Does anyone know how to get the soil fertilizers? Like I said three weeks ago, their recipes aren't in NEI.

How do I get the Accio, Crucio, etc. soil fertilizers? They don't have a recipe in NEI.

Right-click it with compressors or turbines.

Awesome, thank you! That might be a good addition to the RoC handbook - a page that lists what items to use on which engines and gearboxes if they get damaged.

    Depends on the engine type.

Gas turbine. Got sucked in because I wasn't looking where I was walking, oops. :P

Okay, I've hunted all through this thread, and all through the RoC handbook, and I can't find any info on how to repair damaged engines. Someone please tell me?

I have a request for two additions; one for Electricraft, the other for Meteorcraft.

The Electricraft one is very simple: either the ability to disassemble batteries to get the energy crystals out, or alternate battery recipes using the next lower-tier ones instead of energy crystals. The higher-tier batteries get incredibly expensive to produce... one auroral battery takes more than EIGHT FULL STACKS of diamonds. Having those resources locked up in lower-tier batteries that are not needed any more makes it a great deal more difficult to advance.

My request for Meteorcraft is twofold. First, there's already a config option to control the density of ores within each meteor, but I would love an option to control the percentage of meteors that have ores at all. Second, an option to control the time of day they come down. See, I want to create a challenging SSP world for myself, based on the fiction that the moon is breaking apart and falling to ground. I would set the meteor rate to almost ridiculously high during the night - say, averaging one every minute, or possibly even one every thirty seconds - making it incredibly dangerous to venture up from underground. During the day the meteors wouldn't come, so it would be safe to dash out and try to find the rare meteors that are packed with ore - I would set that to around 15-20%.

    This is not possible.

Ah, okay. Thanks! Guess I'll just make more, then. :P

Is there a way to get lubricant back out of a gearbox again? I know it keeps it inside when it's pickaxe'd up, but I'd like to actually get it back out if possible.

Quick question: I'm still using 1.6.4, with Rotarycraft 25z on it. Could someone please tell me what the dry ice you get from the refrigeration unit is for? NEI doesn't have any recipes, and it's not in the RC handbook.

What do you mean by full power output? At that input power, that works out to 2 MJ. Is that the value you're getting? And if you double the power are you getting 4 MJ? It's possible that there's some loss occurring, as MJ is a lossy power system. It's also possible that 2 MJ is the minimum MJ the Air Compressor is going to output.

It's actually 112.640 kW... 110 times 1024 is 112640. That's the apparent minimum power needed to force the air compressor to output power, and it outputs all of it. Anything less than that and it doesn't output at all, and those numbers hold true when either rad/s is high and Nm is low, or the reverse.

Are you modulating the power output of the creative coil by adjusting the torque or the speed? I believe there's a minimum required speed as well. I'm not sure what that is off the top of my head though.

Just tried both ways. Set the coil to output 1024 rad/s, since that's the evenly divisible integer for all engines, then bumped up Nm one at a time until the air compressor started outputting... 110. At 109, nothing. At 110, full output power. Then I switched the numbers, and got the same results: 109 rad/s and 1024 Nm, nothing; 110 rad/s and 1024 Nm, full power output.

Ok, so the reason you're not seeing the Air Compressor output any MJ is that your input is way too low. A single steam engine gives 16 kW, and the conversion rate to MJ is ~56kW/MJ. If this seems high, remember that 1 MJ is 10 RF.

The Pneumatic Engine, as far as I can tell, requires a kinesis pipe to deliver the MJ, which shouldn't be that big of an issue since you need a wooden kinesis pipe to take energy out of any MJ source anyway.

Okay, you piqued my curiosity with that, so I ran some tests. I may have been doing this wrong the whole time, but somehow I don't think so...

Here's the test setup I made in creative: lever > creative industrial coil > dynamometer > air compressor > wooden kinesis pipe > golden kinesis pipe > pneumatic engine (properly lubricated) > dynamometer. I found that NOTHING comes out of the air compressor at all until I hit 131 kW. All it does is build up pressure for a while, then stop and hold there.

just add them back one at a time till you find it, it would be nice to have it on here for anyone that comes in the future

*sighs* Never mind... it's still not working.

Okay, last post about this. I removed Dartcraft, Railcraft, and Teleport Pipes, and now the air compressor and pneumatic engine work. I don't know which one it was that was messing it up because I removed all of those mods at the same time, but it was one of those three.
