As a redstone item this is practically useless, but I'm sure some use could be thought of for it. The supercharged creepers bit could help in faction traps. Good idea overall, but increase the radius a bit. 16 blocks just isn't enough.
Throughout my Minecraft travels, my Minecraft data has been clogged up by lots of strange byproduct files of mods. With the new launcher, I'm going to have to relearn how to install mods, so I was wondering how I could clean up my files. Could I take my saves folder, copy it somewhere, and then delete everything? Would that cause any strange side effects that I'm not thinking of?
I'd appreciate some help. I'm on a Mac, if that changes anything.
Every time that I try to play on a server that still uses 1.5.2 with the 1.6 launcher it says "Failed to login: java.net.SocketException: Address family not supported by protocol family: connect" Java is up to date too. Any help to fix this would be great!
It's not a bad idea, but it might be hard to implement. Technically speaking, the Nether has only one biome, Hell, so adding a new biome could be tricky.
What are you talking about not being able to downgrade? I did it just fine. Make a new profile, and click the version dropdown, then scroll to 1.5.2. It's that simple.
Minecraft is great because of it's limitations. Like in old 8-bit games, you only have 16 colors
So no.
It is impossible. Armor is rendered with a little changeable layer of pixels that are changed based of the hexadecimal values of the dye that was chosen, similar to Biome grass. Wool blocks are textured individually, and if they weren't textured individually tons of adventure maps would break.
Still no support, but no support with correct logic.

You have to change the settings. Optifine can also make the game more graphically exhaustive.

Are you using a 1.5.2 profile?

With all this bad press about "Always On", I'd be surprised if they didn't let you play offline.
