So it's ALWAYS been like that ??
Funny - I'm sure I played a version of minecraft where the bucket 'stayed' once used in a furnace
Perhaps THAT was a 'bug' (in one of the snapshots perhaps) which was then 'fixed' later ?
So it's ALWAYS been like that ??

1) Personally I don't like the 'Suicide' or 'Full health' buttons, so perhaps change them to something else like....
'God mode' toggle (instead of 'Full Health') - STOP health from decreasing in the first place
And
'Warp Home' (instead of 'Suicide') - a quick way to get back to the last spawn place you were (e.g. last bed you slept in) with all that you've collected (since 'Suicide' kills you & you lose everything)
Great way to get home if you've wandered out a long way & forgot where you lived :wink.gif:
2) 'Skill level' toggle between whatever you are on and 'Peaceful'
- Great to clear a dungeon full of MOBS while you construct a EXP farm (or whatever)
Press once to 'peaceful' & again to go back to whatever you were on beforehand (Easy/Normal/Hard)
3) 'Rain on/off' toggle instead of 2 separate button (yep I know Phobic suggested that in his video - I like the idea of that)
- Do the Same for 'Day/Night' - a toggle to swap between the two - if it's Day... make it Night, & visa-versa
4) 'Stack Inventory' - allows you to 'stack' non-stackable items (e.g. Diamond Pickaxes) in your inventory
- There's been a few times I've collected a lot of stuff BUT ran out of inventory space - but didn't want to 'lose' anything I'd already collected by dropping stuff to make room
I know there's the 'Warp Home' button but you can only take what you're carrying & not what what you've left lying around
Otherwise - great MOD... keep it up

It tells you there's stuff nearby - BUT you still gotta search for it (unlike things like Xray where you can 'see' exactly where it is)
In the /.minecraft/ folder there should be a file called 'findercompass.cfg'
Open this up in 'Notepad' (for windows - don't know what the equivalent is for Mac's)
and you'll see lines like
In this case, 'Mob spawner' (52:26:255:.....) is 'enabled' while 'lapis lazuli' (21:55:70:220...) is DISabled
you'll know this because the numbers for 'lapis' have a '//' in front of the numbers while 'spawner' doesn't
To Enable anything - remove the '//' from the numbers & save the file
To Disable anthing - ADD a '//' (without quotes) to the line that have the numbers in it
As for 'what they mean' it is dependant on the 2nd/3rd/4th number in the line of numbers
These are the Red,Green,Blue colour values of the needle that shows on the compass
If the numbers were 255:0:0 then the needle would be 'Pure Red' - since the first number is 'R' & has a value of '255', while the 'green' and 'blue' are both '0'
If the numbers were 0:0:255 then the needle would be 'Pure Blue' (Red=0/Green=0/Blue=255)
A google search for RGB colours should help you determine what colour is what (I found a picture that might help)
@ AtomicStryker: suggestion (although I guess it would be difficult since the cfg is read on loading) - any chance of 'turning on/off' needles while in game ??
There's time I want to look for a specific item (chest sometimes/ diamond others) but having to quit game & alter cfg each time is a pain
Would it be possible to have a 'load cfg' hotkey in game that loads in a different cfg file each time
e.g. say I have a FinderCompass01.cfg' and a Findercompass02.cfg - each time I press a button on the keyboard, it will load in the 'other' cfg file than that is already loaded (so if '01' is loaded when game started, then it'll load '02' & visa versa)

I'm trying to find 'melon seeds' - & despite finding 4 dungeons not a single one has had them, so instead of 'wandering around' using 'finder compass' MOD in the Hope of finder a chest... this at least will know roughly in what direction I should go in

....My suggestion is for the interface BEFORE you actually start playing
(more of a 'More control over the TYPE of map created' suggestion - I guess)
How about...
1) When you select a 'Flatworld' - you get the option of 'how deep' you want it before you hit Bedrock
Currently (I believe) it's only 3 blocks before bedrock, & I've seen some people ask for 'deeper' flatworlds (I guess to hide redstone circuits etc)
2) When creating a 'normal' world - give options to select which type of Biomes it should have when making it. Some people may like a [very] large 'Desert' map, while others want a large 'forest' map (& with the latest update - a large 'Jungle' map)
If we HAVE to have every type of 'Biome' in a map - what about sliders to select what we want more of - at the cost of having less of another...
e.g 50% Desert, 10% mountains, 10% Jungle, 5% forest 2% chasm 1% River.... etc etc
3) A lot of people seem to like 'Island survival maps' - so how about an 'island' checkbox.
Select this & when MC is creating the world - it'll make a series of islands surrounded by large expanses of water
On the subject of 'island survival' - I've seen a lot of 'skyblock' mentioned as well - so an option for 'skyblock' map may be nice - similar to island BUT with no water around the islands - just 'air'

Better make it 'balanced' then - as in one bucket of water lasts for xx number of coals..
... can't really have one bucket/one coal ratio - you'll have to be there all the time 'filling up' the water

Every version I've played - I ALWAYS seem to get myself moving even when I'm not pressing any keys
It seems to happen usually if I'm right clicking & moving @ the same time

- I think the crafting of this should be a little 'harder' to achieve than just cobblestone & iron, but not as hard as iBlackShadows 'Destructor Mod' (that one requires a LOT of Iron to make)
Not sure of Demisedulous design though - I think I'd like the idea of including 'Obsidian' and/or 'Diamond' into it somehow - perhaps replace the Iron for Diamond or Obsidian
I also agree that 'Gold Nugget' should replace 'Gold Ore' - I don't think I'd like more 'Sand' or 'Gravel' as an output.
Personally I'd like Coal,Gold (nugget),iron ore, redstone and diamond (Yep - the same stuff as iBlackshadows) - these are hard enough to find anyway (especially 'Diamond') when mining, so having the rare chance of getting a Diamond from all the Cobblestone you collected is a bonus.
(What I DON'T like about iBlackshadows version is that he's addded stuff like 'craftable spawners' and the 'miner' but I do like the idea of depending on WHAT you crush depends on what you can get)
My preference (in order or rarity):
Crush Cobblestone - Diamond(Very Rare)/Gold/Redstone/Iron/Coal(Common)
Crush Dirt - get Saplings(Rare)/Sticks/Seeds(common)
Crush Sand - get Glass block (Very rare)/Bonemeal(common)
Crush Gravel - Coal/Flint
Perhaps you could have a config file so that people can choose what items come from what materials - & the chances of getting them (but maybe put a limit to the values entered e.g. 'Diamond can ONLY have a max of 5% chance of appearing' / 'Coal can have between 20-30% chance

(I can't check at the moment as I'm in work )
I prefer this one than the 'Rockcrusher' MOD, since this one requires you to work at getting the materials (Diamonds and a LOT of Iron) to make/power the thing, unlike that other mod that only requires cobblestone & iron to make it
(Although I don't like the amount of iron required to make it - can't we have gold & iron mixture ??)
EDIT: dam - just tried it & it's NOT compatible with Minecraft 1.1....YET !!!

.... No really I CAN'T WAIT !!!!!!

This is the one MOD I always install when a new Minecraft comes out.....
(unlike TMI.... that makes the game TOO easy :wink.gif: )
I'll be downloading when I get home from work tonight
EDIT:
@ Mr_I_Failed - IIRC this doesn't need ModLoader, you just 'inject' it into your minecraft.jar file (I use mcpatcher for this usually)
I believe Mods that NEED modloader usually have a 'mod_xxxxx.class' file in them somewhere to allow modloader to know that it's compatible with it - & this doesn't

I can tell you though I use Windows XP (+sp3) with 2Gb DDR 166Mhz memory (not sure of the timings of those though) & a 400Gb SATA drive
I also have a e6750 CPU so don't know how that compare to the sempron one you have
& it runs...
... but will admit that at times I do get a slow down (I think it's mainly due to JAVA than to Minecraft - as [ctrl][alt][del]shows JAVA using a LOT of resources)
I can use HD textures up to 64x but it does seem to crash more often, currently I use a 32x pack
I can't use any of the MODS that 'improve' the water graphics or BUMP maps - but I'm currently using the optifine mod & it seems Ok apart from the occasional graphic glitch (Like seethrough blocks)
EDIT: Found this site where you can stick in some of your PC details & it'll tell you if you can run it, problem is that it doesn't seem to have your graphic card

I've tried this but there is a problem....
I've managed to get 2 windows open on the same PC with both players on it ('Cannonfoddr' and 'player')
If I want to use 'player' as my Camera, as soon as I alt-tab over to my 'builder' (cannonfoddr) I get the 'game menu' pop up on 'players' windows as it has now lost focus
Even if I use timelapse I will have to keep toggling over to 'players' windows to return back to the game THEN to take the shot. Any tips on how to keep prevent 'player' from going to game menu once it loses focus ??
the only other way I can see in doing this is if I have 2 PC - each connected to the 'localhost'

That's what I'm waiting for - then I can do my own time lapses in Single player mode (although I don't know how the camera could be 'pointed' to look in a particular angle other than in 90degree 'blocks')

What Picture hosting site are you using ?? (flicker/picaso etc)
Also, try editing your first post & just add the web link address to the bottom
- even if the [ IMG ] doesn't work - at least people can still click the link & pop along to take a look at it
EDIT: -
Well for those who want to see them - I've (think) I've got screenshots of those places
(BTW - These are jpg on Flicker)
