Due to a current glitch with the Wolf mob implementation, if you log out with your wolf/wolves sitting, they will be stuck in the sitting position.

I'm pretty sure this didn't happen to me earlier. I logged in, updated, found my dog, sat it down somewhere and logged off. Later I got back on and went out to have it kill a few pigs with me, and it worked just fine.

I kind of remember my first night. I know I had it for a short amount of time, probably a day at the most. It was magical, there was a strange land formation that was almost a floating hunk of land but had a thin thing of dirt connecting it to the ground, like a balancing rock. Other than that, I was in a fairly flat valley, and there were some mountains and hills around. I remember my base was built inside of a large empty a little ways up that looked like someone just scooped a big piece out of this mountain. I closed off the entrance with planks, and hid away for the night. I was not only horrified of the monsters outside, but the monsters behind the wall I had to build to close off the massive cave in the back of my house. I died a few times on that world and at one point died and thought "Okay that was terrible" and deleted the world. Made a new one and that became my first big, established base.

That one was basically a part of a mountain that was just kind of missing part of it, with a giant mountain face on one side, and then another piece a few blocks away that looked like it was kind of curving towards the mountain at the top. I spent a few nights mining and building a giant wall to close it off and just kind of settled in for awhile.

I was facepalming pretty constantly when a friend of mine was playing for the first time. It's not like it was his first time ever seeing the game or anything, he'd definitely watched me play a lot. It took him 20 minutes to craft some sticks, and he got killed by a creeper while I was trying to explain the difference between a row and a column to him.

I had a terrible time trying to make an AND gate that connected 2 levers in 2 different rooms, and activated 2 iron doors. It was meant to be kind of like the double doors in hotels, where two rooms are connected by a doorway, but 2 doors are in there so that people can't just walk into other people's rooms without asking or anything.

I don't know how, but I got it to work, and even made sure it's impossible for someone to be like "Oh yeah sure you can come in" and then flip their switch back down to close both doors while you're inbetween them, trapping you forever.

You need to open it with some like winRAR.

I've saved all my gold on my main world. Everyone is always like "Aw dude stop hoarding it it's a waste not to use it" but really I'm just saving it up until I have enough to make a throne or something for myself.

I have no problems with enemies at night, really. Most I need to worry about is the odd spider that sees me while it's wandering by. It's not like massive hordes of zombies just head straight towards you the second the spawn.

For me, my town was born of pure hatred, all directed at a single mountain. I destroyed that mountain, and built my town on it's grave.

Zombie's are the easiest mob to avoid and combat, but they have the hardest hitting attack outside of a creeper explosion, and are the second fastest mob. Plus, there needs to be some relatively generic enemy, might as well be the zombie.

This. Any mob is easy to escape on a flat plain, but zombies can be horrifyingly strong in large numbers, especially if you're backed up into a corner

I actually think it was probably one of the pirates from the Humans+ mod. Don't they drop chests into the water when they die, with all of their inventory? If you have that mod installed then that's probably the case, unless you see chunk errors in the rest of the terrain nearby

I remember my bucket being eaten awhile ago, but I expected it would come back after the little fire went all the way down, so people couldn't just take their bucket out halfway through and have practically infinite smelting power.

It'd be nice if it would take the lava out of the bucket, instead of making the bucket disappear as well.

I'll probably get one and only have that one with me at a time, but then have a horrible room where I'll keep my extra dogs for when my current one inevitably dies.

I doubt they'll take away too much from the experience. If anything, I'll be leaving my dogs at the surface so they don't fall down my mines, into lava, or get demolished by skeletons

One time I was off adventuring and got lost for a few days. The game was getting progressively laggier the whole time, and by the time I was walking from my port to my front door I was getting like 1-2 fps, probably. Zombie killed me while i was trying to get into my door.
