posted a message on MineSwitcher - Quickly switch between minecraft clients...
    Thanks, --bump-

I figure this thread has gone ghost enough I can at least attempt to revive it. :) The reason no updates were carried out on MineSwitcher is that it really didn't need any updates.

posted a message on False Information and post getting delted
Hi, I'm sorry to pull this old "who's trusted" story; but let me compare the two of you before I listen to accusations of falsifying information (which in some cases can be illegal (not on a forum, but in the real world.) without proof.)

    You: (Fatman499)

Pfft, I'll include myself just to make an example:

Something worth noting with my profile, is that I have nearly three thousand profile views.

... Right, I could probably go through and see how many of your posts are even actual posts and widdle that down to... 15 (just excluding this thread.) Perhaps less if I cared to look. The bottom line of all of this is that you can't go about accusing people of things without any proof, especially if you don't have any standing in the community to be considered credible.

Example: Some bronze league squirt in SC2 blames a Blizzard Representative of "fixing" a match they had. Where's the credibility in this situation? A Blizzard Representative is a Blizzard Representative, that kid probably JUST started playing the game if he's only Bronze league (or is really bad at it.)

This is the same thing to me, you are of "unquantified" significance on the forum here. It doesn't mean your insignificant, but it means we DON'T KNOW how significant you are YET. That's what the reputation system is for.

The discussion regarding a server control panel and other things has been removed. Please keep talk about this in a PM instead of posting here. Thank you.

Thank you for clearing up the thread, I'd asked another moderator a few times but.. they were less than responsive.

On another note, the TCAdmin server is currently undergoing maintenance. We apologize for any inconvenience(s) this may cause our customers.

This maintenance is now complete, and TCAdmin is running quite a bit faster as a result.

Why are you using Windows? I believe TCAdmin2 also runs under Linux. For performance, Windows isn't so ideal.

Of course, but I've only used TCAdmin2 before on Windows and I didn't want to risk it considering the amount of people wanting their servers right away. If it was Linux I wouldn't have to have the cPanel running on a VPS -_-. When I get the second server I'll install Linux and test out TCAdmin2 on that, might move everyone over if it's nice.

Unfortunately, at the time; Centos 5 did not support enough RAM ( 32GB MAX? ) and CentOS 6 is... very unstable as you know, so I'm waiting for the Citrix testing on 128GB RAM for CentOS 6. It's listed as "possible, but not proven"; and I know earlier version of linux in general had the whole "memory duplicating" issue with large amounts of memory.

Also... the last time I tried to assign 500+ IPs to a Linux box... it was bad.

I'd just like to say one last thing about the whole RAM debate.... Here's a screenshot of Task Manager I took yesterday of the main box, I think we might actually need to order MORE RAM as we're not even using 10% CPU across all cores and we're almost sold out as far as RAM goes.

Note: Windows Update was running; and TCAdmin was updating when this was taken, and even that didn't do much to the CPU usage...

    Hi,

I am sorry for your inconvenience, unfortunately PayPal Express Checkout is currently under maintenance. I have enabled PayPal Standard Payment on your account, you will now see a second payment option in your invoice called "PayPal" as opposed to the "PayPal Express Checkout". Please use this to pay for your services.

A credit has been added to your account for the inconveniences this may have caused.

    Director of GoodHosting

All accounts in which have had this inconvenience have been credited for the inconvenience(s) caused. I have (hopefully) resolved the issue, it turns out the PayPal Express Checkout API is broken in WHMCS. While this is outside of my control, it is still an inconvenience to my customers.

    --

We are currently having trouble with our TeamSpeak 3 Voice Server provisioning API in TCAdmin2, as such we will manually provision TeamSpeak 3 Voice Servers upon receipt of payment for services. As an added bonus, we're now offering the option to opt-in to a Mumble Voice Server instead of TeamSpeak 3 if you so prefer.

I assume I would be able to upload Tekkit and run a Tekkit server? Or are there restrictions to what mods can or cannot be used?

Is the server hosted in the U.S. or the U.K.?

Is there a sign up link?

    Quote from Acreo_Aeneas

I'm guessing you are already asleep (no reply to my last reply). I'm about to head off to bed as well. I won't be able to read any replies until well after 7 pm CST (that's the cutoff time for this sale), as I am off to work at 5 am and won't be home until after 7 pm. So I'm assuming I won't be able to order. *sigh* Guess, I'll have to order from elsewhere...

Yes, you can run Tekkit. We also support custom mods.
The server is hosted in the US (Orlando, as posted above).
WHMCS is still being installed at the moment (TCAdmin2 licensing issue) so no signup link is available yet.

I am going to extend the promotional offer until the WHMCS issues are resolved as it is currently impossible for users to register. The promotion has been extended until Friday, May 12, 2012 11:59 PM UTC (ie: before May 13th.)

The sale is still being offered.
The sale was extended until May 10 UTC due to WHMCS delays.

Is there a pro-rated refund policy? Do you know the average turn-around time for the support company?

Is there a sign-up link? How long is setup time?

    1. We offer a 7 day trial, and only offer a paid services refund policy under special circumstances.
    2. The response time of our support company is 30 minutes.
    3. WHMCS is currently being installed, sign-up links and automated processing will be available then.
    4. We strive for instant setup, but depending on service availability server provisioning may take up to 1 hour for standard load, and up to 72 hours for extended services such as Dedicated Servers.

I've read through the whole thread, but just so I'm clear here. GoodHosting's support would only be you? Or would support also be dealt with by the server owner himself (Michael)? I'm assuming Golden Gaming doesn't factor into support?

Hah, no. I understand it's a bit confusing, I've asked a moderator to come clean up the thread to prevent confusion like this.

Our support team is from another company, and does not include me nor Michael. GoldenGaming does not factor in either. I handle all Sales and Abuse/Complaints myself, as well as Billing for customer privacy and ease. Michael handles all the DataCenter related abuse claims such as DMCA and takedown requests.

Is there a possibility of generating a PayPal subscription? Or perhaps switching to a subscription later on?

Would I have FTP access (to upload/download worlds, files, etc)? Which control panel do you use?

I remember reading towards the beginning of the thread that the site is offline. Are you just waiting for domain proporgation and some basic setup or is the site still being built?

Related: how will support be handled?

Yes, PayPal subscriptions are being worked on, we're in the process of verifying our business documents with PayPal to enable this feature. The control panel we use for Minecraft servers is TCAdmin, and you would have FTP to upload/download files; yes. The domain has propagated, but there's nothing on the domain at the moment. The WHMCS license is still pending, so we've obtained a leased license in the mean time and I'm in the process of installing that now. Support will be handled inside WHMCS, through tickets.

I'm interested in the 1GB plan. Is the 50% recurring for lifetime or just a limited time? Do you accept PayPal subscriptions? Is the sale price monthly or prepaid? If prepaid, how long are we prepaying for?

Yes we accept PayPal, and we are currently not using the PayPal subscription service. Months are payed for as invoices, individually generated 5 days before they are due. You pay for 1 month intervals, no contract; and as long as you pay for the first month before the promotion ends your price will be 50% recurring for lifetime, yes.

Ex: Pay $4.65 today on an invoice in PayPal, you will have one month of server (from today to 30 days), and a new invoice would be generated 5 days before the end of this billing period; also for $4.65. You would have 5 days to pay that invoice, and as long as you keep your account in good status (invoices paid on time) your account will keep the 50% off recurring discount on this service.

Exclusively allocated to or intended for a particular service or purpose. So uh, a bit of a mis-communication there :P

Your CPU and RAM are probably going to run out long before your bandwidth runs out. That being said, your provider is probably going to nullroute your IP even before you CPU runs out.

Also, erm, you seem to have contacts all over the place. Good job. Otherwise, good luck with your ventures.

Fair enough, I'll change the OP to remove "dedicated" from the network, as that is mis-communication.
However, the Cisco hardware firewall will mitigate DDoS before it hits the server... CPU and RAM not being an issue then.

Game servers @ host dime, good luck with that. Also be sure to watch your bandwidth burst. Even though HD likes to boost this amazing network they have Manny Vivar will cut you down to 5Mbps in a drop of a hat if your using above 3TB a month.

We've been given 33TB "best effort", with no overage costs.

So which of you is lying here? You say your not a reseller for them, but they say you are.

GoldenGaming... sigh. Michael owns the server (under Aimless.me), and is selling minecraft services under my name (GoodHosting), we have a business partnership. However, GoldenGaming is one of our clients, therein he would technically be the reseller. He's "working with" us in the way you "work with" eNom to sell domains. Sure you sell domains, but you're selling them for eNom.
