Double post(Maybe?), sorry:
The biomes... In the tundra, the grass is this cyan/greenish blue, and in the deserts, it's a bright orange.. The others.. A bright green, like in the photo. I might tone down the extreme biome(Tundra/Desert) colors, but if I do release the pack, I'll have the community decide.
That water is pretty awesome, I must say. And the simplistic style, though quite common, looks really nice with this one.
What placeholder textures are you using?
Thank you, RagingBearFish and Onion.
Answers:
RBF: I'll probably end up removing them, mainly because half normal/half blossom is weird.
Onion: My placeholder is Frenden's... He's kinda my inspiration behind this whole thing. The title for this pack is "Hal Pattern Pack," due to the obvious patterns..(sand.)
I thank you guys for the water. What you don't see here is the grey particles, meant to suit the clear water. I really wanted to do something about the water... something.. clean, tropical, yet realistic at the same time. Mainly realistic.
Hello, for a month or so, I've been in the slow process of making my own texture pack...
It was going to be my very own custom pack, but.. ever since I found the Cherry Blossom "forest" created by my Foliage.png, I was amazed... :biggrin.gif:
So, now, I ask you, should I release it when I finish? Or not?
By counting up to 156 individual blocks total, I have 60% complete. Meaning I have 94 complete.
Roblox? That old game?
I can only do simple things like Portal 2 Excursion Funnels, Aerial Faith Plates, and cubes. (Yeah, according to Roblox, those are simple.)
I can't really do anything like Block placing, block "breaking," crafting, generating or any minecraft stuff... Sorry. D=
But hey, you have Festbawi! (If I read correctly.)
I think the Terraria developers are more compassionate towards their players. For instance, they know people have already spawned at least one hundred thousand different maps already, so they know they can't just rewrite the generator in one fell swoop. It also seems that they have practically an entire warehouse of updates in store for us, while Notch is still coming up with them. (And the fact that no update is world-breaking like Notch's updates...)
This song, shown being played during Chell's adventure through the 1940-60's Aperture Science.
I'd like to see what you guys can come up with, with this song, story wise... Meaning, who is singing and why is it sung? :biggrin.gif: I'm not sure if there's an official sotry behind it anywhere, but, I feel like reading creative things...
(Please, no storyline arguments... I want these to be clean perspectives, not fact vs. fact.)
Here's my go on it:
Chell, the daughter of Science. Chell, the daughter of Caroline and Science, or who we know as Cave, Cave Johnson. Every night, Caroline would sing this cheerful lullaby to Chell, consisting of no words, just voice... The song came directly from Caroline's soul, and had always touched Chell's heart. As things grew dim for Aperture, the lullaby's stopped, and unfortunately, the work built up. It went from a happy place of dreams to a overworked space of darkness. Chell had missed her Mother's lullabys, but nothing could draw back the happiness that once was... All seemed dead.
Years had passed, Chell's father had passed, and the new Stasis Chambers were created, and she was sealed away, and she thought, "forever?" All signs of family went lost, and Chell never spoke again, because really, she couldn't find anyone to talk to the next time she woke up... Her memories of her mother and the lullaby became as twisted as the facility. A test-crazy AI looking to kill her, small confined, deadly rooms. It was a warehouse of death to her, and yet, there was still nobody she thought she could talk to. The memories still grew more twisted, and at the moment she found herself in the condemned facility, her mind went blank... The only song she hears is the demented, twisted, parallel of the lullaby she once heard...
I agree with the posts here, it is very much worth it. I mean, I even met [Insert famous dude here]! It was actually better than you think! Plus, I managed to become friends with a vampire ghost... Eery ****. [No Sarcasm, really.]

Here's that Ch-Blossom forest, by the way:

I think it was done, but quickly abandoned... I think my friend Orca101 tried it..

There's no need for this. "It's okay to not like things, but don't be a **** about it."

No, no threads like this. It's like carrying a leaky bottle of gasoline in a pyromaniacs house.

What? Reread the thread... We're not trying to find out anything here... :ohmy.gif:

Yeah, it's a doosy.
