My name came from a nickname, my brother gave me. He gives me many nicknames, but only Caruso stuck. I can actually remember the spot I was standing when I got it, and what the sky looked like. It was at the beach, near the corner of a condo, and the sky was dark, but still had light to it. The 09 part originated from my age at the time of creating account for many games, but prior to that, I it was Caruso07.
Nowadays, I use the name nkdcaruso occasionally, which originated from an XBox Live account I created, but I had two of them, so Caruso09 was taken, so I put in Caruso, but for some odd reason, it added nkd to the front, so for my steam account primarily I go under nkdcaruso, but Caruso09 is still my true identity.

Name: Melody Lavend
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Appearance: Melody has thick dark red hair, which possess the trait of flowing curls. She has a narrow face, with brown eyes and a small nose, aswell as thin lips. Her build is slightly bony, but isn't skinny rather, slender, and is only 5'6" and weighs around 140 pounds. She wears a leather tunic with green semi-tight pants to allow free movement. A side note: the area around the front of her neck is scared.
Personality: Melody is a shy, independent woman, which mostly comes from her physical disability: muteness. Although she is independent, she loves being around people. They give her a sense of communication that she previously couldn't achieve, which makes her a rather person to be around.
Bio: Melody want born mute. She'd lived 11 years with the ability of speech, up until a terrible accident. At the age of 11, she woke up in the middle of the night to the smell of smoke. She instantly knew what it meant. She opened her bedroom door. Flames flickered wildly. She had only one way out: through the fire. The heat was unbearable, but she was never in the wall of flame, but then something unexpected happened. The roof of her home caved in, and in this, a skinny, flaming beam swept towards her neck. It struck, causing a large, burnt gash to appear, and her balance to fail. She struggled to get up. She couldn't get up, in fact. She thought it was all over. Then He showed up. A stranger. He pulled her from the flames. He brought her to safety. He saved her life. He disappeared since. After Melody was properly healed, she was told her parents did not make it out. The next ten years were strange. She war never mad she couldn't speak. She was mad that she lived, not her parents. Time skip to the near present: Melody was sent on a mission with many others to colonize new land, only to be shipwrecked on the way there. She washed to shore at a place she called "Shipwreck Cove." Amongst the wreckage, she found weaponry, which she had very little knowledge of using.
Other: Due to her disability, Melody notices body language on an expert level. She hears everything aswell, a skill developed from never being listened to. She's also a thinker, since she is always stuck to her thoughts.
((Sorry about the skipped years in the biography. It's almost 2:30 AM my time and I can't think 100% clearly. ))

Macadam finished the trap he'd been making for a few days now. It was a sort of snare that lift the victim five feet in the air by the mid section. This being the trap, any intruders would be incapacitated and ready to be questioned. Macadam tested it on a log, seeing that it would hold anything that came inside, due to the bark of the log shredding under the rope. "Not bad, no bad at all."

-One Week Earlier-
Macadam hadn't a care in the world. He kept his thought to himself, while he waited for his bus home. He was listening to The Odyssey by Homer on his iPod Touch. When a man sat next to him. The man was talking to Macadam, so he took out his earbuds. "I'm sorry, what did you say?" The man looked at him, "I said the weather is fine today isn't it?" Macadam didn't know what he was talking about, as there was a light drizzle, causing it to be very humid. "I'm afraid I can't agree with you." Macadam said. The man gave him a strange look, "Well, there's not a blizzard is there?" Macadam saw reasoning in his logic, "I suppose that you're right. I'm Macadam by the way, Macadam Evans." Macadam was suddenly pleased that man appeared. "Nice to meet you Macadam, I'm Raul Cunningham." Just then, Macadam's bus appeared, therefore he stood up and walked towards the bus. "Nice to meet you Raul." Macadam called back. "You too Macadam." Raul said, ((Zoom in on Raul slowly)) "But beware, a great challenge is ahead of you." Macadam turned around to ask what he meant, but he was gone. Puzzled, Macadam slowly backed into the bus.

-One Week Ago-
Macadam looked out the window of his apartment. Raindrops hit the glass, and slid down. Macadam saw pain in the city he loved, pain that would be permanent. Macadam just watched, he didn't do anything. How useless a person could be. Macadam didn't want to watch the city slowly fall apart, but he couldn't do much to help. He just sat back in his chair, thinking about What was going on.
((I must apologize. Family has been in this weekend, and I've been in a rush. After they've left I should have better quality posts. Again, sorry.))

-The Previous Day-
Macadam set down the mandolin he had brought with him, it being the only instrument he knew. He loved the sounds it could make, but Macadam was never very good at it. He had inherited little skill on the violin from learning the mandolin, but was even worse on it. Macadam heard that unintelligable noise again. It was a different pitch, higher. "I must be going insane." He said to himself. He stood up, and took a long swig of his beer. Macadam was currently in the works of a complicated trap, but he had run out of metal, and money. A thought occurred to him. He grabbed a hammer and smashed the cash register. Inside was about $500 dollars. They left in a hurry. Wonder why.

Macadam stood under the roof over the gas pumps, watching the rain fall. Every so often, he would hear something he could not make out. Almost as if it were someone else's emotion being toyed with, and he was hearing thier desolate thoughts. He reentered the gas station. He rummaged through on of the desk at the front, and pulled out a straw-like tube. "Handy." Macadam knew the purpose of the tube, and that it was made to transport liquids. Macadam walked slowly a door that said, "Maintenance." He pulled open the door. Inside was his workshop, and a generator. "Appears to be gas. About 5/8 full." he said to himself. He pulled a level and the lights came on.

Running with the Undead
Story:
Objective:
Rules:
Application:
My Application:
Gender: Male
Age: 31
Appearance: Macadam is a tall, slender man with dark blonde hair. He is in fair physical shape, due to his years of work. He has calloused hands, strong arms and core, and thick legs. He usually wears a casual outfit, consisting of blue jeans and a dark colored v-neck t-shirt.
Personality: Friendly, helpful, and persuasive. He loves to be around people, and he can manipulate peoples thoughts to better support his ideas.
Short biography: Macadam loves machines. He always loved how things moved together to do a desired task, and he wanted to create those things. He always had machines blow up in his face, but he kept trying, until he made machines fluently. He was around the age of 30 when he could make machines fluently. Two years later the outbreak began. He only survived due to his mechanical ability. Advanced locks and hinges, electrical traps, bear traps ect. He decided to leave the city. He left with everything in his workshop, and found an abandoned gas station where he set up for the impending apocalypse.
Skill set: Great with machines, electrical setups, and has minimal training with shotguns.
Weaknesses: Not too terribly brave. Mostly relies on machines for protection.
Why should I acc- Wait. I'm the owner. I don't need to answer this. But you do.
