The current minecraft night sky is fine:

But they could be improved. Don't talk to me about realism. It is more educational. You might even learn a constellation or two.
I think it should be slightly less spectacular than this:

For slower computers it is an option, Dynamic Stars.
When you hover your crosshair over a star or galaxy or nebula, its name will show up in the lower right corner. That is up to mojang because it will take quiiite a while to name all the stars in the sky. So it will only name major ones that do not have names like I-C-1011.

For some reason, I keep hearing a loud train whistle in my minecraft world. Its kind of spooky and its getting really annoying... What is this...
