to auto harvest the silverwood leaves. Most due to, overall, higher amount of purus from the large number of leaves
