We might be able to bring back the "Logic vs. Realism" section without having it as long as it was the last time? "This adds realism!" is still a painfully common thing in threads, and a ton of users don't realize it doesn't actually help their ideas.
I am just saying that a hammer would bring a little more reality to the game and also keeping it simple
Adding realism doesn't really... "add" anything. It's not exactly fun or increasing any sort of gameplay value. Right now, this hammer is just... there. Realism is a neutral (or sometimes negative if it adds senseless difficulty) attribute. Not a positive one.
even the task of taking down a big wall or something like that in real life takes a big hammer manualy that is
Here I actually see this being useful, but even then, a hammer doesn't need to be there for this. Making this a necessary thing for making armor/tools might be a slap in the face for players because something easy now suddenly has a pointless, unavoidable step.
I wanted to make it seem like the Nether is taking over the Overworld. And only the Overworld has a Moon so it's the only dimension that kinda fit the bill. Not to mention you can't normally see the sky in the Nether and it's comple void in the End (but I guess it could be possible there?)
Ehhhh... I never liked the idea of dimensions bleeding into each other, but that's just me. I don't know, just giving a mob a "moon" is strange.
I am thinking about making some changes to how the Nether Moon item works as well as the days (I won't be changing the basic mechanic but I'll change the Wither Sickness).
My support went up a slight pinch just because of that.
It's interesting, but the mechanics feel very random. The connection between that and the Nether Star seems like an out-there thing to make for a suggestion like this.
I will say though, how mobs react to the moon phases is very well thought out, that's easily my favorite part of all this. I'd say to scrap that Wither sickness potion effect, it's lame to take a boss' signature potion effect and slap it on mobs. The whole "moon dust" and "nether moon" stuff is just something that I wouldn't associate with the Overworld, hence why I think some of this is kinda random.
I'll sooner surround myself with wolves and iron golems before I spend painful amounts of time collecting Wither Skulls, then making one Nether Moon to give to one mob. 20% support. It has some potential but doesn't feel very vanilla.
I know this wouldn't really be that important of an addition
The all caps thread title says we just "NEED" this but you say this would just be another food source and not that big of an add. Which one is it? Regardless, I can support anyway. This is more of a Small Suggestions thread kind of thing, though.
When you're right, you're right. A truthful thread title, and I support pretty much everything. I don't think the speed boost (on flat tracks) is entirely necessary, though.
I understand what you're saying here. I have some ideas about this armor, but I was waiting to see if the general concept was received well.
This is possibly one of the worst habits a suggester can have. Always explain things in full no matter what. If it's something you want overall, it should be presented. Leaving pieces of the suggestion under your hat just confuses people.
This suggestion returns once more. Stop going "everyone hates it" as if you surveyed everyone. Making the entire purpose of an update optional is an awful, awful choice. Honestly, you should have searched, because this is something the forum's been over more times than anyone could ever care to count. There's been megathreads about this.
A lot of people hate hunger. A lot of people hate creepers.
I don't really see your reasoning for making these bold claims.
I goofed up here, as you only meant sneaking affects speed. Still seems like a very minor (though not terrible) change though.
Suggestion was for armor rebalancing, not new armors. Those were simply ideas to create a picture for readers. And what do you mean sloppy? They would be added to provide a better end-game for potion users.
I know what the suggestion is for, but you quickly mention two different armors just to go with the label "magic armors". Your proposal for how gold armor should be sounds balanced enough that there doesn't need to be more "magic armors" at all. That just comes off as filler at that point. And something like any kind of new armor isn't something that shouldn't just be named if it's part of the suggestion.
I can't explain it very well, but if you want any new tool/armor/whatever into the picture, it should be given some details with stats, obtaining know-how, all the backing behind it etc. I don't know if that kind of thing can be written off as 'just painting a picture'.
-Future magic armors could be Platinum armor, or Ebony armor, and provide even better status effect efficiency.
This suggestion ties into my recent suggestion about daggers. When using a dagger, light armor would make it easier to sneak up on a target, and perform a damaging stab.
That's a bit of sloppy reasoning just to add more armors. These new ores/metals would need extra uses to be worthy of adding to the game than just for the sake of better armor magic... Right now there's just two 'maybe' armors mentioned with no extra details behind the materials.
I like the idea of the baby dragon that follows you and does nothing. It's kind of like a little pet! It also isn't overpowered because it would just fly with you.
Well it's not overpowered because it's completely useless. =/
Granted it doesn't shred enemies with beefy beefed elemental attacks like some people here make a thread about, but that would be the other extreme. I guess it'd be neat to have a trophy that follows you around, but still, one egg per world. So only one player (in MP) gets to have this. This part is subjective, but I can already see the suggestions pouring in that are basically "dragon pet needz more things 2 do!!!"

So... is this like in the form of a new command or..?

Or the community that always hated him no matter what?

I could easily think of worse games. Ignore your "friend" or get a new one.

It's a beautiful idea. Assuming it has no programming horrors, support.
