Hi,
I searched the forums but could not find and answer.
I had a player on my server run around aimlessly in the wild, creating massive portions of the map that will never get used.
Is there any way to shrink the map based on so many blocks from the spawn?
Thanks
KC
edit- The server is running Windows 2008r2, so no nix software preferably.
WTF? How did you get a herobrine model in the map?
I went to the armory then to the kitchen thing, when i turned around he was behind the counter thing. I killed him without thinking to get a screen shot. Also not trolling.
Im not running any mods, etc...
EDIT: It just happened again. Its definately not herobrine, (his eyes are there)
I took a screen shot this time.
Thanks for the tutorial i created the service but java isnt finding the main function of Minecraft_server.jar...

I am particular confused with this part. Does it look right to any of you neckbeards?

i fiddled around with redstone yesterday for the first time around aswell and i somehow managed to create a working double door with pressure plates with redstones underground, working from both sides. i'll try to scribble it on paint for further explanation. i suck with words... but the key to make it work was quite simple. put an inactive redstone to one door and another active redstone with the help of the redstone torch !from the other side to the other door! plus a bit of wiring inbetween.

nvm revisited my doors, hope it helps sort of...

Sometimes doors are pesky.
This is what you need to do. Add an inverter to the door staying open and this will reverse what is happening to it!
Ignore the open door, this will work for you. Ive had to do this several times.
Here ya go. This may not be exactly what your looking for but since you can't get your model working, sometimes its easiest to start from scratch. This is a schematic i made using a toggle swtich. Both pressure plates close and open the doors

Here is a breakdown of the circuit.

Is that a working latching switch? I've been trying to figure out a latching switch for ages! I could get a RSNOR latch working, but could never figure out a single latching switch. I was playing around with inverter delays but I gave up in the end. Going to give this a try as soon as I get home!!
Why yes sir it is. Walk in either side and the door flys open, breeze by the second one and it closes automatically. Mine is now a double door setup and i added a lever to lock the door so the plates wont work anymore.
i was playing mincraft when i started thinking "minecraft would be awsome on the 360 getting all your friends to buy/download it and have little mining partys while you lie down on your couch playing it on your tv. there would be a pretty good rate of income if it was so people im a right or out of my mind?
Minecraft is currently in open gl and java. It would have to be ported (/rewritten) to directx and windows (xbe) binaries. That takes a whole team of guys months.
Do I get this right? The two pressure plates are the two grey blocks and the door is the thing in the middle of them? Edit: Yes, I got this right! :smile.gif: Thanks for the extended explanations!
Then this doesn't solve the problem. I think their problem is not that they can't trigger one door with two plates, but their problem is that due to the "double-door-bug" they need to put an inverter in their circuit to fix this "double-door-bug".
(By "double-door-bug" I mean the fact that if you build two doors next to each other they won't work properly as soon as you connect them to redstone. One door will always be the opposite state of the other, so your door will neither be completely open, nor completely closed whatever the input is!)
Basically the only thing they have to do is to put an inverter into the circuit for the door that bugs!
With your circuit you would still face the problem of one door not working properly!
Still good for triggering single-doors.
The circuit is more of a means to automatically open and close the doors. Adding a second door would be a piece of cake.

Here ya go mate
And a more realistic double door variant
remember, you may have to place an inverter for the second door.
