Usually the only way to get a siny legendary is by saving the game before the event, battling, and then reset the game if it's not shiny, and then repeating the process. He's saying he wants to get a shiny on the first try. :3

Can you "catch em 'all" in the games. I'm not talking about version exclusive. I'm talking about the national pokedex. Can you catch all the pokemon from diamond, red, gold, yellow etc. without linking and trading.

Which ones can you only get from linking and trading? I have an original DS lite, Pearl, Soul Silver, Saphire, and Fire red so i should be able to get them all I am just wondering which ones must I transfer over to white? (BTW I also own black so forget about version exclusivity)
There are ALOT that you'd need to transfer. Like, only 20% of the past generations are found in Black and White. So you'll have to transfer the other 80%.

You connect to the dream world using your DS, then when your pokemon is in the global link, you get to go in. You can find pokemon, plant berries, and meet other pokemon with houses. With berries you can decorate your house or even change the whole thing.
