posted a message on 1.5.1 95% complete stronghold with pretty neat layout.
Hey guys, Found this really cool stronghold and i just wanted to share it with you.
    The seed is:

    -368607005

It's for a Large Biomes map. The stronghold is in a snowy forest.

    and the coordinates are:
    -670
    33
    809

That puts you in the ender portal room, right on top of the spawner.
The layout is probably the coolest layout i've seen in a stronghold. Not only that, but pretty much 95% of the stronghold is in perfect condition, with only 1 or 2 rooms broken up by a cave system.

I only had time to take one screenshot, but here it is:

    Quote from Cain05

Pretty harsh statement when you consider that fact that it seems like there's only two coders for the entire game. If there's one thing Minecraft needs is more developers because it's under staffed. Also, I didn't know they were obligated to tweet something every day. Perhaps they're too busy fixing things to give you an update?

I'm just making a joke XD

It seems there is a lot of confusion on the boards about what a code freeze is. Hopefully this will clear things up.

Mojang using the term "code freeze" is a little mis-leading. What they should have called it is "feature freeze" and that's what I'll be referring to in this post.

During the feature freeze period, no new features or additions are made in order to prevent what's called "feature creep". Instead, the developers focus on fixing bugs, finishing content that is already in the application and of course optimization. This is done so that when the deadline arrives, the application is stable and relatively bug free. Note that there is no such thing as a completely bug free application. The idea is to the get the critical bugs fixed.

An application generally enters feature freeze for two reasons: 1) All content has been added or 2) a release deadline is near. In Minecraft's case, we're looking at reason 2. The deadline for the release is Novemeber 18th, but not all the features have been added yet. So for the next month, the developers will be fine tuning the game for the target deadline. What this means is that, assuming the developers follow the restrictions on code freeze, what you have in 1.9 pre 4 is roughly what the final product is going to look like on deadline day. Obviously some features have been added since pre 4 was made available, but if they release a pre 5, then that is what the game should look like come November 18th. Once the game is released and the code freeze has been lifted, the developers are free to add content. This is where patches and DLC comes in.

Hopefully this helps clear things up for people not familiar with software development.

When referring to Mojang, a code-freeze is a time where they forget about what work is entirely and play with Nerf guns and go to bars. They haven't tweeted anything about minecraft or work for the past 2 days.

posted a message on How would you like to dragons to be?
I think it would be awesome if you had to have a specially enchanted arrow (say, 1xp level per arrow to enchant) then, you have to shoot the dragon in a very specific and hard to get at spot. Let's say the spot is like, 3x3 or 5x5 pixels wide. Also, you would have to shoot it like, 5 times with the arrow in that spot, all while dodging his fire breath and swipes from his vicious arms and tail!
