Even when they brought in horses based off of Zhark's version, they still adapted them and used original code IIRC, but yeah, I was thinking mostly the same thing you were, Mojang would be well served to have Zhark adapt this idea too.
And sharks as well. I want to drop villagers with crappy trades into a shark tank in vanilla MC already

I wonder how source blocks would work, otherwise your gravity-inverted poison water idea sounds like a very interesting approach to getting poison gas into Minecraft... may even work for smoke to especially while playing with textures etc.

I'd like to see more recipes involving mushrooms... could be cool to be able to make my favorite sausage and roast mushroom/onion/etc. pizza in Minecraft

I've got a few ideas for mods (nothing I want to share presently, not until after I've given up developing them on my own anyway) that really aren't related to each other... honestly I could see maybe doing a "master mod pack" if you were like me but also had a few mods already developed- structuring ideas along one central "theme" if anything else will help brainstorm on ideas.
I really like the giant-related ideas you have- SO sad Mojang elected not to develop that mob further. I'd suggest focusing on your giants-related ideas and then maybe branching out into some of your other ideas.

I was about to ask if this "might" work in Minecraft 1.10 given how many 1.9 mods work between the two versions... then I saw MentalMouse42's posts (looks like he's trying to run 1.10 if I understand? sorry, just getting back into Minecraft/mods after being out of it for a few years). Is 1.10 sort of a "try it at your own risk" proposition at this point, well moreso than usual? Thanks

I'd love more dragons to be added to MC, but I have to agree that outside of mods, I really can't see tamable dragons being able to be balanced enough to make it into vanilla. That said, it still is a cool idea you have

Rapid progress on this so far... digging the cultist, I could see someone like him building the vanilla desert temples.
I should shoot for that sort of time commitment too, you're really inspiring me to develop a few ideas of my own

JK it is good to understand just how the Lovercraftian mythos was originally constructed and how it's changed over time/since other creators started playing with the ideas. Good call on citing Enderman too

I like both with and without horns... maybe you could do a variation, like the horned one could have higher health/maybe be larger? If I had to pick I'd keep the horns though
