The seed "Islander" ("544749986") doesn't have very many islands.

    Dang.

    Entry 15:

A picturesque view of the island from the mainland tree farm. Suddenly isolation seems like a long-forgotten dream.

    Sheep and Spoils:

Ah, the spoils of war. Another witch fell victim to the frenzied spam-clicking of my sword, and it dropped quite a prize. The potion is to useful to be sacrificed to the witch burning pit. It's a shame as the burning has brought a lot of vengeful satisfaction.

I finally got the sheep dumped in their own personal pit of doom... I mean happiness and love. Yes, a pit of happiness and love. I'm not cruel at all. Anyway, I dyed one yellow for some much needed variety. And with the sheep contained, I was able to collect wool far faster.

With the wool, I was able to weave myself a beautiful rug, and I hung up some paintings to give my room a finishing touch.

This zombie loved the decorations so much he decided to take up residence on my window frame. I'm not even sure how he got there, climbed a tree perhaps? Regardless of how he arrived, he robbed me of my precious sleep. In response, I broke open my window and promptly hurled him off. He didn't die of course, and I had to head outside to finish him off. Oliver, although sitting, moved around in the first floor, trying to help me out. Darn buggy dogs.

I dug out the area below my house to make a nice pen for my horse, who needs a name by the way. I like it, and it will look even nicer when the grass finishes growing. Zombies also liked it, and continually halted my construction to offer constructive criticism through means of biting. Their advice was not appreciated, and they were hacked to pieces.

    Road Building:

The problem I've been having with my nether portal is that it is hard to reach. Before this, I had to walk along the side of a steep sand beach, which was a pain. I've solved this problem by carving a tunnel through the portal's adjacent hill and hooking it up to a path.

The tunnel is well lit and lined with sandstone.

    The tunnel's exit.

The wooden path then weaves through the jungle to the back of my porch. Now I don't have to clamor through undergrowth and vines. Monster attacks will still be a problem, but the jungle will soon be lit up with torches anyway. In fact, between the road building and the sheep, this is starting to remind me of Settlers of Catan. No robber please!

I can see why the witch wanted to move into your enchanting shrine. Looks like a deluxe witch mansion.

They really don't have any sense of boundaries.

    Bridging the High Seas:

Inspired by a comment left by a reader, I decided to build a bridge. With a few stacks of oak planks, I managed to get pretty far offshore.

So close, yet so far. It was good that there was a forest here, and I was able to get the bridge all the way to the beach. In fact, this was the area where I got most of my wood supplies, since I feel bad tearing up my island's poor jungle.

The wood I collected got me almost all of the way back. It won't be done for a while, but at least I don't have to swim or sail a crappy boat.

    Enchantment Shrine Completion:

I encountered a witch on the unfinished roof of the enchantment shrine. It was only the latest of skirmishes in the ongoing witch war. One day Fritz will see justice.

Shrodinger seemed to approve of the buildings progress.

Well, the inside is finished. Its roomy, has fence windows, a domed ceiling (which may or may not need a chandelier), and all the bookshelves needed for level 30 enchants. I immediately enchanted pickaxes, mostly getting efficiency 1, but one got fortune 1.

The outside in all its glory.

The view from the water. The portal tower is visible nearby.

    Awesome Things:

Meet Oliver everyone! He's another friend from another world. Like Fritz, his identity does not exist on just one world.

After his taming, me and Oliver went on a journey through the mainland's plains looking for a horse. We were successful, and brought back this beauty (over the new bridge I may add). I found her with a colt and another adult. It took this one because she was the fastest of the two, though not the one with the highest health points. Don't worry, I'm going to have to get a lead and bring back the rest of the family. Now I just need a slime.

During mining I listened to Palladio, to purge boredom, and used a fortune pick, to boost output. Here are the results. I'm only two diamonds from finishing the boots. However, I wish the pick would double the diamonds it got more often.

    Entry 13:

An unlucky number, I suppose it makes sense...

    Sheep Herding:

Using my newly collected wheat, I led three of my sheep from the beach to the grassy area near my animal pens. The fourth sheep mysteriously disappeared while leading them past the nether portal. I soon discovered that I would need a pen for them as they simply wandered in every which way, making my wool collection far harder. And I still have to find the fourth sheep. Surely he didn't take a trip to hell did he?

Of course he did. Well then nether sheep, if you want to be here, then I'll just let you be.

Meanwhile, the other sheep had scattered into the jungle. This climbed a tree, which means he won't eating as much grass, and by extension, not producing wool for a rug. I think they all need to be thrown in a nice big pit.

    Tragedy (again):

Nether sheep had a fatal accident. Not far from the portal, he walked right into a lavafall. I suppose it takes more than a thick coat of wool to survive the harsh environment down in here. I collected his cooked mutton, but didn't eat it. Nether sheep needs a memorial to honor his brave choice and determined attitude.

I buried Nether Sheep's mutton and proceeded to construct a gravestone. Then I heard the foul screech of a ghast, and suddenly what was a lovely funeral service became a brutal and fiery war zone. The ghast, drifting far enough away to dodge my arrows, managed to kill me. The nerve of some things. Now I needed a funeral for myself.

It all turned out well, considering the circumstances, and Nether Sheep got to be buried in the place he loved so dearly (and foolishly).

My sheep don't seem to have a concept of grazing. Eat you {censored expletive}, and grow wool!

    Random Things:

The portal... thingy... has been completed. I gave it a roof, and soon I will add a path from the thingy (I need a name) to my house's porch. I can move on to giving the enchantment shrine a roof, a dome perhaps, as well as other building projects.

In an effort to acquire some much needed flint, I towered up into the sky on a platform of gravel and dug back down. I took the opportunity to snap some screenshots of my island in the moonlight.

    Pretty nice wouldn't you say?
