Am I doing something wrong, or are shears missing? The other tools look great, but my shears have the vanilla blocky texture.
The texture pack is still a work in progress and thus you are likely to see a few textures missing. As time goes on more textures will be made and the number of vanilla textures left will become fewer. Rayvolution has yet to do the shears texture so it should be the vanilla texture for the time being.

posted a message on 1.7.2 Whitelisted Vanilla Survival Server
Hello, this is Chimeratech and I am interested in joining your server. I have been looking for a decent vanilla server and hope that your server may fit this requirement.

    My Minecraft username is Chimera_Tech
    I am 18 years old
I have been playing Minecraft for almost a year now, shifted from playing pocket edition to the PC version around release 1.4
I want to play on the server because I wish to play vanilla minecraft with a group of reasonable people who I would enjoy talking to. It is my hope that your server would be fun to play on and I could integrate myself into the community.
I am not going to lie, I do not exactly go around taking screenshots my own accomplishments so getting pictures of proof that I am trustworthy is hard, however these are what I could come up with
A server I quickly became staff on, a little dialogue that shows the owner's trust in me.

Another server in which I was entrusted temporary owner because the owner had to go for awhile, the chat isn't particularly important. I was building a cops and robbers minigame at the time.

I am a builder by nature so here are some of my creative builds, some of these were built for other people and some were built on my spare time. I typically build in creative simply because it is easier, but I do build in survival as well

And lastly my survival base on the last server I became active on. It may not be the best but I am quite happy with it
A final note about me: I am a builder by nature and not a griefer. I highly dislike practical jokes and will not troll any of my fellow players. I am naturally generous on minecraft servers and willingly spend my time helping out friends with what they need. I am good at redstone and specialize in command blocks (sadly command block knowledge isn't that helpful in SMP). I am very mature and I do not cause problems. I follow every rule to the intent of the rule; I do not try to avoid punishment through loopholes or the like. Lastly, I never cheat and dislike it when others do.

I hope you consider my application, it would be nice to play vanilla survival with friends again.

Better? If so, I will include it in the next update.
I would say it is better with the lower ratios. It is sometimes nice to have a patch where the grass is fairly smooth.

Ray, just one thing it's annoying me: the ore and glass blocks have some vertical lines on them when you place side by side a lot of the same ones, but just facing the south face of the block, this kinda frustrates because the buildings aren't always gonna face north, so the lines will be visible a lot of the times and they "break" the look of the blocks
This is a 1.7.2/MCPatcher bug and is not the result of Rayvolution. We all find this bug annoying but you are going to need to show a little patience and wait for it to be fixed.

It this a bug of seamless glass patch? From up there are no lines in the middle of glass, but from side there are lines.
    ~snip~
That is a bug with MCPatcher not the pack itself, sadly you are just going to have to live with it until a new MCPatcher is released.

Yeah, I just saw that today. I'm not sure either, my old Beacons worked fine in 1.6, I suspect the problem comes from whatever bug is also causing the panes to be solid instead of rendering with partial transparency like the new blocks do.

Hopefully it's just an MCPatcher issue, if it's an MC issue we probably won't see it fixed until 1.15. ;)

Worst case (and hopefully not) that I have to do if it's an MC issue, is remove the partial transparency from panes. But beacons, I'm not sure how to handle. :/
Well beacons never worked the way they should. Instead of alpha blended glass it has always been the standard wireframe that one would get without MCPatcher installed.

Upon further inspection I seem to have found the issue. In the default texture folder the texture of glass used to be a wireframe without much frills to it; in the 1.7 updates you changed this to a semi-transparent default texture that will not work at all. I would therefore suggest a wireframe for the default glass textures (the ones used for those without MCPatcher) and keep the ctm as is so that those with MCPatcher will see no other effects. That is just my two cents, I thought it would help

Beacons are messed up entirely -_- It looks like MCPatcher is not applying alpha blending to the glass when it is a beacon. Not sure if it is MCPather's problem or the pack's problem but either way it is annoying

Side Project, and soon to be the first-ever "Tweak Pack" that can be loaded on top of SixtyGig in 1.7 to enhance your textures if you want them.

Full CTM Ore Blocks! This Tweak pack will include full standard CTM for Gold, Emerald, Lapis, Redstone and Iron Blocks. Coal blocks may be considered too, that's up in the air right now. Depends on how the CTM turns out! ;)

Early Draft of CTM Gold Blocks:
    ~snip~
I can guarantee you that Diamond, Emerald, and Iron will work out. Not too sure about the others, they might be harder to do but might work.

Honestly, although some of these sound cool, I have had an idea for a modification that would be more of a common use type thing and not so much specialty. You might remember awhile ago I increased the CTM function of the metal blocks from purely random to classic ctm, this is a change I have loved and kept since. So my suggestion would be a pack with similar modifications. Due to the cartoon style of the pack, a lot of blocks such as glowstone lack borders. I have been thinking for awhile it would be cool to add more of the other varieties of CTM other than random. You may or may not like the idea, but I think it would have a great end result.

Really looking forward to seeing what you do with colored glass. I cannot imagine it being a priority at all at the moment since it is only a snapshot feature. Nevertheless, you did a really good job with normal glass and I imagine colored glass will be no different

    Quote from LapisRS

I have it 2 blocks away, funny thing. This setup works in all my other (unreleased) minigames. It's just this world that is broken.
If this is what you mean by two, then make it three. It is better further away than closer since one signal reaches 15 blocks and the other only reaches 2. If you have a moderate length away then I might suggest trying a hopper clock or a torch clock

I tested this theory in the 13w41b snapshot and I can confirm that the testfor command is working properly on a fast clock. I included a screenshot of the setup I used and it is a fairly generic comparator clock. If you use a similar design make sure that your command block is not placed in any of the spots where there is red wool as this will never become unpowered

Forge is compatible with mcpatcher o.o last time i checked i was using them together.
The only MCPatcher version that works for me was from when it was in conflict with forge. MCPatcher 4.2.2 gives me a java heap space error that I cannot seem to fix. I will just use optifine for now, not the end of the world

Just a bit of a heads up, I noticed that in the latest build some of the stone was giving errors in the texture pack and I found the issue. In the ctm folder for stone there are stone textures 0-17 but the properties file tries to render 0-18 so there is a 1/19 chance of a stone texture glitching. This is a really easy fix but I thought it best that you were aware of the issue so you can just change that real quick before the next release.

I am currently stuck using optifine as I am using forge mods and mcpatcher is not forge compatible iirc but I highly doubt that optifine is the cause of this issue. I imagine people using mcpatcher have the same issue.

posted a message on Getting a command block minecart to only trigger once in Snapshot 13w39a
This is not a huge discovery or anything, I just thought it might help some people deal with the current command block minecart issue. The problem with command block minecarts is that they seem to trigger every game tick that the activator rail is powered. Since most redstone works in increments of two game ticks, it is annoying to get it to pulse for exactly one game tick. Here is the most compact design that I could come up with, for whatever reason this design works although almost anything involving repeaters did not.

Just a thing to note, if you have multiple command blocks on the same rail, they will activate in the order that they were placed there. I have tested this multiple times and the order is perfectly consistent, so this could be a nice way to activate a lot of command blocks at the same time.
