Having Recently started trying to toy with some of hte things in the Eldritch tab, im still unsure how something of it functions, i thought i might have guessed it right but as it stands i havent yet:
I cant seem to figure out how to "stabalize" a Flux Rift, I actaully find them quite beneficial to keep around since they take in flux, but im not sure when, or why they become unstable and fall to pieces, My current assumption is they are created once a flux threshold is met and constantly suck up flux to increase its size, but that by itself is something i had assumed to be destabilizing it in nature, and they only "pop" so to speak, after they have absorbed all the flux they can from surrounding chunks, i want to have a void siphon up next to one in a multiplayer server im in, so i dumped a bunch of essentia into a crucible to create a large one, but by the time i created my second causuality collapser for a second rift that opened, i found that both of them had exploded out into taint and the flux in the aura was relatively calm now. ive found no notation specificly stating a "how to stabilize a rift" but im curious if anyone has made setups to both farm void seeds and use a rift for flux cleanup.
I was curious why i was allowed to chain Foci casting varients together, thinking it was just an oversight, i now know better, and have a arcane mine that explodes into bats, i honestly love the current incarnation of foci crafting, its perfect
for the first notion, try scanning the naturally spawning crystals, that should help you out. With the rift i dont actaully remember, im not sure what you tried but they do collapse in on themselves eventually, just gotta give it some time and prepare to fight some taint spores.
Has anyone actually figured out how to get any infusions done that are past negligible without things popping all over the place yet, ive built my first stabilizer hoping id at least be able to get a minor infusion going to no avail. all i know is from the most recent pages here, 5 stabilzers is the new thing to do, candle layers dont work anymore and stabilization is handled differently, and no one seems to know what to do about it.
im recently back to thaumcraft with the b17 (and after an interaction between TC and IaF causing CTD's being fixed) and im curious if anyone has a decent system for handling overflow essentia, i noticed we now have the flux condenser(and potentially the vis generator i haven't actually researched that) as good essentia sinks, ive been having trouble figuring out where to put said overflow in a way that it automates feeding it into one of these essentia sinks. My first idea is creating 3 or so unlabed jars, that tube into flux condenser, hoping it will just take in essentia (note i have heard about a few crashes related to it so im more just future planning it) but otherwise im at a bit of a loss of what do do for this
On another note, a couple infusion questions that ia havent tried out myself yet do the infusion boosters work together well, or do they just nullify their each others bonuses?
Does Runic Sheilding infusion go past 3? theres no indicator that you could in theory go infinate like in the past, and if it does whats does anyone know the essentia calculation for going higher? since the jumps between the 3 arent something im great at calculating but i would assume its something exponential again
Can you automate the infernal furnace with golems?
I tried placing a seal on the hole. The wood golem just dove right in and burned up. It was funny, but not particularly helpful. I tried item grates from dark utilities and vanilla hoppers, but item grates aren't inventories and hoppers don't eject into the world.
If I put the golem on top of the furnace with the material I want (chest), I can have him empty/store it into a botania open crate, but he can't get on top of the furnace from the ground even with climber upgrades.
I guess for now I'll pipe the items into an open crate, but I was hoping for a more pure thaumcraft idea.
you can stick a hopper into the hole, right click on the lava peice it counts it as a block, you then can put a chest or another hopper if you so desire on top of that
I like having one of each personally, seeking ice and fire ones, curse you witches that will drink fire resistance pots if im not throwing fireballs fast enough
Save a few jars and void jar the rest? Also, I think chiseled stone or sandstone has some ordo in it, and less terra than packed ice has gelum. I haven't checked the amounts in about 8 or 9 beta versions, so it may have changed.
i haven't touched void jars in recent versions so idk if it actaully still exist, but voiding essentia is one of hte last things you want to do in the current versions, cause it all would offset into the aura as flux, like it used to, i never made a habit of voiding essentia for that reason, For ordo, chiseled stone is the way to go imo, the stone recipe is 2 stone brick slabs on stacked on each other in the crafting grid, for permutatio, what i found myself doing is melting droppers, it generates a good chunk of excess vis but since the change that makes thaumium 5 terra and 5 precantatio, its a great terra sink, something i do myself when im hitting my caps on essentia types is turn it into crystal form, and them push that into salis mundas, refeeding the system to make more thaumium, granted you dont need all that much thaumium anymore especially with some gear crafting shifts with golems, but its nice to have a little stockpile of it
Roguelike Dungeons helps a lot with the ossuary rooms. I put about a stack of skulls on the walls of my altar.
i end up mix and matching with the skulls and candles, since running with roguelikes puts you at a need for a rotten flesh sink,althouh even when im not running with roguelike spamming candles really isnt that expensive,especially if you have the thaumitorium nad a bit of a backlog of ignis essentia, with the classic method of layers upon layers of candles under the alter
thaumcraft 6.1 beta 12 neither the crucible nor the smelter will take rotten flesh and holding shift over it sais it has no aspects. the crucible does do dmg to me.

I also cant find any way to mix essencia to make it either. humanus is just totally unavailable.
Im not sure what to tell you other then humanas definitely should be in rotten flesh, if its not its a bug. if i had to take a wild guess it might be something to do with a mod conflict changing the data on rotten flesh preventing it from having aspects but without a mod order its hard to really know for sure, second you should probably update the beta since we are on 13 now, 3rd, you have never been able to mix essentia types before, only break them down, the closest thing we had to that was the mana bean system but that hasnt been in the mod for quite some time now.
Yep, I'm at the same point as you. Can't build pipes without vitium, can't have vitirum without all sorts of wrongness.
I think I'll just contaminate some random island that never gets loaded and come back. It doesn't feel like a natural progression though, so I really hope we see a return of ethereal blooms (perhaps with a farming mechanism? I miss mana beans
At this point in time a small rift has open up in the forest near my house, looks like i did end up hitting that flux overflow, if my theory is correct then letting flux manifest in its physical form will clear it up from the aura, whereas ill have to deal with its affects with my own hand, something akin to a forest fire, burn away the dead underbrush to promote new growth, if thats not the case im probably gonna have constant flux issues in which i am not looking forward too
I've been operating at my main base under the assumption that flux evaporates (spacing things out) and that there was at least some replacement for ethereal blooms, and I just needed to get the research, ya know?

I've encounter the rift once so far, cause of the fact that vitnium essentia was required to make pipes, idk if that has been changed or was earlier in the beta, and in the mostly controlled environment it didnt get too out of hand, it eventually dissipated, but not before turning into a taint seed and causing me to be spawn camped till i could kill it cause it was in the chunk my bed was in, wasn't very fun, i have yet to see what happens from a more extreme flux buildup yet, and im not exactly excited to find out

wow its been awhile since ive seen people do massive packs, i can rarely hit 50 before i run out of things i know im going to want to play with
