    2. Wheels
For fracks sake, let's invent the wheel! I'm tired of walking everywhere, and train tracks cost so much steel! We could add them to blocks to make carts or make yurts for mobile shelter, either powered by coal or...
When you see that 6 :Iron: gives you 12 tracks, you'll see that it is quite cheap. A stack of iron will give you nearly 2 stacks of tracks, I'd say that's fair.

True 'nuff, but for really long tracks it takes a lot of effort, and tracks aren't good for exploring landscape and so forth. :sad.gif:

All of the other stuff has been suggested before.

Ah well, my bad. Just seems kind of an obvious thing to do with such large worlds. :SSSS:

I'd actually like to see tracks that you could connect, to make sidings before any of the above. Then I could put a loop at the end of one long stretch of track to turn my train around without dismounting etc.

I have three things that I'd really like to see in MC, and they all kind of link together, so bear with me..

    1. Rope.

Mine gott in himmel. Think of the things you could do with rope that you could attached to two blocks/items/mobs (one at each end obviously) or even yourself.

You could pull stuff, hang stuff from overhangs, make a rope bridge, make a swing, swing Tarzan style from things, keep animals from wandering off and much more.

    2. Wheels

For fracks sake, let's invent the wheel! I'm tired of walking everywhere, and train tracks cost so much steel! We could add them to blocks to make carts or make yurts for mobile shelter, either powered by coal or...

    3. Horses.

In the same vein as the above, a horse should have come before the wolf. I want to travel quickly and easily, and horses would be ideal. Tame them, mount them, ride them. We already have saddles.

    4. Put all the above together, and you could make horse drawn carriages. Charriots! Wagons! The world would be your mollusc.

I await the immediate implementation of the above. :wink.gif:

posted a message on Beds and Difficulty
Yeah, this has happened to me quite a lot too. I was killed in the middle of the first night in my new world and landed in a really exposed area, naked, in the middle of the night (hadn't built on my spawn point!). That wasn't fun.

I think it might be if you have a bed that's in the 'range' of darkness. I've built a bed really high up in an 'air base' and so far it seems to have been safe.

posted a message on It's gone. All gone. Mostly.
So, thanks to this program, I finally managed to render a map of 'my' world. Scanning over it, I saw an interesting looking area, right on the edge.

So I packed my pick axe and sword and set off on a journey to the place. It took a couple of days but I got there, found lots of resources and so on, and stayed a while, built a cool new outpost and so on, all the usual.

Finally I decided to head back 'home' to my main castle. So I gathered up my resources and following my compass, set off.

But what's this? Where the frag is my base? My buildings? My precious skyroad (to travel above it all). Gone! They're all gone as if they'd never been. The whole freaking landscape is back to how it was right at the beginning. My buildings had been removed from time/space!! WTF??

Okay, I do have a backup, but does anyone have any idea why this happened? It's kind of depressing!

posted a message on [DEPRECATED] [1.0.0] Minetographer 0.7.7 - Detailed Map Renderer
Finally a map rendered that actually works on my system! Great stuff, thanks!

Only one thing: Is there any way to make it save the files to somewhere other than my C drive? I'm struggling for space on the system drive!
