i have installed the thermal dynamic mod for 1.7.10 with CoFH and thermal foundation already installed. When i run the game it works perfectly fine until i open up the inventory of any of the dynamos, then it crashes my game when i do so. any help please.

Version 1.1.0 has been released for 1.7.10, 1.8.9, and 1.9.
Changes:
Ported to 1.9
Fixed keybindings not saving correctly after vanilla pick block was overriden
Using pick block while sneaking will pick the most effective tool in your inventory to break the block
Using pick block on an entity while sneaking will pick the item with the highest attack damage in your inventory; if two or more items share the highest attack damage in the inventory, the item with a higher attack speed will be picked
Double tapping your keybind while sneaking will act the same way as using pick block while not sneaking
1. Can anyone say something about the performance of this mod? I mean, do all those block and light updates affect a server's load significantly?
2. I just looked at the LightSource code and wanted to ask if you could provide a way to add light sources. For example, I was thinking about adding my Holy Cross.
1. I have not observed much (if any) increase on my server's load even when there are several people using handheld light sources and many hundreds of torches are placed. On the other hand, using handheld light sources can be a bit rough on the client, and may cause slight FPS drops; I have not observed anything massive, however. But I wouldn't worry too much about the server load.
2. That's been on my to-do list for a while. You can expect to see a config option for this in the next update. (EDIT: Added in 1.5.4.)
I don't know if these problems have been resolved already but there were 2 major bugs that were quite annoying:
• You can't re-light the torch after breaking down a burned out torch (I forgot if it was just matchboxes or flint & steel. Maybe both).
• Placing 2 matchboxes into the crafting to repair them generates an infinite amount of matchboxes.
Both of these should have been fixed several versions ago. Let me know if they're still occurring in the latest version (and if so, also what other mods you're using with it).
Keep in mind that in the crafting grid, unlit torches can only be lit using matchboxes. When they're placed in the world, unlit torches can only be lit with flint and steel. Also, about that first issue, make sure torch.noRelight is set to false in the config.
I really like this mod. I use it in my pack on Curse, and its amazing for a little early game hardness.
I think it would be pretty cool if you could use the Match book to start fires but at a higher cost of its durability. Like maybe 8 so you can only do it 8 times at most. The reason I think this would be cool is I use Minetweaker to make Flint and Steel require Steel. Meaning you must go to the Nether first. So an early game Flint and Steel replacement with limited uses would be super useful. Tho a Flint and Steel substitute even with out the change stated would still be pretty useful as you only really ever have to light one fire to start your nether portal so it would be a nice cheaper way to do so and not waist that one iron.
Thanks for the suggestion. I will consider adding it as a config option.
Also i am amazed on how fast people are updating to 1.9
*Is the code for forge 1.9 similar to that of 1.8.9 or something?
It's not nearly as big of a stretch as 1.7.10 > 1.8 was. 1.8 basically overhauled Minecraft's render engine, so it took a tremendous amount of time for most mods to update to it. 1.8 > 1.9 is much simpler; as far as I can tell, only rather small changes here and there. Most small/average-sized mods have taken less than an hour to port.
Pick Block Plus is a lightweight, clientside mod that makes several improvements to the vanilla pick block function.
Features
After using the Pick Block Plus keybind on a block, if you have the block anywhere in your inventory, it will be moved to your currently selected hotbar slot -- unlike in pre-1.9 vanilla, where the block must be in your hotbar for this to occur.
After using the keybind on a block, if you do not have the corresponding block anywhere in your inventory, but you do have a "broken state" of the block, it will be moved to your currently selected hotbar slot. Examples: dirt from grass, cobblestone from stone, etc.
After using the keybind on an entity, if you have a spawn egg for the entity anywhere in your inventory, it will be moved to your currently selected hotbar slot.
After using the keybind on a block while sneaking, the most efficient tool to break the block will be moved to your currently selected hotbar slot.
After using the keybind on an entity while sneaking, the item with the highest attack damage in your inventory will be moved to your currently selected hotbar slot. If two or more items share the highest attack damage in your inventory, the item with the higher attack speed will be moved.
After double-tapping the keybind while sneaking, it will behave as it would without sneaking.
In creative mode, the keybind will function as it normally would, and will place the corresponding block or spawn egg in your currently selected hotbar slot.

You're using a deobf version of Chisel. Don't use deobf/dev versions unless you know what you're doing with them.

The game is attempting to use a render distance higher than 16, which is only supported in 1.8+. Lower your render distance.
