    Well that was easy.
    Dispositions are done!

    I also just finished a quick and easy Greeting system.
    Basically, depending on how the NPC likes you (5 different ranges), one of 5 greetings will be selected, for a total for 25 different greetings! Some will even greet you by name!
    This lowers the chance of repetitive conversation. No Skyrim guards here!
    I haven't added in occupation-based greetings solely because every NPC is a person, and will all treat you like a person. If a Guard like you enough (You helped their family member with a Quest, or something), they will greet you like a friend instead of treating you like everyone else!

    Now for NPC interaction and finished Family system. Woo. Fun.

    Ran another quick simulation of the finalized NPC generation script.

    I only need to balance out the populations (So it's randomly generated what the "Large" cities are, instead of them being balanced.
    I ran the simulation 4 times prior to this.

    Only need to add dispositions to each NPC, and it's done ^.^

    Honestly, people.
    You need to learn to read and stop griping. I said I was adding Factions back.
    I'd just need to work out the smaller bugs first, since it degraded slowly.

    And to those that stated I "Just threw the plugins in", that would be stupid. I tested them on my home build of the server and everything worked for me. None of these things you mentioned had showed up, or even appeared in the configuration, so I don't know why they are now.
    Either way, I said I was switching back, so no need to get so uptight.

    It won't be until later tonight. I'm not at home until Monday, and running off of my school laptop. I'll do my best, though,

    Hmmm.
    I'm looking through the entire configuration...and I see nothing about Power requirements.
    Also, it is relatively easy to gain the supply requirements, although the money might be hard. That was on purpose.
    As for the protections not working...that's an issue.
    I suppose I can add Factions back. Although it was broken and I'd need to fix it first.

It's a massive pain in the ass to assemble the materials for each individual machine, but it will turn faction strongholds into more than just giant warehouses that can be packed up and moved in the space of an hour. It can also, theoretically, be used to encourage trade - large factions will be able to manufacture things that noone else can.

    (side-suggestion: make all dogs drop leather! Especially if you're going to disable iron/gold/diamond armor recipes.)


    That's what we have.
    Not all the buildings are for production, but some buildings do pump out items over time, providing you give them supplies (More bread for less wheat, ammo, iron, etc).
    Other buildings heal your health or stamina over time, or provide explosive protection, etc.

    I'm aware of the lag spikes. It's not the amount of zombies...but I'm working on finding out what is it.

    Radiation has been there since we put the server out.
    It hasn't changed at all since then. I haven't touched the values, or even opened the file.

    Short guide to the new Faction system;
    1) All commands can be found with "/hs" and "/hs 2".
    2) FIRST THING: Claim a Safehouse. Stand where you want it to be claimed, and type: "/hs create safehouse". Note that within 10 blocks of where you're standing, you need to have 16 Cobblestone, 16 Wooden Planks, and 1 Diamond Block or it WILL NOT WORK.
    3) Start a charter. Stand where you want your base to be (MUST be within the Safehouse area), and type "/hs charter safezone <Enter Name of your Faction>". Note that the name MUST be one word. This requires 400 Shards.
    4) Have your friends sign the charter. To start, you NEED 3 signatures! They must type "/hs signcharter <Name of your Faction>". Doing so will increase your Safehouse protected zone into a Safezone, and increase the protected radius to 15 blocks.
    5) You can now upgrade your area! Building new buildings within the Safezone will allow you to make new areas, and eventually new buildings. Each upgrade is listed as follows;

    Redoubt (Requires Safezone) (Radius of 20):
    -1 Safehouse
    -1 Warehouse
    -1 Radiotower
    -1500 Shards
    -7 Signatures
    Stronghold (Requires Redoubt) (Radius of 30):
    -1 Safehouse
    -2 Warehouses
    -1 Radiotower
    -1 Barracks
    -5000 Shards
    -15 Signatures
    ManufacturingFacility (Requires Stronghold) (Radius of 50):

    If any of the key buildings are destroyed (Currently only through explosives, which are disabled on the server temporarily), then the region will fall, and the center of the building will explode, resulting in further block damage. Make sure to protect the buildings the best you can! Explosives will NOT be re-implemented for some time!

    Does this require like a pretty big empty space for these industry buildings to be created? or can you make this in a building and go from there


    Provided the blocks are nearby, you can still claim it.
    If you happen to find a partially built Warehouse...you can still claim it as a Warehouse (Provided you supply the missing blocks).

    As Gamegeared and Phantom stated, large amounts of Radiation still bypass low-level armour. And high enough can bypass a full Diamond set.
    There's no way to avoid it, you just need to wait until it dies down, or build a GECK (We will be making sponges available for this soon).

    In other news, it's been confirmed. The lag is essentially 100% gone.
    BUT...
    I ran into another small, annoying problem I'm still working to fix.
    Basically, every now and then, the entire server lags up for about 3 seconds, then goes back to normal.

    I have NO idea what's causing it, but I'm working to fix it.

    It will be back online later tonight, fully playable with no whitelist.

    Okay. Here's what's going to happen in the update;
    -I'm keeping every player inventory file of 600 bytes and over. That generally means they actually have something in their inventory.
    Otherwise, I'll have to transfer over 10000 files. This shrinks it to just under 1000.
    So if you DO lose your inventory...I'm sorry.
    Though, to be fair, you probably won't if you've played recently. But again, if you do, sorry.
    Ask one of the Admins and we might reimburse you with a few items (We can't give you your inventory back, or give you the same items you had.)
    -The map will be 3000x3000, instead of 1200x1200, and have much more varied terrain.
    -Shops will be in varied locations, as well. They won't all be in basements.
    -The entire Faction system is changing. All previous Factions will be deleted, as we are no longer using Factions. The new system is much better and will be explained completely.

    Any questions or concerns, feel free to ask.
    As a bonus, we'll make all Release donations now available for Beta 3.
    If you donate for something in the Credit shop in Beta 3, you will get it as soon as we can give it to you. PLUS, you will get it again during Release!
    We need a good amount of donations before the 1st or the server will have to go down.

    As a final note...the lag is officially gone. We've fixed it.

    as for void...well, take it or leave it, I guess...you can edit it to fit, but remember that it is basically a counter-elemental, counter-magical element...I suppose what you could do is add a "Void" rank to armor, as, from what I understand, an element such as this would best be used for armor, for defensive purposes...
    if you do make it a type of armor...make it EXTREMELY rare, got it?

    That makes more sense, and I could most definitely add that in, or at the very least something similar.
