Unless FC removed it, 1.5 was the version that added ability to stack snow cover by adding multiple snow layers (crafted like a slab recipe) on the same block. This actually gets even finer control to the height, with 8 different layers (and therefore heights) possible. Again, not sure if FC removed it, but its worth trying quickly to see if that feature is still there and gives the aesthetic look you are after.

flowerchild would love if you would make this compatible with optifine or make your own version of it
You do realize that's exactly what he's been working on the past 2 updates right? Maybe take note of the title, performance enhancement?

In reply to one of your questions... A good suggestion was the diamond saw, built much the same as the current iron saw yet intended for wood. The anvil seems like a real quick/cheap work around.
First, I think you meant "intended for stone" instead of wood.
Second, the problem is that the diamond saw is one of the things on the do not ever suggest list, so that means it is automatically NOT a good example.
First post after a long absence, and it gets ninja'd. Back to the occasional lurking, mostly absent.

Its a launcher that makes it easy to install and turn on and off mods, though as im told below it dosent work with forge (which i was using) yet, which is fine, i can always add in mod loader as well. Thanks for the fast reply!
That won't work. Both Forge and FL edit the same base classes in some cases, which means one or the other will always break if you install them. Just wait for DJoslin to have the time to figure out Forge and it will be fine then.

Let me rephrase what i meant. I understand the reason for reducing food stack limit, its so that the quality of food has more meaning when you take it on your journeys. But i don't understand why chests/dispensers/hoppers can't hold 64 in a stack. I would have to make 4x more hoppers to catch my carrot harvest and 4x more vanilla dispenser blocks to auto feed pigs. And for the BTW dispenser block auto carrot farm, that just became 4x more maintenance requirement since it can hold 4x less "seeds" which are carrots.
TLDR; Player holds 16 food stack limit. Chest/dispenser/hopper hold 64 food stack limit.
Stack limit is defined for each individual item, not what it is stored in. What you are asking is impossible without a significant overhaul of the Minecraft item stacking system, which falls under the general idea of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

In most cases, yes forums are for discussions of ideas and suggestions. You had the unfortunate luck to stumble upon one of the few people that views unsolicited suggestions as rude, and is extremely averse to any suggestion unless it meshes completely with his specific view of what he thinks players would find the most fun.
About vanilla villager repopulation in vanilla Minecraft: the maximum population of a village is based on the number of doors leading to an "enclosed" space (see http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Villages#Expanding_and_creating_villages for information). If there is room for more villagers to be born, and the villagers are in a good mood (ie no one died to a zombie recently), they procreate.
About BTW villager repopulation: As was said, villagers reproduce through diamonds now, like livestock with certain crops.

If you refuse to tell us what the errors are and you don't show us a crash report, there's nothing we can do to help you solve your problem.

After spending a few hours reading the more recent pages of this thread yesterday i read that you were "finalizing" BTW, will you still be keeping it compatible with future releases of minecraft?
Also RTH kept popping up, is there somewhere i can find out a bit more info on what that is? As even doing a search for it in this thread what come up was very vague?
Sorry if these questions have already been answered but its a VERY long topic to read through from the start .
Thanks in advance.
Last it was mentioned, FC was planning on keeping BTW updated to the most recent MC version, just no new tech will be added.
RTH is purposely vague because FC doesn't have much worked out with it yet. The best place to find information about it is in the various dev diary threads on the official BTW forums.

I couldn't get the mod to work with optifine, wich is not so great for me because i cant even move without optifine.
Hey flowerchild i have a problem to report.
No matter what i try i cant get optifine to work alongside BTW
Ive tried installing the mods in a different order to see if a file from one of the mods overwrite a file from a different mod, but i just can't get it to work.
( yes i deleted meta-INF i am not a retard )
Here is the error report:

1) Use spoilers for error reports, its more polite.
2) Did you try using the search feature the forum has to search this thread? Because if you did that (or even took the time to read almost any recent page of the thread) you'd know what the problem is.

Hey, I have an Idea for a new Item, Something practical. A parachute item. Goes into Chest slot on armor, Crafted using 3 Fabric 2 rope and 1 padding. On a Number pad the fabric would be in 789 the rope in 46 and the padding in 2. it removes all fall damage if the fall is longer than 12 blocks. displays an entity and slows falls to half of "S.T.E.V.E"- Speed of Terminal Entity Velocity Effect.
There's the Feather Falling enchantment for boots that already reduces fall damage, why add something else to do that better and cheaper?

Start watching for endermen to battle, or do some research about an endermen trap.

The wiki talks about how several of the 'Hardcore' features can be disabled in the mods config file, however the only thing listed in my mod_FCBetterThanWolves.cfg is this;
# #Sat Feb 02 22:53:09 CST 2013 checksum=0
So what am I missing?
Copy the file BTWConfig.txt from the downloaded zip file into your base Minecraft directory. And maybe next time try looking at the ReadMe file included with the download that also explains this.

Found another bug, and this is real! When I one-hit KO'ed a pig with a Battle Axe and by a critical hit, it dropped me Porkchops and a Steve head!
Nah, that was the head of the last unfortunate adventurer that tried to kill the pig! (Really does sound like a bug though, but I'll let FC give the final answer to that).
